Can christians shop at walmart?

also they sell bad video games with murder and killing in them plus they sell evil rap cds

Is it a sin to shop there? Am I giving my money to the devil if I do?

Often stores sell things we find objectionable and are offensive to us we can't isolate ourselves. What Slenderman said about the internet is a good example. I shop at Walmart and didn't even know they sold these things, I just get what I need and leave. You can do the same.

At a Walmart in the middle of nowhere Minnesota they have hitching posts in the parking lot for the horses of the Amish. It's like one of the only stores around for anybody to shop at.

I have other issues with Walmart myself- but if you had to stop shopping at places that sold objectionable things or similarly stop paying money for services to companies that support objectionable things- you'd likely wind up homeless, starving, and naked.

Those are concerns for any True Christian as we know, but I would be more concerned about the use of child labor to make most of their merchandise. The same goes for everything that is imported in from China, ruining our economy. But from a christian moral perspective, yes, you should probably not shop there.

If you can get your needs met at another place that does not have so many objectionable items (for how long on any places that will be true, only Heaven knows I guess) then go there.

You will always be in a world polluted with evil things. Look at the dollar bill. It has the all seeing eye of Horus on it and an Egyptian pyramid. Very pagan. There are masonic symbols all over the dollar bill and in masonic lodges they almost always have a Bible and a Koran. You probably know the Koran says to kill Jews and Christians.

On the other hand, WalMart is probably the merchandiser that is MOST open to changing its offerings if people complain. I like that better than the ones that don't care what the customer thinks, even though I have been disappointed at times in WalMart for giving in to demands from Leftist groups. Why don't you have a talk with management?

no im not new, been here since 2011. I just lurk a lot.

thanks for the good responses guys, even though it seems like its 50-50 on this. but I'm leaning towards the view that it's ok to shop there now.

You could always shop online, it's efficient and fairly fast now. Truly trying to find a retail store that doesn't affiliate itself with questionable processes is very difficult.

With the large selection of department stores and grocer's a person is overwhelmed; yet primarily out of luck when purity is demanded. The thing I question over and over is why we as people have such a high demand for massive varieties of things.

"How many different models of blenders, dishes, automobiles, dinnerware, utensils, hygene products, attire, etc do we need?"

Doesn't this very APPETITE provide the very basis of identification of where our love is placed or directed at?

On that criteria, you couldn't shop anywhere.

Personally, I wouldn't shop at Wal Mart because many of their fresh goods are poor value.

That's why I clarified that fresh produce is the problem - and my family eats more fresh than canned, therefore not good for me. However, the OP may not prefer fresh food.
