As a boss, I always favored the best and most productive workers, and also the least obnoxious.Love is about doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. If I were your boss, would you want me to show favoritism towards someone else in my employ? So maybe that is what you are looking for: Matt 22:39
Does God favor certain people?
Gen_39:21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
1Sa_2:26 And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.
Dan_1:9 Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.
Luk_1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
Luk_2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
Act_7:46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
The way I see those verses, though, God favours certain people in order to bring about God's purposes.
In the eschaton, when God's purposes are completely achieved, will such favour be necessary any more? Or will it rest on us all equally?
I only follow one king - Jesus Christ.Nope. Jesus is the King of kings which means there are other, lower kings which I have already proven. What you do is explain why there are kings (plural) in the eternity.
Yes, the Lord treats us all the same. We all experience the consequences of our actions.Really?
Then you administered justice, not favoritism. As a boss, I always favored the best and most productive workers, and also the least obnoxious.
We are all made in the image of God, and we are all cursed by Adam's sin. We all need a savior, and we all have the free will to accept God's forgiveness.Does the Bible support Equality for all or not?
You'd probably have a hard time selling that idea to a person maimed in an accident or born with a congenital deformity.Yes, the Lord treats us all the same. We all experience the consequences of our actions.
The Lord takes care of all of us.You'd probably have a hard time selling that idea to a person maimed in an accident or born with a congenital deformity.
Or you could have been a bad boss. Hopefully not.Depends on what I found obnoxious too, doesn't it?
Equality? define what you mean by that.Does the Bible support Equality for all or not?
