You we’re a kid yourselfWell, when I was 13 or 14 years old, myself and about 6 of my friends (well, just neighbors) including two children, brother and sister probably at age 6, 7, 8 or maybe even 9 years old, were really acting crazy. In trying to be popular or something, I exposed myself. There was laughing, etc., and I felt stupid ever since. I think it actually earned me a bad name among those I tried to be popular with.
But my question now is, am I considered a child molester for that?
Some three or four years later, I heard those "friends" had gang raped another girl.
Now while I was still at about 13 or at most 14, a few days after the crazy encounter mentioned above, the brother and sister came by where I was using the outhouse. I called them over to me. They didn't attract me. I have never been attracted to little children, but for some reason I just wanted to show them. I did expose myself to the brother and sister and explained sex - or what I thought I knew about it. Well, I guess I felt I could just because I had already acted crazy when my "friends" were around. They explained that they had seen their parents naked, so I guess I wasn't the first.
But another question is, I guess I am considered a child molester for that second exposure and discussion - right? But I have never done anything like that since.
I feel like a better question would be, "Can you love a child molester like Jesus commanded you to do?"
If they have become a new creation in Christ, then yes and we are called to do it.I feel like a better question would be, "Can you love a child molester like Jesus commanded you to do?"

What I initially stated was, they must repent and turn from their wicked ways. THEN, I said they should also turn themselves in. The "also" was a seperate sentense from the first sentence and non inclusive for salvation.
There are many scriptures though that tell us what we should do when we have wronged someone. I don't think it's an "in order to be saved" but is still quite important in turning away from one's wicked ways. Refusing (not to be confused with you no longer have contact with them and are unable to ask for forgiveness) to do as scripture instructs is sin also. (James 4:17) If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them. And in the event that the harm done was a "crime" such as molestation, I believe they should turn themselves in.
I found this site fairly informative on the subject of restitution to those whom we have harmed: https://www.gotquestions.org/restitution-Bible.html

No problemI’m sorry I misunderstood you. I thought you were saying it is required for salvation.
Please ask me again friend. I'm having problems with this computer and lost info. I'll find the correct answer in God's Word. Thank you...Did I say anything was wrong? I've no interest in proving it wrong or right.
I questioned you and you would not answer, I basically told you that's up to you to answer or not, and ended it...oh well.

A child molester cannot be saved, but a child molester who puts their faith in Christ with the heart becomes changed and is no longer considered a child molester, and Jesus paid for that persons penalty.Based on Matthew 18:6, my opinion is not a chance
Jesus forgave themSociety always tries to find a group of people to single out for special contempt. I guess it makes one feel better about oneself. At least I'm not like THAT loser. This need to find some group that you can hang your hat of anger/contempt/accusation on is a dangerous one.
Child molesters, sex offenders are today's lepers. They have to register wherever they go so that everyone will know they are unclean
Check out how Jesus dealt with lepers and other outcasts of society and I think you'll be given insight into whether or not a child molestor can be saved.
I’m confused. Are you saying they can or cannot be savedA child molester cannot be saved, but a child molester who puts their faith in Christ with the heart becomes changed and is no longer considered a child molester, and Jesus paid for that persons penalty.
Liars, fornicators, child molesters, homosexuals, who never put their faith in Christ all end up side by side each other in hell and have no chance of being saved.
It is a bit confusing.. its like thisI’m confused. Are you saying they can or cannot be saved
Not quite. The sin of Blaspheming the Holy Sprint is the unforgivable sin, so not all sin is the same in God's eyes
I use to blaspheme the Holy Spirit all the time when I was an agnostic. Now that I put my faith in Christ, I repented of my sins and put my faith in Christ that I will not end up in hell. Not quite.
