The Catholic Church accepts many faith walks. It is in communion with some churches. It celebrates our brothers and sisters in other Christian churches, although it is our understanding that they have an incomplete deposit of faith. We have a special respect for those religions of the Book: Jews and Muslims. We also respect other religions that seek after the Truth. We respect Hindus, Buddhist, Jains, Sikhs and others.
However there are a very few organizations that the Church has found so anti-Christian that they are singled out and warned against. Freemasonry is such an organization.
You can claim freedom of religion if you wish. That does not change anything other than give you the right to worship (in some countries). Freedom of religion does not make freemasonry acceptable to the Roman Catholic Church or acceptable for its members who wish to be in good standing in the Church.

Part of the revolutions that we were a part of had to do with religious freedoms. Freedom to choose what church we worshiped at.
Biggest reason the Vatican dislikes us. They don't want anyone with the ability to choose anything they don't approve of.
