  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't know if we broke up on good terms or not. I didn't scream or yell at him though I did cry some while on the phone with him.

I was happy, SK....I loved him very much and was committed to him but at the end of the day you can't make someone love you or choose you. He just wanted a career more than he wanted me and that's okay, at least he was honest about it.

Ah, thank you for explaining what his reasons were, and letting us know how you were feeling about it. It seems you have made a mature response to this bad event both aloud to him and in your heart. Now I will not worry about you so much. :angel: But please hang in there. And try to remember that at least for this amount of time you were happy, and in love. I know it may be really cliche to say this right now, but I do truly believe (in most cases, anyway) that it is better to have loved (and been loved), and lost, than to never have done either at all.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I hear ya. The heat down in The South sucks. I shouldn't HATE going outside in the spring and summer, but around here it usually is too hot for me to not find excuses to avoid the outdoors (yeah, I know, I can be a real wuss about the heat sometimes ^_^ ).

geez, i don't get it, i'm super exhausted but not sleepy...maybe adrenaline still pumping...have to wake up at 5:30am. It's almost midnight.
