Yeah, we're accepting a view of of Hell that's been around longer than the Western view, and it has nothing to do with us having a "warped view of reality".In large part, it's millennial who can't accept what the Bible has to say about Hell. My theory is that they have a warped of view of reality because they got participation trophies for showing up and had a daily dose of "self esteem" from parents, teachers, and media. This could help one understand why Hell does not fit their worldview.
Using scripture, very clear and easy to understand scripture, Hell is both a consequence of actions and a deliberate punishment from God. Any literate adult who holds that the Bible is authoritative can see that these are not debatable points. Scripture is very clear on this. In other words, God didn't leave this to the imagination.
Millennials can't accept the idea of Hell. Remember, they all got trophies just for showing up.

Nobody really knows what hell is like. Some will find out i guess. Guess i will be there!
It still appears to be OC Jerusalem in 70AD.
Look at the correlation between between these verses. I am sure the non-Christian Jews would understand it if only they believe in Jesus and read the NT, including Revelation. IMHO
Ezekiel 38:21
Then will I call against him every terror, declareth My Lord Yahweh.
The sword of every man against his brother shall be;
[Matt 10:34/Revelation 6:4]
Mat 10:21
“Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
Reve 6:4
And came forth another horse, firey and to the one sitting on it was given to him to be taking the peace from the land and that one another they should be slaying
and was given to him a great sword.
Luke 21:24
"And they shall be falling by mouth of sword, and they shall be being led into captivity into all the Nations.
And Jerusalem shall be being trodden by nations until which may be being filled times of nations.
Reve 13:
10 If any to-captivity, into captivity is going away.
If any in sword to be killed, is binding him in sword to be killed.
Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

I would be glad to discuss that on this thread I completed on the Eschatology board:The time of the Gog war was not in 70 AD. Ezekiel 38 is way
off yet, as in clear past the time of Armageddon............
The Scripture plainly states that "we are justified by our works, and not by faith alone", but that plain statement is NEVER taken at its face value in the Protestant world because it flies in the face of Sola Fide, so it has to be "INTERPRETED" to fit within the Sola Fide box.
Only one problem: Hell doesn't save anyone from anything. If you experience it, then you will never experience anything else. The reason we spank our children is not because we are angry. In fact, it is advised never to spank out of anger. We spank our children to teach them something. Hell teaches those who experience it nothing. Were it to teach them to love God, then it would be a temporary thing. But hell is not spanking. Hell is essentially the death penalty. It has the same usefulness. The death penalty does not result in the rehabilitation of the sentenced. It results in the death. So ANNOYING!!!
1. If you sin and don't repent then Hell is a likely destination. We have never lied to Christians you can flip dance and do whatever you like after all the LORD's grace is your straight ticket to Eternal HOME.
2. After all has been said and done, "It's either you lived your life for CHRIST and if you lived for TRUTH." I may as well be donating to the whole world but if the LORD saw that I was just being a show off (hell could just be real). There's something called, "Justified by faith through Grace" because we can work morning till dusk to please GOD but it may all be futile because our HEARTs and Intent may have been seriously misplaced. Otherwise, if we have pure hearts we will be loving genuinely and all we do will be applauded by not only angels and the heavens above but man too.
3. No mother wants to spank her baby but she has to do it if that's what will save the CHILD from the cruelties of Nature. No, GOD never wants to sentence all the sinners to hell, far from it, he would rather have them all in his Kingdom. But we have to be tested first , "In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."
Some will be tested and results will vary (not all were doomed to fail) but their hearts will have to be assessed first because if the LORD is HOLY who are we to say we shouldn't. It's a pre-requisite to enter PARADISE. Not saying we can achieve it by ourselves but through his WOrd, His Holy Spirit and Faith in him.

Children get it from adults. They'll never get it from just reading the Bible. and most adults I know and have talked to about Hell make errors in their interpretations. The Bible doesn't say anything. If anyone thinks it does, set it on a stand and start at it until it makes a sound. It won't. You have to read it for yourself. And when you do, YOU are interpreting your reading through your experiences and previous teachings.
There is no way I can reconcile the Loving Father in the Prodigal story with a God that will create a firey torture pit and make it so that you will have flesh that will no burn up and that the fire won't kill you. That is a sadistic god and not a God of love, mercy, and grace.
Well of course but the Christian has a helper and God will not give one something they can't handle, if the person is a Christian than they will repent if not than they will not repent. However you said originally:Profess all you want but if you continue to sin and not repent then hell is a very likely resting place!
Scripture says:Nobody really knows what hell is like. Some will find out i guess. Guess i will be there!
God won't give us something we can't handle, but we certainly know how to grab for something we can't handle instead of what God offers. And it is not true that a person will repent because they are Christian. Repentance is not the cart. Repentance is the horse. Repentance is what makes the Christian, not the other way around. We must take the fact that we are judged by our deeds according to Romans 2 as context to what follows in the rest of Romans, because the statement about the Judgment is a statement about the ends.Well of course but the Christian has a helper and God will not give one something they can't handle, if the person is a Christian than they will repent if not than they will not repent. However you said originally:
Scripture says:
If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved.
Romans 10:9-10 GNT
It is very simple and quite easy to be saved, it’s work after that.
Whatever hell is, I think it’s pretty obvious that God puts people there.
Hell is a result of God’s commitment to make the world right.
I could go on and on with all these assumptions and presumptions. BUT suffice to say, IF you could be hooked on a rope and lowered down into hell for even 1 minute...... you would be hoisted back up and fall prone face down and beg to be forgiven for your human sins and demand to be cleansed by Christs blood and humbly plead for His mercy for your pride and arrogant attitude toward Christ and His word. Then you would shine like a beacon to others, for Christs sake.
It's not an argument. It's just reality. God made the universe. God is infinitely righteous and nothing unrighteous can exist in His presence. His purpose for all humans was fellowship with Him and worship of Him. If you harden your heart and say no to His free gift of salvation, then you will exist in a place where no righteousness exists. With all due respect, I can not imagine how this is a good argument. Believing in something because of the fear of being tortured otherwise sounds like the opposite of shining for Christ's sake. It sounds like you would be trying to save yourself from pain regardless of whose word you have to proclaim to do it. And yet, this thinking is indeed evident - some people believe in hell because they are too terrified not to. But I fail to see how doing or believing in something out of fear glorifies God.
