If God is going to save all people, what is the purpose of this farce we call life on Earth? And, why shouldn't I do anything I feel like doing while I'm here, if I'm going to end up saved anyway?

Hopefully you will testify to the defining aspect of what drew you to the Lord Jesus Christ. While we wait on that let me attempt to answer. God is not going to "save" all people, He will reconcile all broken creatures back to Himself. There is a wonderful equation in Romans (actually a couple) but in Romans 5 we read that the mass of mankind "were made sinners" through Adam 1 : that same mass (polus) will be "made righteous" in/through the Last Adam.

The whole of created life shall be delivered/set free/emancipated from the tyranny of change and decay.."

You call it "farce" the apostle calls it "tyranny".

Greetings my friend:The belief that Abba will have all mankind to be restored back into union with Himself was firmly believed by a number of schools in the early Church. The restoration does not include a get out of jail free pass, but means the mass of mankind (the polus) "made sinners" in Adam1 will be the same polus "made righteous" in the Last Adam, our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus the Lord. This is not mere fancy of feeling good Theology, but rather, the purpose of God in His Son, His "cherished" purpose in Him. He not only desires this outcome, He wills it with determination!
