I take Haggai 1 and Haggai 2 as being a metaphor for the Bride of Messiah...yes.... but also literally as a message that precedes the physical level fulfillment of Ezekiel 40 - 48.

I believe in literal.....
plus spiritual level fulfillments of all verses in scripture.........

As well as their love for Yahshua cause it's not time for his return yet but will still tarry that many will fall away from the faith to the point where Yahshua says shall I find faith on the earth when he returns?

two witnesses are coming first.......
some sort of Elijah type of person could well precede those two witnesses......
and some sort of King David type will be raised up......
and all of this could well take place months, years.... or even a decade or more before Zechariah 14 is fully and completely fulfilled........

Could this perhaps mean that at a time when an army of two hundred million men......
marches through the Middle East to the Valley of Megiddo......
that Messiah Yeshua - Jesus will defend other cities in Israel first......
and Jerusalem last......
because if not......
the nation of Israel might be largely wiped out?????

I agree... we do have an example of Paul / Rav Shaul making an offering according to the law of Moses...... in order to take a Nazarite vow for a period of time...... probably at least for a number of months or a year.

Act 18:18

"And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow."

Act 21:23

"Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;"

and sure reminds me of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus' prediction of a time when the least Christian would be greater than John the Baptist........
the disciples were probably shocked by this idea.......


In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

My favourite school of thought.....
is that time is not limited to being one straight line but instead branches and branches and branches like the limbs of a tree........
and a time could come when the fire of G-d could so fall on Jews and Christians......
that "all flesh is as grass" is fulfilled in one third of people being burned up with fire of the Holy Spirit.... much as Mr. Todd White sure seems to be burned up........

Only YHWH knows when the fullness of the Gentiles is complete because He knows the amount needed to fulfill it. Our own walk may have a bearing on Gentiles coming in, but YHWH sets the limits of the phrase.
