The area shaded in pink is the geographical area of ancient Teman to Dedan, today's major oil- and gas fields in Saudi Arabia. According to Ezekiel 25, G-d will cause this area to be utterly deslated by HIS sword ("sword" usually implies by force of war; it also could be by natural catastophes such as earthquakes; or by Israel whom He uses as a "threshing instrument" with which to thresh the nations)5. Saudi-Arabia's wadis [streams] will be turned into pitch [tar] from the spilling out and burning petroleum, and her land into brimstone, which is sand congealed together from the extreme heat from the burning oil.

The most common constituent of sand, in inland continental settings and non-tropical coastal settings, is silica (silicon dioxide, or SiO2), usually in the form of quartz, which, because of its chemical inertness and considerable hardness, is resistant to weathering.
The most familiar form of glass is the silica-based. Most glass formulations contain about 70–72 % by weight of silicon dioxide (SiO2).
SiO2 (Silicon Dioxide) Formula SiO2 Density 2.32g/ cm3 Melting point 1713 C Evaporation temperature 1800-2200 C.
Therefore: the enormous heat generated by burning oil wells will melt the silica as well as the sulfur and, because there will be steam, the high temperatures plus the sulfur will make sulfuric acid. These sulfur products combining with the molten silica may produce this "brimstone", which actually will resemble "asphalt" by the burning petroleum..
All this area marked in pink will become burning pitch/tar. It will burn night and day with smoke going up forever, the burning not getting quenched.

So, on the map, above, Edom is in Saudi Arabia and is where the major oil reserves are. It will become burning pitch forever, and never inhabited again!

Proclamation Against Edom

12 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Because of what Edom did against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended by avenging itself on them,” 13 therefore thus says the Lord God: “I will also stretch out My hand against Edom, cut off man and beast from it, and make it desolate from Teman; Dedan shall fall by the sword. 14 I will lay My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel, that they may do in Edom according to My anger and according to My fury; and they shall know My vengeance,” says the Lord God.

ISaiah 34:

5 “For My sword shall be bathed in heaven;
Indeed it shall come down on Edom,
And on the people of My curse, for judgment.
6 The sword of the Lord is filled with blood,
It is made overflowing with fatness,
With the blood of lambs and goats,
With the fat of the kidneys of rams.
For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah,
And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
7 The wild oxen shall come down with them,
And the young bulls with the mighty bulls;
Their land shall be soaked with blood,
And their dust saturated with fatness.”

8 For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance,
The year of recompense for the cause of Zion.
9 Its streams shall be turned into pitch,
And its dust into brimstone;
Its land shall become burning pitch.
10 It shall not be quenched night or day;
Its smoke shall ascend forever.
From generation to generation it shall lie waste;
No one shall pass through it forever and ever.

11 But the pelican and the porcupine shall possess it,
Also the owl and the raven shall dwell in it.
And He shall stretch out over it
The line of confusion and the stones of emptiness.
12 They shall call its nobles to the kingdom,
But none shall be there, and all its princes shall be nothing.

13 And thorns shall come up in its palaces,
Nettles and brambles in its fortresses;
It shall be a habitation of jackals,
A courtyard for ostriches.
14 The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the jackals,
And the wild goat shall bleat to its companion;
Also the night creature shall rest there,
And find for herself a place of rest.
15 There the arrow snake shall make her nest and lay eggs
And hatch, and gather them under her shadow;
There also shall the hawks be gathered,
Every one with her mate.

16 “Search from the book of the Lord, and read:
Not one of these shall fail;
Not one shall lack her mate.
For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them.
17 He has cast the lot for them,
And His hand has divided it among them with a measuring line.
They shall possess it forever;
From generation to generation they shall dwell in it.”

The Wilderness of the Sea is Saudi Arabia.
Babylon is Saudi Arabia, and Mecca is the seat of the Harlot, where men worship a stone, and mystery Babylon is in the wilderness of the sea, where John was taken to see the Harlot.

When God stirs up Elam to nuke Saudi Arabie, then the land will be burning pitch forever, and Babylon will be fallen, forever.

Understanding these prophecies has come by way of Walid Shoebat, whom God raised up in these last days to "see" what the Word delcares, and to declare it to us...

I urge all (including u john) to do a youtube search on him and actually listen to an hour or 2 of his lectures,
and then decide for yourselves if it's the right train of thought or not

but don't just say no, to say no.

Romans, guys. You really, really need roots in Romans. You'll find a lot about the wrath of God there upon the whole world and nothing about any particular place getting pounded or vaporized. You need to move the discussion along to its logical conclusion: so if there is to be the wrath of God ('sword' just as often means some act of wrath, not just a war), then how does a person gain acceptance before that God? That is the question of Romans! You think you "know" something because you can name the # of degrees of the fire because of knowledge about oil or whatever, but you don't. Or because of the vividness of one vision about a place being desolated, but the vividness is not the point.

It is unfortunate that Shoebat used his experience in terrorism to surge to the top of the charts, but that does not qualify him in theology. That does not give a person experience in the meaty doctrines of Romans. In fact, even on one of his own films, a very important quote is made "we can be confused, even blinded, by our own immediate experience" (--H. Belloc).

There is nothing Judaic in the NT passages about the final day of the Lord that are in ordinary (non-symbolic) language; why would there be? 2 Pet 3, Rom 8, I Cor 15, Heb 9.

YHWH specifically mentions the names of the nations and cities with whom He has controversies to settle over Zion -Jerusalem/ISrael.

All those nations and cities are Islamic and surround Israel.

Isaiah 34:
For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah,
And a great slaughter in the land of Edom [Saudi Arabia]
7 The wild oxen shall come down with them,
And the young bulls with the mighty bulls;
Their land shall be soaked with blood,
And their dust saturated with fatness.”

8 For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance,
The year of recompense for the cause of Zion.
9 Its streams shall be turned into pitch,
And its dust into brimstone;
Its land shall become burning pitch.
10 It shall not be quenched night or day;
Its smoke shall ascend forever.
From generation to generation it shall lie waste;
No one shall pass through it forever and ever.

Isa 63:1Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
Isa 63:2 ¶Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
Isa 63:3 ¶I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
Isa 63:4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

Note that while the corrupt aspects of Saudi Arabia (and of other countries) are included in what Revelation's symbolic "Babylon" (Revelation chapters 17-18) represents, it represents much more than just the corrupt aspects of Saudi Arabia. For Saudi Arabia just by itself doesn't reign over the kings of the earth (Revelation 17:18). Nor is Saudi Arabia the only place where people buy merchandise (Revelation 18:11). Nor is Saudi Arabia the place where all martyrs have been killed (Revelation 18:24). Nor has Saudi Arabia just by itself corrupted the entire world (Revelation 18:3). Nor has Saudi Arabia been continuously supported by the empires of fallen man throughout history (Revelation 17:9-10). Instead, Revelation's symbolic "Babylon" represents all of mankind's corrupt political (Revelation 17:18), economic (Revelation 18:11), and religious (Revelation 18:24) systems throughout the earth (Revelation 18:3), and throughout history (Revelation 17:9-10).

The 10 kings of the Antichrist's empire will destroy with fire what Revelation's "Babylon" represents (Revelation 17:16-17) when they destroy the cities of the earth (Revelation 16:19), probably with nukes (and probably with Fission-Fusion-Fission, "FFF", or "666", nukes, "F" representing the number six in English gematria), at the time of the 7th vial (Revelation 16:17,19), which will be the final event (Revelation 16:17) of the future tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24, right before Jesus' 2nd coming (Revelation 19:2 to 20:6, Matthew 24:29-31). They could do this under the direction of Lucifer/Satan (Isaiah 14:17,12), who could want to leave only a literal "scorched earth" for Jesus to return to.

Near the very end of the future tribulation, Lucifer (employing the ancient lies of Gnosticism) could say to the Antichrist and his 10 kings something like: "Our great battle against the evil, tyrant god YHWH is about to begin [Revelation 16:14, Revelation 19:19], a battle which we will win, and so we will be able to escape YHWH's prison house, this material universe, and return to the wholly-spiritual Pleroma [i.e. Heaven]. So let us now destroy this prison cell, this foul planet, and let us, as it were, burn up all the gewgaws which we have hung upon our cell walls. Let us burn up all our great cities, all our magnificent systems. Let us break all our chains of attachment to this vile physical realm, that we might more freely ascend back to our rightful place in the Pleroma [Isaiah 14:13-14]".

Of course this will be a lie. For at his 2nd coming, Jesus (who is YHWH: John 10:30, Zechariah 14:3-4) will completely defeat the world's armies, arrayed against YHWH (Revelation 16:14, Revelation 19:19-21). And Jesus will have Lucifer bound in the bottomless pit during the subsequent 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-6, Isaiah 14:15). And Jesus will restore ruined parts of the earth and make them like the Garden of Eden (Ezekiel 36:35, Isaiah 51:3). And after the 1,000 years and subsequent events are over (Revelation 20:7-15), God will create a new heaven (a new first heaven, a new sky/atmosphere for the earth) and a new earth (a new surface for the earth) (Revelation 21:1). And then God will descend from the 3rd heaven in the literal city of New Jerusalem, to live with saved humanity on the new earth (Revelation 21:2-4).

Isaiah 34:
For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah,
And a great slaughter in the land of Edom [Saudi Arabia]

To properly understand Isaiah 34:6b, it must be read in its context (Isaiah 34:1-17).

Isaiah 34:4 refers to a future event which will affect "all nations" (Isaiah 34:2), the whole world (Isaiah 34:1).

In Isaiah 34:5, "Idumea" (Edom) isn't the ancient nation of Edom (present-day southern Jordan), but represents all the nonelect people of all times, just as Paul the apostle employs a reference to the man "Esau" (also called Edom: Genesis 25:30, Genesis 36:1) to represent all the nonelect people of all times (Romans 9:11-22). And in Isaiah 34:6, "Bozrah" isn't the ancient city of Bozrah (as is sometimes claimed), but represents the corrupt civilizations of the nonelect, just as the "Babylon" destroyed in our future in Revelation chapters 17-18 isn't the literal ancient city of Babylon (nor the present-day one, in Iraq), but represents the corrupt civilizations of the nonelect of all times.

Isaiah 34 doesn't refer to the destruction of the ancient city of Bozrah (as is sometimes claimed). For its territory is in present-day Jordan, and it's still inhabited (it could be the city of Busaira). It's not an eternally-burning land of fire and brimstone which no living person ever passes through and won't ever pass through for all eternity (Isaiah 34:9-10).

Isaiah 34 won't be fulfilled until the great white throne judgment (Revelation 20:11-15), when the present surface of the earth and its atmosphere (the first heaven) will pass away (Revelation 20:11). And all the nonelect people of all times will be judged and cast into the eternal lake of fire and brimstone (Revelation 20:15,10, Revelation 21:8, Revelation 14:10-11).

Then I'm Sorry - You are ALSO wrong.
Saudi Arabia is NOT Babylon.
Mecca means absolutely nothing as far as Revelations is concerned.
The antichrist will NOT be Islamic - and as I have told you before, I don't give a crap about the teachings of some so-called preacher, who ALSO happens to be wrong.

Since so much of Mt 24 & //s is about the 1st century, the first thing you want to do is see what kind of pattern is laid down in history. Something(s) may replicate it in the future, but first you want to see what is there.

Because of that piece of info about Mt 24 & //s, the Rev should be looked at first as speaking historically. For ex., the woman on the beast, which then turns on the woman, is 1st century Jerusalem, ie, Judaism. We know this from the similarity of the language of Mt 23 about 'all those slain' and Rev 18:20, 24. The term for the prostitute is that of a Levitical priests wife who had strayed.

From my OP, the map shows the area of Saudi Arabia that is Edom -Teman to Dedan. It is shaded in pink and is the oil producing area. It will be burning pitch and brimstone forever and never quenched and no one will be able to dwell there, from that time, forever.
That prophecy will be fulfilled.

Saudi Arabia is the very Harlot and Mecca is the seat of her harlotry.
Mecca will be nuked by Shiite Islamic forces from Iran -specifically from the area called Elam in the Bible, and which includes the area where the Bushehr Nuke site in Iran sits.
The Word of God prophecy over Elam states that the entire Elam area wil be desolate and its inhabitants scattered to the nations of the world, and they will not return until Jesus returns to reign and settle His controversies, over Zion, with the nations. YHWH will set His throne in Elam at that time -He'll rule the remnant of the nations of the world who survive His judgment of the sheep Gentiles and Goat Gentiles at His return, and those who are remnants of Elam who survive His judgment over the sheep and goat Gentiles will then return to dwell there for the millennial reign.

that is Bible prophecy, and it will all be fulfilled, and Walid opened my eyes to those prophecies.

This thread is just so off from what Isaiah is saying, I don't know where to begin.

To read this passage, and not understand that this is the day of judgement is to simply not allow the language of Isaiah to tell you what it REALLY means.

Isaiah is using prophetic language that we hear John using in Revelation 20 where John simply says Gog and Magog.

Isaiah is speaking of the day when Jesus will judge the world...and there will be no battle because as Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:13-15
13 I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate,
14 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 which He will bring about at the proper time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
16 who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.

This is just a really bad reading of the scriptures. Edom is typified in Isaiah 34 as unbelievers. This is because Esau sold his birthright to Jacob, which resulted in Esau being an unbeliever. Hebrews makes this clear in Hebrews 12:15-17:
15 See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;
16 that there be no immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal.
17 For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears.

Esau is typical of unbelievers here and in Isaiah 34!

No doubt some will carry on with the literal interpretation of this passage...but that's just not correct.
