I actually did once suck Coca-Cola through a straw into my nose. I was four years old at the time; just wanted to know what it felt like, I suppose.

Every time I try get rid of stuff/de-clutter my house my mom shows up with stuff from their house that she wants me to have.

My mother does that. Cleans out her storage and gives her children and grandchildren the stuff she doesn't want anymore. Mostly at holidays and birthdays, so she can call them "gifts" and make you feel like cheese if you don't gladly accept and keep the junk.

(And also, I suspect, so she doesn't have to spend money purchasing something new.)

My aunt does that. And she has no illusions that the stuff she is giving isn't pure junk!

My uncle does it and will "wrap" it for a person in used Christmas wrap or a paper grocery bag.
