If a freeway has a few pot holes in it should the freeway be torn up just so the pot holes can be filled in.

Not an apt analogy, I think. The ToE is more like a theory about a murder that has several very serious problems with its facts. If it is allowed to stand as the truth, it will prevent the real facts, the real truth, from coming to light. The real murderer will get off scot-free and an innocent person will be convicted in his place. THe theory, therefore, should be abandoned for one that better fits with the facts.

If your freeway is made of marshmallows then you should probably go back to the drawing board.

You maybe more right than you think or you maybe more wrong. However I keep saying this, even if there is a god/creator of the universe how are you going to go about trying to prove it and prove it to be your god and your brand of truth. Because thats what you are trying to do right? You need more than faith to prove your beliefs because faith can be anything you want it to be.

As believers we are not not trying to prove anything. Where did you get that idea? If you need proof to believe in God then that is no faith at all.

Well, as I already pointed out, there are many sound arguments in favor of God's existence and in support of the assertion that He is the God revealed in the Bible. If you want to investigate these arguments, check out the following site:

ReasonableFaith.org – Defend Biblical Christianity, Apologetics, Bible Questions

See the website I noted above.

Selah.
I am happy to go to those websites and read what they say about any current theories and evidence of the bibles claims to creationism, but be warned if you are sending me to another one of those sites like answers in genesis then it will only serve to push me further away from the idea of god and Christians.

So your saying Christians need no proof, have no proof and even if they did they would disregard it in favour of faith?

Lol...ToE explains everything quite well. Sure it has soon missing facts. But that's nothing compared to the bible.

Don't misunderstand me. Proof is in the eye of the beholder. There is plenty of evidence of course for God's existence, and as a believer I would say based on that evidence that it's impossible for the earth to have come into existence without an intelligent creator. In my mind, that is proof right there. (Not to mention of course the personal experiences of God in my life)

You of course would seek to find a different explanation for all of creation, at all costs. You would prefer to exhaust all other possible explanations before you would even consider accepting the evidence all around you as proof.

In other words, I have my proof, but I can't prove it to you because you're too stubborn.

You really should stop using 'Lol'. It's very condescending and disrespectful.

No I wouldn't because if I did I would have not been open to the idea of god when I was a christian. You talk about faith as been of prime importance, but let's look at that logically for a minute. The universe as we know it is based on such fine mechanics that a bullets trajectory can be altered simply because of a bump on the shell. Any one or anything that would make such a fine point in creating physics this way was not working with faith. However this is the very thing christians say god wants us to have in a world that is built on laws, laws that can can be observed and understood as facts and then approached with reason and logic.

Surely, you can find a more fitting word than "mechanics." That concept has a lot of connotation loaded into it that really just isn't analogical.

I wasn't addressing you Chris, though I know you like to state your opinion. I am looking actually at what LastSeven would like to say that justifies his statement. But, since you think these verses are relevant, what makes you think that they are true?

I remember saying the same thing to other non believers when I was a christian and after you asked that question I thought, hmm what was the bible verse or verses that I had to back up that doctrine. As to explaining LastSevens comment and my old beliefs, dead in sins means your spiritually cut off from god and spiritually dead. Only the spirit of god can give someone new spiritual life to those who are dead in sin.
