I was forwarded this video by a friend and would like some WoF to way in on the issue. Brief summary is Todd Freil (the host of a TV show called Wretched on the Family Network) commenting on Pastor Dayna (the woman in the vid) as she prophesies over a man from the audience (who happens to be an assistant pastor from a church across the street from her tent). Would like your opinions on this

Here is a link to pastor Dayna's website.

Edit to add: I post this because I was told Pastor Dayna was WoF? Has anyone heard of her?

Nope never have, but I'm sure there are many fakes and many good in every denomination. With God one bad apple won't spoil the bunch, if so we would all be dead.

1 Corinthians 14:3
"But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort."
1 Thessalonians 5:20
"Despise not prophesyings."

I couldn't understand some of the audio but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that they're from two different interpretations of Scripture. I didn't look at his website but he probably believes that the spiritual gifts are not for today and definitely doesn't believe in miracles - he's not alone. Basically his comments were - you don't interpret Scripture the way I do, you are twisting Scripture, you're message is false, ETC. but I'm the one with the truth.

And I'm not knocking the message of the cross in anyway.

He knew when he went there were differences in interpretation of Scripture. I wonder what his motive was for going. He was very upset about being prophesied to and she got upset in response to his comments but it doesn't mean the prophetic word was incorrect. Some times prophetic words aren't received but that isn't the prophets' responsibility. One of the lessons learned is not to fear man. Matt 10 "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet." But since he was in her meeting place, then of course he would need to depart.

Including a few personal prophecies from the NT: Paul prophesied such as in Acts 13:9 and was prophesied to as in Acts 21. Also, he told Timothy -. I Tim 1:18 "This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare."

In regards to the host's comments, the Biblical examples of Yahweh giving a message from Him to someone else are too numerous to list.

Well I was raised Pentecostal and through the years we have attended Baptist, Catholic, Episcopal, then Word of Faith and non-denominational. From the email they were offended at a number of things that happened. Within a denomination there is a wide range of beliefs. As you've probably noticed even on these forums daily - if we don't believe exactly like another, it's usually stated - you're false or worse.

To me, it's not an either or message -Miracles or the shed blood of Yeshua. Mark 16 says to preach the gospel and lay hands on the sick for them to recover. Also, signs and wonders will follow them that believe. I Cor 12 says the working of miracles is a spiritual gift from Him.

Well this is from the CARM blog, which I greatly admire has this as an email from Scott Rodriquez

Pastor Scott Rodriguez | “Pastor” Dayna Muldoon | Pastor Dayna Ministries | The Official CARM Blog

i've read the e-mail and i think it was a good one. i think your pastor realizes that while his heart was in the right place that his actions left something to be desired.

in this life we won't always agree on the interpretation of scripture, but one thing we can agree upon is the importance of recognizing and respecting the leaders that God puts over us.

in this situation it was the duty of your senior pastor as the shepherd of his flock to be aware of what was happening across the street from his church, and to make it known to his congregation and his leaders.
That was failure number one and number two.

Additionally as a local pastor he should have made a welcome call while the tent was being set up to meet this woman as clergy to clergy, whether or not he believed in her calling. had he done so and then informed his staff of what was happening across the street, none of the rest of this would have happened.
that was failure numbers 3 and 4.

hindsight is beneficial, but only if the lesson learned is put into practice.

so if you were looking for advice as well as comments, my advice would be for the church staff to have a conference and decide in advance how they will be handling events of this nature in the foreseeable future, so that they and the congregation might not be caught unawares again.

The problem I have with the video is that Pastor Dayna was prophesying good things over Pastor Scott, and then when he said she was a false prophet she began to denounce him. As Todd Freil says, I think this automatically proves she is not of God because God has promised that what a prophet speaks, if it is of him, then it will come to pass.
“But the prophet who prophesies peace will be recognized as one truly sent by the Lord only if his prediction comes true” (Jer. 28:9).
How the people in the tent reacted says alot about the people that follow her. She just proved herself to not be a prophet from the Lord, and yet they immediately jump up to get into his face?

I don't know either of them but it seems to me she was a perfect lady towards him, her people were courteous by his own admission, she blessed him with all her materials at his own admission but he returned evil for good, based solely on the youtube video I would choose her, he disgraced himself, he had absolutely no honour at all...

i heard her rebuke him.... and rebuke the demonic spirits that took ahold of him.... but did she denounce him?

she said that he would one day come around to the truth and need a miracle himself and that he would know not to come to her. she was actually very kind but direct with him. she didn't mock him or abuse him. and it was only after he refused to leave that she started rebuking the evil spirits that were using him to be disruptive.

the prophetic word she spoke over him isn't clear enough to understand. the video was edited so can't know for sure all anyone said. friel misquoted her in his edited version so i wouldn't trust friel's take on anything. friel clearly has an agenda.

i would like to see a transcript of the exact words she prophecied. AND his exact words when he had the micophone (which are pretty easy to hear). and then her rebuke of him after.

scotts email is only his account of what supposedly happened. no way to know if he was telling the truth. if his email is true then she took advantage of his presence in her meeting. if his email is false. then he got a good word and then took advantage the situation to mistreat her. plus how do we know if that email really was from scott?

freil is being dishonest and twisting things. friel put words in her mouth. she did NOT call him a demon. she rebuked demonic influence. completely different things. but friel twisted her words several times like that. so friel is not an honest reporter. he has his own agenda. is there a way we could hear exactly what she said and scott said?

if her prophetic word comes true then she is vindicated. her rebuke of him was for his bad behavior. her rebuke of the evil spirits was when he refused to leave. very strange behavior for a man who is called humble and sensitive. whoever is being false here (her, scott, freil) GOD will deal with them.

there is quite a nasty war between different factions. just people not walking in love.

what i learned from this is that public ministers REALLY need to pray up before they minister to be prepared for any thing the devil might pull.... and pray for an extra dose of GOD'S love to cover any shocking thing someone might do publicly to you if you are a public minister.

ps. the people getting in scotts face was to remove him. she told him to leave her tent and he wouldn't. so the people were trying to get him out of the tent. which is understandable. it was her tent and he clearly made himself unwelcome.

i was personally present in a situation like this once... and by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT... the entire congregation started praising GOD loudly... and the offending speaker left the building.... because he couldn't stand in the presence of GOD....

no one rebuked the man that disturbed the service with his rebuke of the minister.... the HOLY SPIRIT just drowned him out..... i was amazed.... i was a new christian.... and i felt the power of the HOLY SPIRIT as the entire congregation of about 300 started praising GOD in tongues and english at the exact same instant.... it was a powerful sound of beautiful resounding praises to GOD.... you could feel GOD'S love fill the room and dissolve ANY evil that entered with the man's disruptive attacks on the minister....

but this congregation was in the habit of flowing with the HOLY SPIRIT at worship and service time..... so the entire church knew how to be led easily by GOD....

Here is a longer video done by a girl from the church that Scott is from, it goes into a little more detail. When I got this video I began researching it to make sure it was authentic and that I would not be spreading something that was false.

Why was he there? Why would he care what she's preaching. Why he would choose to bring conflict in her service ? If you sow discord you will reap discord. He would do well to head for the hard places the streets the cast down poor demon possesed people out there and minster to them. She was speaking victory into his life and Satan has blinded him. I don't know them but I turned it off we he started to condemned her. Maybe she was casting her pearls, when she should be casting him out.

thank you for this 15 minute version. it makes a lot of difference.

i am listening to it over and over to get a sense of what is going on. and trying to transcribe as well. that will take me a while.

so far i see for sure that hecklers were the problem previously. that scott had said he would come to the meeting to get the hecklers to stop. scott agreed on video that he promised to keep the peace. and then all of a sudden he is given the microphone and starts out peacefully but then ends up being an attacker/heckler himself. he is then asked to leave and won't.

so at this point i would have to agree with Preacher Mike's assessment that dayna was doing nothing wrong. and scott took advantage of the situation. which is what he stated in his email (if that really scotts email) that he looks like someone who grabbed the mike under false pretenses. well he did. he didn't keep his word at all. and then he wouldn't leave. very dishonorable behavior as Mike said.

the girl making the video said a few things to the friend she was with that was proof that she was opposed to the meeting. so it seems very clear that the church members were at the meeting to cause some kind of trouble. and somehow scott ended up joining in when he had promised that he was there to keep peace.

very very strange behavior by the church members. and really is a problem everywhere. it is sooo ungodly to harrass people that we disagree with. we need to get about the FATHER'S business and not be deceived into thinking that we can harrass someone else who thinks differently. i don't understand what these church people or anyone that acts like that towards another believer thinks they will accomplish.

there is more concerning this video NOT matching scotts email. and the short video on the carm blog site leaves out the wrongdoing by the church members.

and more about what dayna actually said. she never retracted her word to scott. she rebuked him for his behavior. and then when he wouldn't leave she rebuked the spirits that were causing scott to act strange/out of character/rebellious.

i will study the video more later to get all the words.

I most certainly can see Scott's point. As someone who does jail ministry, there are times when I will have to correct inmates theology because some other "pastor" has come in and told them something very incorrect. Point in case one inmate was explaining to me that a pastor told him that in order to be saved you can't eat pork, and must be circumcised.

Paul was VERY upfront with people he believed to be preaching another gospel, "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!" Galations 1:8 (NIV). So you can understand why Scott would do what he did, he felt like his words were necessary to keep the sheep he Shepards from falling into what he believes to be a false gospel.

HolySpiritWOF2 thanks so much for taking the time to dig through the details. Also, for posting how it was handled in your church.

Read about a lady who visited a church the last night of revival. She said God had told her to preach at that church for the next 2 weeks. As the pastor looked at her, an older lady said no, this is a joke that you and you friends have decided to try to pull on this church. Actually The Lord says He won't be mocked. Your soul is in trouble - let's pray for her. When they finished their prayer, she had left. I think this type of thing is going to increase - just mo.

As you said HolySpiritWOF2, "what i learned from this is that public ministers REALLY need to pray up before they minister to be prepared for any thing the devil might pull.... and pray for an extra dose of GOD'S love to cover any shocking thing someone might do publicly to you." We all need "...this congregation was in the habit of flowing with the HOLY SPIRIT at worship and service time..... so the entire church knew how to be led easily by GOD...."

Were they at Scots church or at her meeting place? That is what I am confused about. If they were at his church he would has cause to protest , due to her out of order in teaching against their belief. But I would not understand if they went out to her place she paid for and heckled her. She would not have let him speak if she knew his; intention. The only reason I could imagine to disrupt others church was if they were a physical danger to the public . There is a preacher where I live that makes my skin crawl , but I would never set foot in his church. Your opinions should be posted in written form, by that method a person has a choice to read or not. God has called us to peace.

I was not able to watch the video at length, As I had read that women were not allowed to speak or be pastors in the Church. Paul and Timothy said that. So I have to go with that. I also remember speaking to a Pastor at Calvary Chapel and he said that Jesus came to Earth as an Angel in the OT.

Jesus was never a Angel. That is false teaching , or you may have confused what he said. Christ was God on earth, there are three persons all are one God. It was God who spoke to Moses and said I am . Jesus speaking said before Abraham was I am. The third person is the Holy Spirt of God, that now after Christ ascended lives in us. Angels are beings created by God, they serve God for his purpose. Satan is a fallen angel , to say Jesus was a angel would make him a brother to Satan , this is a false teaching of the Mormons. On women we have a thread titled women, no there is nothing wrong with women preaching or being a pastor, they are as gifted and blessed just as much as men. You have to understand the context when reading the Bible. It is not the Bible in contradiction it is our lack of understanding. You do not read the Bible ,the Bible reads you.
