Great passage; good to read in conjunction with Isaiah 53.From Isaiah 52
13See, my servant will act wisely;
he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
14Just as there were many who were appalled at him —
his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being
and his form marred beyond human likeness—
15so he will sprinkle many nations,
and kings will shut their mouths because of him.
For what they were not told, they will see,
and what they have not heard, they will understand.
From Isaiah 52
13See, my servant will act wisely;
he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
Good to remember also that, although the Lord Jesus' physical sufferings were immense, His moral and spiritual sufferings at the Cross - which He contemplated at Gethsemane - were far greater.Most Christians miss the part about Christ having been beaten so badly that He was marred and disfigured beyond the likeness of a man.
I am thankful to God that you are feeling better!for helping me feel better.
If you have had flu...it can take a while to go. I have been recovering for a month...admittedly old age (oops shouldn't say that) and a lung condition don't help. Today I feel so good, and getting back to normal. I do hope you can rest as it helps recovery. Rest in an afternoon, may the Lord grant you health and strength and a good night time sleep. Praying ...Yup,Im still coughing a little,and have the sniffles and a raspy voice
but I think I am on the mend.
