I don't understand the above and it doesn't matter.
But every book in the N.T. was written to believers.
Of course it matters, and the New Covenant books are to Christians, but not every verse is ABOUT Christians. Is 1 John 1:6?

Sabbath keeping with all it's rules and regulations, was part of a covenant with Israel (Exodus 16:23, 29; 31:12-18; 35:1-3; Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3, 32; Numbers 15:32-36; 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13; Amos 8:5; Nehemiah 10:31) that is not binding on Christians under the New Covenant.

*Colossians 2:16 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

References for principles of 9 of the 10 commandments are reiterated under the New Covenant, yet the command to keep the Sabbath day is not binding on Christians under the New Covenant.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me. - Acts 14:15
2. You shall make no idols. - 1 John 5:21
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. - James 5:12
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy. - Not binding on the Church - Colossians 2:16-17
5. Honor your father and your mother. - Ephesians 6:1-2
6. You shall not murder. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 John 3:15
7. You shall not commit adultery. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
8. You shall not steal. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 4:28
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. - Romans 13:9-10; Colossians 3:9-10
10. You shall not covet. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 5:3

It has nothing to do with "binding". these are things you should WANT and Choose to follow because you love God and your neighbor...

How do you all define "keep" the commandments? Sinless, perfect obedience to all of the commandments 100% of the time? We are all disqualified (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23)

After searching the Greek word for "keep" which is "tereo," I discovered this:

5083. téreó
Strong's Concordance
téreó: to watch over, to guard
Original Word: τηρέω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: téreó
Phonetic Spelling: (tay-reh'-o)
Short Definition: I keep, guard, observe
Definition: I keep, guard, observe, watch over.

HELPS Word-studies
5083 tēréō (from tēros, "a guard") – properly, maintain (preserve); (figuratively) spiritually guard (watch), keep intact. - Strong's Greek: 5083. τηρέω (téreó) -- to watch over, to guard

Now is it possible to "keep His commandments" in that regard, according to that definition?

1 John 2:3 - By this we know that we have come to know Him, (demonstrative evidence) if we keep His commandments. 4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep (guard, watch over, observe, keep intact) His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Very interesting topic! :)

Does Easter Orthodox keep the 7th day Sabbath (Friday evening to Saturday evening) of the Ten Commandments? Or are you calling Sunday, the Sabbath?

Even when Sabbatarians set out to worship on the Sabbath, are they truly "keeping the Sabbath?" To "keep the Sabbath" as it was required in the Old Testament under the Old Covenant would involve compliance with specific regulations (Exodus 16:23; 35:3; Leviticus 23:32; Jeremiah 17:21) that were strictly enforced.

If Sabbath day observances are still required, so would the burnt offerings which went along with them (Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3; Numbers 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13). So no kindling a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath (Exodus 35:3). Every man must remain in his place (no traveling) on the sabbath (Exodus 16:29). No trading (Amos 8:5). No marketing (Nehemiah 10:31; 13:15,19).

These were commanded by God to Israel (Exodus 35:1).

If the seventh day Sabbath is still in affect, then why do not the Sabbatarians seek to obey ALL that the LORD commanded? How can a person keep a certain law when he keeps only part of it?

If the Sabbath day laws were still in effect today, then according to Exodus 31:12-18; 35:1-3; and Numbers 15:32-36, anyone who profaned the Sabbath was put to death and any person who does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from his people.

Who is going to enforce that? The Jewish synagogue? The Seventh day Adventist church? The Government? Since we do not live under a theocratic state as ancient Israel did under the Old Covenant, no Sabbatarian can live consistently under these Mosaic regulations.

The 7th day is the Sabbath in Orthodoxy, Sunday is NOT THE Sabbath.

Well there is no Temple so no sacrifices. Um sacrifices used fire on the Sabbath...
So because you can only keep one part of a Commandment you should through them all out? No enforcement necessary...we CHOOSE to keep it...the Law is written in our hearts.

Protestant terms? They are straight out of the Bible. What do you call them?

Who said anything about throwing all the Commandments out? Just because the 4th Commandment is not binding on Christians under the New Covenant (Colossians 2:16-17).
