Thanks all for your responses about my sister. She seems a bit happier in general now. She's got a lot on her mind at the moment as they are moving to a new place and she's about to start performing a one-woman show in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival which is a first for her. I'm hoping that her little miracle will happen once her show is over and they have moved to a new place.

Sorry for the delayed response - I've been fighting off a nasty tummy bug for the last few days. Am so relieved it wasn't just the pregnancy making me feel that ill - I thought it was until the diarrhoea started! Now just back to regular nausea and a bit of a fever left over from the bug.

I admit its a weird feeling hearing about weight gain since i gained about 9lb all up and have lost double that already... Jesiah is doing well and is in a cot now. he's 4lb (amd 7/10ths whatever that is in oz!) now at 29 days old... im kinda hoping that he'll be able to come home in another 4 weeks.

I'm glad that your little boy will be at home with you soon.

So to add to the joy of my UTI, I now also have a yeast infection. (My own fault, I should have been taking probiotics, but in my defense, I've never even had a yeast infection before, even as a result of antibiotics, and the Dr. never told me stock up on probiotics)
Yep - so now I'm tired, heavy, have bathroom issues AND itchy! The belly is hardly helping in "treating" the matter too...

Bah - I'm a grump this morning... :(

Ugh, so sorry.

Side note, you should always take probiotics when on an antibiotic. You're killing off all sorts of good and bad bacteria in your body, and probiotics begin to replace some of the good bacteria.
My "health care provider" says to take them for at least two weeks after you finish the antibiotics as well (as well as during, of course).
Eat some yogurt too. :)

I've been eating yogurt, and my cream seems to be working! Much less itch, I just feel so "ready" y'know?
I'm getting annoyed at myself that I'm not having contractions. I wish I could boss my body around, but I think I just need to wait now. (...why does that seem like torture to me?!?)

Does anyone else have issues with their hips hurting? Mine get all achey and cramp up at night, making it hard to sleep solidly. I end up out on the couch in the wee hours of the morning so I can stretch my legs out.

Go to a chiropractor.

I can't explain the wonders it has done for me.
I went for the first time and he asked me what was bothering me that caused me to come. I responded, "I'm 6 weeks pregnant with my second baby, and all I know is I don't want to feel like I did last time."

My sciatica doesn't bother me. My back doesn't bother me. My hips.... nothing. And I will continue to go every single time I'm pregnant in my future.
Seriously. recommend. it.

Yeah - I was actually JUST talking with some co-workers about chiro care this morning. lol My lower back adjusts on a regular basis - usually it's a small pop, but since getting pregnant this time, the pops are really loud. Thankfully, they aren't painful...but I really shouldn't ignore it. :sorry:

I loved chiro when I was getting it after a car accident.

I went to the chiro for my last pregnancy b/c my middle of my back hurt so bad I felt like I had major heart burn in my back. It totally helped! I thought about going this time b/c I have had lower back issues this time. It's a little harder to make extra appt. with 3 lil ones. So I flipped my mattress over and have had no problems since. We have groves in it after 5 years of using it. Our mattress is only got one side with padding the other side is just hard. But it works awesome. Have some foam on there and sleep like I wasn't pregnant again!!

Gorgeous picture Kelly, she's adorable!!

So I forget if I mentioned this here or not, but I have a Dr. appt on Thursday, I'm due Saturday - and am going to ask for a "stretch and sweep" or "membrane sweep" depending on your terminology. :)

Has anyone else had any success with this? I'm really hoping it gets the ball rolling int labour.

Peace,
- Niffer

When my doctor did a membrane sweep it gave me 3-4hours of pretty consistent contractions about 6 minutes apart. I didn't go to the hospital because they didn't hurt, lol. But it definitely hot things going a bit and helped to dilate me from 4 to almost 7 in 3 days time. Have you had any internals yet to see if you've made any progress?
