Okay so today was the first day of the semester so I'll be quite scarce around here. That doesn't mean I won't be thinking of all of you and I will try to drop in more regularly.

Hope you all stay safe! God Bless!

Best wishes and enjoy your time with the academia. I always did.

I have Intermediate Algebra and Lying and Deception.

I had to laugh yesterday in class when my professor said, "Now you aren't here to learn how to be better liars and deceivers. However, there is much to be said about the idea if you are a good liar and deceiver you can more readily spot someone who is lying to you and deceiving you.

I was thinking, whoa! Do I want this class or not? Then he told us, the class helps us to understand the "white lies" and deceptions in society. Blatant lies and deception are often easily spotted.

I'm finishing up a degree in Human Communications. All facets of it. I particularly excel in non-verbal and interpersonal communications so this is a great degree for me.

I plan to go on for my certifications in Alternate Dispute Resolution.

I bet that shocked you. ;)

Sounds interesting. You'd do well in dispute resolution. UTD is an incredible Lab for it.

The Algebra and Lying and Deception course sounds good. "Casi, did you do your Algebra assignment." "Prof, It was a tough assignment." "But did you do it?" "I spent hours with that book open last night."

I remember we both shared about our daughters way back when, in the beginning of the Restaurant thread, and so I have always prayed that you and she would stay close. :)

You're kindness overwhelms me.

Thank you for your prayers on our behalf. Yes, we are very close. Though she is in a not so great relationship, I keep supporting her as she grows. One day she'll understand that she's done all she can to make up for the things she chose that hurt her and me. I've long since forgiven her, now she needs to forgive herself.

I try to point out what a beautiful, loving and kind person she is and that God loves her no matter what. I am hopeful she's beginning to see that.

It's kind of like shampooing, you know...rinse and repeat. Same thing the next day.

None of us are perfect. :)

This forum is open by request. There will be no arguing, debating, or even discussion of doctrine. No venting of anger, if you must, please use the Chill thread.

This thread is for fellowship only.

We will see how it goes
sometimes we must earnestly "contend" for the faith...Jude 1:3, forget not having to argue friend. The Berians weren't afraid to challenge. In this day and time, we gotta KNOW! muslim,buddhist, so called CHRISTIANS, we gotta argue the point at times...

Thanks.

Oh, Casi, I pray you are doing well. It wasn't anything serious that caused you to have it, was it? I had one a few years back because of benign tumors, but that is pretty common.
I'd been going through a lot of post menopausal bleeding and cysts on my ovaries. My uterus was double the normal size and pushing against my bladder. They found a ton of scar tissue from my three c-section that adhered my uterus and bladder together.

Doctor is happy and doesn't expect cancer on the pathology report but still waiting to hear.

It's this dang flu that is kicking my butt.

God bless her: She looks so peaceful in that picture: Sometimes all we want is whats good; and if the world isnt good; we try to prove to ourselves that there is no good; so that we dont feel unworthy of goodness: Its hard sometimes to realize how much our parents really love us; and situations lead us places that yoke us with people that find peace in a unified solitude: Giving their minds a reason to feel set apart; being that they are so good hearted" The enemy tries to pervert that good heart;
BUT
The blessing is in the way she was trained up: When they are old they will not depart: I think there is wisdom in this to say that the child has somewhere to run to after the realize that the world cant give us peace: doenst say the child wont stray; so we take comfort in knowing that those seeds we planted can still grow; So we keep our peace;

Even we had to go through our storms: God had to take hold of us the way it took for us; Sometimes we must keep that faith; knowing that this may be her storm; and the dept of her misery; will be return to her in peace: Because she can see how deep the world goes: Sometimes children cry out for God in their own way: They expect love to just reach down and grab them, so they test it:

Most kids test parents; but she may be testing God: SO it kind of shows how much she may love God; but when we are sensitive to pain; and the pains of others; then we sometimes wander if God really loves us. And we do to God what we do to our parents; we test them and hurt ourselves:

When people leave Jesus without all of their doubts being answered; they sometimes end up on the course that leads them to forget how they got their: The forgot to ask God to answer their questions:

And sometimes people dont get that love in life that they feel they deserve: They blame their parents for things that have nothing to do with them. And they blame themselves, and they rebel in secrete; hiding a pain that effected them. Turning to anything that will except them.
So what I pray for her is that God doesnt allow the enemy to give her a false since of peace and acceptance:

What we see as rebellion is pain: And how do you heal rebellion; by backing off; letting those that rebel have what they want;
And even though this is not the good way; we can still be this way with pain: Loving them for who they are; showing them that unconditional love from God. Loving them when they seem to hate themselves; giving time time; loving; lifting the goodness in them. Not even seeing the bad; MAYBE thats what she needs: A funnel of love that shows her who she really is: Reminding her of how lovely she is; reminding her of the good that we see in them, showing them that nothing can cover the love of God. Even i see and feel a deep compassion in her:

I would want to consider that for my child: I feel a deep deep compassion; even for animals; and sometimes a child blames God for things until they just rebel; forgetting why they blamed God. They love so deeply; that they are blinding to see God as the enemy; and yet they walk with the enemy; so its a trick of the enemy; and her soul is too precious for that: She will over come: WONT SHE LORD: YES LORD BIG SMILE: Her heart is in pain; she doesnt know how to trust that all things will be good in the end: The thought of sending even an ant to hell bothers her; BUT what a trick for the enemy to make us blame God for things, as if the devil doesnt exist; and yet we are led to serve the true enemy of our souls:
Maybe she should see that:
Its not God that hurts; and yet the one that does hurt leads men in rebellion against the only good God:
Bless her Lord; cover her; heal her heart; touch our hearts in prayer for her; let our love be divine in Your power Lord; let ;faith fall upon her; let her mind be made at peace; and let love flow Lord; THANK YOU LORD:

So as parents what can we do:
Spare not the rod:
AND CONSIDER: God never HIT david:
God troubled davids heart: davids words always spoke a power that had to remind his soul of who he was:
Being gentle and strong with her; letting the rod be your words; never getting tired of telling her the right thing; and yet spending a time not only punishing; but casting judgement aside; and just rewarding the good.
A parent will say;
THATS no way to raise a child; over look the bad and reward the good:
BUT:
Isnt this the way God drew us; by overlooking our sins; giving us joy when we put our sins aside; not judging us for things we dont see in ourselves; but rather showing us ourselvse; and showing us mercy in ourselves:
So we show them what they are doing to themselves, and yet dont judge them, and we also reward them for what they are doing good: Changing what they expect to recieve:

a child will make us feel like we are too overbearing; BUT its what they really want; they want someone to not only pull them out of the tares; but also to show them who the tares are; and why the seek to choke life so;
Explaining to her why she is rebeling may help her see herself:
And we can search Gods word and try to show her that God knows us; and He is merciful to us:
I feel for your heart; but I do trust God for her; she has a blessing; there is a door that swings both ways in Jesus; God doenst make us stay; but He sure opens they door wide for us; cutting on the porch light so that we can find our way home.
SO thats in my spirit:
Showing us whats good about her; overlooking what bothers us for a moment; as long as it doesnt hurt the child;
letting them be who they are; but being a strong rod in showing them who they could be; convicting the heart; and yet still showing no judgement to the soul for a time;

or we burst the wine skin and run them away;
So thats my input and the word in my heart through praying for her:
I would want to be open with her when I see her doing things to hurt herself, and yet showing her a love as if she just graduated ivy league: SMILE:

Overlooking the faults and seeing the need: Sometimes people need love in spite of themselves; it teaches them how to love others; and it can teach her how to trust God in spite of how she perceives God.
So we teach her a new outlook by showering her with blessings;

Sounds strange and like a shot in the dark:
But I really feel that she is aware of what she is doing wrong; but she just isnt aware of how deeply God loves His creations;
Doenst think God is fair; that can be seen and felt:
BUT: What happens when we are merciful and love in a way thats unjust to an extent:
Its not just for God to save my soul; I was a wicked sinner; why do I deserves grace"
Doesnt mean its unjust; its MERCY: ITS GODS WILL
What if I punished my child; told them to stay in their room for a week; and yet brought them ice cream; and cold fruit:
People dont do that:
We are sometimes quicker to punish then we are to reward; as if we forgot what saved us; TREAT her the way JESUS TREATS you in this sense; chastising, and yet rewarding on the spot: God doenst wait until he forgets our sins, nor does He wait for us to feel punished before He rewards us for whats good:
NO: He restores us and rewards us, and chastises us with the same mercy:
sry for talking in circles; I just think its very important to take some time to really bless her for even the smallest think thats shows that she is being mindful of God.

We may see the mask; but the heart is still there: It just needs to be stimulated: BIG LOVE

Does darkness ever set us free ?
seduction crossed eternity
stole inside
embraced the heart
and in us love died
set apart
denying then we cry for sleep
in moments of a cant so deep
as comfort's morsels
still we seek
we try
but emptied our soliloquy
we reach for hands
that drag us down
in everything
we think we own
another soul to put upon
some image of a life we won
but love is more
an opened door
and all is sure
yet few be pure
... would'st turn again?
in need to fly
leave trails of white
across the sky?
or yet in warmth of darkness
die ?

Revelation 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
