The OPD have actually been too restrained.

Occupy Oakland has been anything but a peaceful protest, they destroyed local businesses. They did damage to a city that is already broke and can't afford it, it is really disgusting, like kicking a sick dog. They sure didn't hurt the 1%, just local tax payers and local businesses.

Which he wasn't.
So you believe the cops were wandering the streets looking for innocent people out for a stroll?
He wanted to, he asked them where he should move.
And he didn't move, big problem

Except not, since the vet tried that solution and got a lacerated spleen for his efforts.
No, he didn't try any solution, he resisted.

That does appear to be what happened.

And he didn't move, big problem

He asked for instructions, perfectly reasonable.

No, he didn't try any solution, he resisted.

And that is just blatantly untrue. We can all read the story from multiple sources and see pretty easily that he didn't resist.

Do you always believe just one sideof the story?

He already had instructions. If he didn't follow those instructions, he resisted

Was he told to move? Yup. Did he move. Nope. That's resisting

Usually, that is called "drawing conclusions". I consider both sides, but believing both sides seems cognitively difficult.

No, he didn't.

He did try to follow the instructions, too bad the police didn't let him.

Was he told to move? Yup. Did he move. Nope. That's resisting

*tolerant smile*

No, asking for clarification is not resisting. Your logical contortions are reaching the level of comedy.

Trouble is, you seem to be drawing conclusions having only heard one side of the story, even though the perp admitted he didn't follow instructions.

It can be and in this case it appears it was

Strange assumption for you to make there.

even though the perp admitted he didn't follow instructions.

No, he didn't. He asked the cops to give him instructions that made sense. "Move!" doesn't make sense, because it is a stand alone verb. "Move back!", "Move right!", "Move left", "Move over to that fire hydrant!" make sense. "Move" by itself does not

It can be and in this case it appears it was

That your logical contortions are funny?

Really? Then tell us the other side of the story

No, he didn't. He asked the cops to give him instructions that made sense. "Move!" doesn't make sense, because it is a stand alone verb. "Move back!", "Move right!", "Move left", "Move over to that fire hydrant!" make sense. "Move" by itself does not
Move is actually pretty simple to follow. But he didn't move
That your logical contortions are funny?
Tell that to the perp who didn't follow directions

Move actually is not simple, it requires an subject to act upon. There has to be a place to move. You cannot move in a pure sense, you have to move in relationship to your environment.

I was in an airport once when I set the metal detector off with my fly. The security worker, apparently a moron, told me just to "move", and I stared at her, and made a guess as to her wishes and stepped forward.

Wrong answer: "Sir, move." I stepped back into the metal detector. At this she finally started losing it for some reason and raised her voice with a "Move!" that got other people giving her funny looks. I was out of patience with her idiocy and just stood there until she finally condescended to give me a tiny push on the chest. All of this could have been avoided if she had used her brain and appended "backwards" to her command.

Instead she wasted my time, her time, the time of other people in line, and made herself look like some low-functioning Neanderthal incapable of communicating in English before several dozen people.

Change the circumstances Aeneas... make it a Tea Party rally, and make the "perp" a Tea Partier, and watch Mach back-peddle. Partisan hackery at its finest.

Thats why I put that one on ignore.

Mach doesn't even bother to pretend he's not a partisan hack and there is a high likelihood he is just trolling.

This is just the beginning of the violence that those in power will use against the rest of us. Just wait. You'll see.

Also, to the last poster:

"internal investigation unit is reviewing the incident, but it’s unlikely the identified deputies caused Olsen’s injury"

They are still investigating with out a sure answer.

Oh, that's right! The police just arrested him for no reason. Because that's what the police do, is haul people off to secret jails, and then allow them access to the press...
Are you really that naive to think things like that don't happen? You need to really get out more.

In light of some new information, I think that it's appropriate to change the title to delete the "second."

It doesn't appear that Scott Olsen was injured by the police.
Come on, man. All I do when I go to websites like that is read the comments section and laugh at the morons who attend the site.
