Ah, I am sorry to hear this, Traveler. You sounded so happy to talk about him all the time. So I am with Wayholka on this one; I hope it wasn't a begrudging breakup?

I don't know if we broke up on good terms or not. I didn't scream or yell at him though I did cry some while on the phone with him.

I was happy, SK....I loved him very much and was committed to him but at the end of the day you can't make someone love you or choose you. He just wanted a career more than he wanted me and that's okay, at least he was honest about it.

Ah, thank you for explaining what his reasons were, and letting us know how you were feeling about it. It seems you have made a mature response to this bad event both aloud to him and in your heart. Now I will not worry about you so much. But please hang in there. And try to remember that at least for this amount of time you were happy, and in love. I know it may be really cliche to say this right now, but I do truly believe (in most cases, anyway) that it is better to have loved (and been loved), and lost, than to never have done either at all.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I hear ya. The heat down in The South sucks. I shouldn't HATE going outside in the spring and summer, but around here it usually is too hot for me to not find excuses to avoid the outdoors (yeah, I know, I can be a real wuss about the heat sometimes ).
