Pregnant Ladies... let's chat!

I had a check up yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat. My weight has kind of been all over the place. I've stepped on the scale and been as much as 6lbs heavier than my starting weight. But, this morning, I stepped on the scale and I was only 2 /12 lbs. heavier than my starting weight. I'm gonna blame the heat/humidity and water retention.

LOL! I've never in my life complained about having a hot summer, until this year. Being 39 weeks pregnant when it's 95-100 outside, with a heat index of like 105-110 sucks! But, I'm grateful for it at the same time. This summer is so different for me, but I hate to see summers that never get hot. Hard to believe on days like this that in the winter it can be -15, lol!


Soo.... I have another ultrasound and appointment today! I had an u/s on Monday, she weighed in at approx 8lbs9oz, but it's so hard to get a good measurement because the tech can't get a good measurement of her head because of her position. I think that this u/s is to check my fluid levels again, they are dropping, but that's normal at this point. At my last internal I was 4cm, hoping to be 5 or higher today! For convenience sake, we're hoping to get into the hospital tomorrow for induction. Hopefully this means that they can just break my water and see what happens from there, maybe no pitocin! But, that's all stuff we should (hopefully) figure out today.

I've been having trouble with sugary stuff making my nausea worse, which is really a blessing in disguise since I'm not supposed to be having it anyway. My sweet tooth is rebelling, though.

Still haven't told many people in the outside world about my pregnancy - just both mine and hubby's parents, his brother's family, and a couple of ladies at church who had been praying. Really, really want to tell my sister but she's trying to conceive too so I'm worried it might upset her, but I also don't want her to be the last to know. She could be pregnant herself this month given what she has told me about her temperatures. I'm really hoping that she is as it would be lovely to share the time together. She should know in the next few days. I'm really praying she is pregnant!

Praying in agreement with you! Congrats on your pregnancy. My sister and I were pregnant at the same time twice...and my SIL and I have been pregnant at the same time twice now, too. It is neat to share that with a family member, especially a sister if you are close.

Yup! I feel like I'm a ticking time bomb waiting to go off.
Good news is my swab test came back negative, so that's nice!
BUT! It turns out I may have a UTI, and have been put on meds for it.
Boo!
My pregnancy has been so wonderful, except for the case of shingles, I was on easy street, and now in the home-stretch, I get a UTI. Bleh.
At least I'm not in any discomfort, I was actually surprised when they told me; the silver lining I suppose.

Ugh, how annoying to deal with that just days before LO's arrival. Hopefully it's all cleared up before delivery.

I promise to post her story soon, we are just enjoying our time with our sweet baby girl. Finally being discharged tomorrow morning after being admitted Thursday afternoon.
