Without reading everything that leads up to it or follows, I believe this is God speaking to us. Our Father in heaven, God, is making a statement of fact. His words make perfect sense to me.
All right. I would say, rather that it YHWH speaking.

Do you understand why I say that?

Without remembering the particulars, I think maybe you believe YHWH is more than one person. Time for my nap.

You got it.

I believe that YHWH is the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Yet, in this verse YHWH is clearly one God. There is a unity of the Persons.

Now...Isaiah 43:13 (NASB)
Even from eternity I am He, and there is none who can deliver out of my hand; I act and who can reverse it?"

How do you understand this verse?

(Respond when your nap is done, and you have the time. Please don't feel rushed. This forum is always here for us to pick up the discussion at any time.)

Ok. Let's start here.
Even though God is three Persons, He is still one God and one Being. I don't use plural pronouns to refer to God, nor do I think "I am praying to them," when I pray to God.
I am not dealing with three gods; I am dealing with one God who exists in three Persons.
Does that make sense?
I guess we are now getting into a "Trinity" discussion?
Would make for an interesting topic....

the trinity christianforums - Google Search

The Trinity - Help Me Understand
The Trinity - Help Me Understand
Lots of Christians don't believe in the trinity. Usually the trinity branches will scream "Heretics!" at the others, and the others, scream "Heretics!" right back at them. I'm being a little facetious; but not really. I would say that I believe in a trinity i.e. Father, Son and Spirit; but not necessarily as painfully and detailed out by the way men attempt to define them out................................etc.

A lazy, unorthodox gunfighter and his portly, horse-thieving brother defend a Mormon settlement from a land-grabbing Major and his henchmen.

Any thoughts on this post?

Who Is Jesus?

The One who literally "rocked" the land of Israel and Judea/Jerusalem and eventually the world.
Thank you Jesus!

Ezekiel 38:19
"And in My jealously, in fire of rage of Me I speak, if not in that day, shall become a great earthquake on ground of Israel"
[Revelation 16:18]
Haggai 2:6
That thus He says, Yahweh of Hosts: 'Yet one little, she, and I am quaking/07493 ra`ash the heavens and the land, and the sea, and the dry,
[Ezekiel 38:19/Hebrews 12:26/Revelation 16:18]

Notice when Jesus entered Jerusalem in Matt 21:10 and the whole city was "shaken/moved", and the greek word used is similar to "quaking" as shown in Matt 27:51,Hebrew 12:26 and Reve 12:26. Fascinating!

Matt 21:10
And of entering Him into Jerusalem, is moved/shaken/eseisqh <4579> all the city saying `Who is this'?

Matt 27:51
and behold! the veil of the Sanctuary/naou <3485> was rent in two from top unto bottom.
And the land did quake/eseisqh <4579>, and the rocks were rent.

Hebrews 12:26
Whose voice the land shakes then, now yet He has promised saying 'still once I shall be quaking/seiw <4579 not only the Land but also the Heaven.
[Haggai 2:6]

Reve 16:18
and became lightnings and thunders and voices/sounds and a great quake/seismoV <4578> became, such-as not became since the men became upon the Land, such proportion a quake thus great. [Haggai 2:6/Ezekiel 38:19/Hebrews 12:26]

Are you being serious here, or did you post this for humor? Sorry...there is no body language on here, so I'm not sure your intention.

I guess it shows that as YHWH, Jesus has the power to cause earthquakes.

Jesus is the word who lives inside me, convicts me of sin, comforts me, and guides me.
So, do you believe like the OP, that Jesus is the Father and the Holy Spirit?

Or do you believe that there is one God, and within the unity of the one God, are three Persons (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit?)

The reason I'm asking is because it sounds like you are describing the Holy Spirit rather than Jesus....

The Lord is the spirit. How can there be 3 persons if the spirit is also the Lord?

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

That shows the deity of the Holy Spirit, yes. The Holy Spirit can rightfully be called Lord, because He is YHWH as well as both the Father and Jesus.

John 14:16 (NASB)
"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;

There are three Persons in that verse. The speaker is Jesus (I). The Father is mentioned, and Jesus will ask the Father, which means that Jesus is not the Father.

Jesus then mentions another -- neither the I or the Father -- but another -- and this is the Holy Spirit.

If God is not three Persons, how do you interpret that verse?

Taken from the Athanasian Creed (post #70 in this thread):
That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity; Neither confounding the Persons; nor dividing the Essence. For there is one Person of the Father; another of the Son; and another of the Holy Ghost. But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, is all one;

So likewise the Father is Lord; the Son Lord; and the Holy Ghost Lord. And yet not three Lords; but one Lord.

So in trinitarian theology, there is no problem with calling the Holy Spirit Lord, along with acknowledging that both Jesus and the Father are also Lord.

You don't understand what?

Sorry -- okay, so you know that the Father and Jesus are two distinct Persons.

However, you think that the Holy Spirit is Jesus?

Do I understand you right?

I suppose I should clarify that as it is simply a form of Jesus being the "Rock".
1Co 10:4
and all drank the same spiritual drink.
For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.

If Yahweh/Jesus has the power to "open up the mouth of the land", then yes, He can cause quakes.
This is also interesting:
Num 16:32
and the land opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods.
Revelation 12:16
And the Land helps the woman and the land opens it's mouth and swallows the river which casts, the dragon, out of the mouth of him

Yep -- that shows that Jesus interacted with the Israelites in the OT, and it points to Him being YHWH.

The context suggests it is referring to the Holy Spirit. Look at verse 18.

It's one of the verses that can be used to give weight to the deity of the Holy Spirit.

Its plain as the nose on our face. The Lords is the spirit.

Liberty. Praise the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:17New King James Version (NKJV)
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
