Oh, so that's just a theory (and by that I don't mean a scientific theory but just a collection of speculative and generalized explanations).
I believe Adam wrote Genesis 1 & 2.

I especially LOVE Wolf's doubt that Moses would have been able to read a Pre-Tower-of-Babel tablet. So much for "confounding their languages", eh?
Ever heard of "interpretation of tongues"?
So can I ask why the Tablet Hypothesis appeals to you?
I believe Adam wrote Genesis 1 & 2.

I believe Adam wrote Genesis 1 & 2.

And you're free to believe that -- as well as anything else you feel a whim to add to the Bible.

(Incidentally, who do you believe wrote Genesis 3?)

Then please please tell me, if you can, who wrote this book?

Genesis 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

According to you, Moses wrote it?
(Incidentally, who do you believe wrote Genesis 3?)
Adam as well.

And here is the breakdown.

Although I don't personally subscribe to it completely, as I think Adam wrote Genesis 1-3.

In any case, the main point is that Moses didn't write it.

No one person wrote it -- it began as a series of myths passed down among generations until it various people (whose names are unfortunately lost to history) decided to put it in writing.

Happens all the time.

Nope -- according to you?

Adam as well.
How quaint.

In that much, we agree upon. Moses certainly didn't write a word of it.

Adam wrote the first part of Genesis.

I do.

Now, now, AV -- be honest. It's standard AV1611VET belief... other Christians' opinions differ.

Adam wrote the first part of Genesis.

The Bible disagrees with you.

Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

That is, unless of course, you don't read that verse literally.

Genesis is indeed considered "The First Book of Moses."

After all, he translated it into Hebrew, making redactions as necessary.

Except that is not what you said. You said Adam wrote it, and that is not Biblical.

Hey, guys, the ridicule ... using my posts as a stepping-stone ... ceases here.

Let someone else handle your fake question marks.

One guy asks [seemingly] legitimate questions, while another sits in the background and takes pot-shots.

Suit yourself.

I'm done trying to help you with your [fake] curiosity.

Ever heard of "interpretation of tongues"?

Is this a way around God's confounding the languages?

(I find the Tower of Babel story "charming" at best, theologically silly at worst, so I'm OK with however anyone wants to deal with it.)

I believe Adam wrote Genesis 1 & 2.

Any evidence of that? Why not Eve?

Hey, guys, the ridicule ... using my posts as a stepping-stone ... ceases here.

So let's get this straight: YOU get to ridicule science non-stop but if someone asks you some questions about your "theories" on the Bible you get bent?

Let someone else handle your fake question marks.

So if you aren't interested in defending your own hypotheses about the Bible then why post them in the first place???

One guy asks [seemingly] legitimate questions, while another sits in the background and takes pot-shots.

Unlike you, who basically can't talk about science without non-stop pot shots.

Bravo.

I'm done trying to help you with your [fake] curiosity.

Run away!!! It's getting uncomfortable for AV1611VET because he isn't the one heaping scorn on something here!

AV1611VET can only be happy with a conversation when he's the one mocking and ridiculing apparently.

So /thread out and be done with it -- unless you're just here for the attention.

Hi TG
Tis ok.
Phil gave me the translation on the CF Chat Box :)

15/05/2013 14:41 <AV1611VET> It means "says you" in Swahili.

.

Indeed. And the above string (that is, "translate anasema wewe") in Google would have given you the same info. Try it! :)
