Yeah, that's just another claim, isn't it? Any religious text can say that there will be people who won't believe, that doesn't mean that particular religion is correct.

It goes back to a time when people knew even less and devils and dragons roamed the earth, a time when life was short and people spent most of their lives in fear, Gods were needed to alleviate at least some of their fears.

Just another fairy story, every culture is full of such outlandish tales, people thrived on them when all they could do was tell stories to each other, the tales got more and more outlandish, I expect Methuselah started out as 80 years old then got steadily older with each telling, the stories even then were to be listened to and wondered at not believed.

Why do you keep blaming science for your religions failings?

Because science rewrites the Bible, then can't understand anything in It and demands we explain It to them.

This creates an "optical illusion" that we are the "religious failures," since we can't explain It to their satisfaction.

For example, it's easy to explain how abortion is murder, using Biblical terminology.

But science rewrites "child in the womb" to "fetus," then demands we explain how abortion is murder.

The problem is on their end, not ours.

Science says it like it is and not how some people would like it to be, if your beliefs are in conflict with science then your beliefs are wrong.
Because your belief is not backed by evidence it's called a faith with other names for faith being wishful thinking and gullibility, would you buy a car on faith? no? then why are you prepared to give money to and waste your life believing in something on faith alone? why do you think religions and especially creationism is always scratching around looking for evidence? because faith alone is not enough and sitting back and believing on faith is not an option, believers are not fools they know when something doesn't smell right, they need evidence.
