I still do not see why burning people in a fire to consume or destroy them is better than Eternal Torment. It sounds just as cruel and unforgiving as Eternal Torment.

I wasn't saying anything about which is better, death or torment. I was just relating which is biblical. What does the bible have to say about it?

One time there was a dog that had been hit by a car. All of his legs were broken and he was really messed up. He was in extreme torment and he was not going to survive. The only thing my father could do for the dog was to end his suffering by ending his life.

Either way you slice it, Eternal Torment and Eternal Death are two sides of the same coin. Sin wins, wickedness is more powerful than God.

What is biblical is God has victory over death and sin. Christ won victory for all.

Does God destroy and bring destruction Yes. Sodom , and Sodom is to be restored. (Eze 16:53). Restored to former wickedness ? No, restored to ' fortunes ' .

God intention, from the begging of the fall is to restore and transform.

Transform every creature : you , me, people we know,we are all created in the perfect image of God. All people are sinners' . And as sinners we are all covered under the covenant of Grace. Each judged by the measure of light given to them, to much is given much is expect. And to those who didn't know are judged lightly. ( Luke 12:47-48).

In order to cure and remove wickedness. He removes the ' dross ' . While Discipline can be painful, it is always for the purpose to make whole, heal and transform to righteousness. ( Is 1:25 )



He will not stop until ALL Creation is restored to its former beauty.

My Biblical Model does not allow for death , sin or rebellion to have victory.

When God carries out His justice and Judgement it would seem to me that once He carries it out its finished. For the KJV to say everlasting destruction seems to imply that something will be destroyed forever.
