CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Combine with the melting snow that is creating fog, makes for lots of fun. Though I much rather shovel rain than snow!!

Rained like the dickens yesterday. Snowed a bit last night too. Odd weather, really! I do wish it had snowed as much as it had rained though...

Darling Nana is gone. She passed this morning at about nine am. Today I feel old and alone...
Darling Nana: 02-14-96 to 03-22-10
The Lord was gracious and kind enough to allow me a number of years more than usual with this breed of dog. She was faithful, a gentle soul, obediant and loving. Truely, the best friend I've ever had, as well as the best dog.
I'm taking her to Anderson to be cremated tomorrow. Can't afford it, but what the hey?
Rest in peace, Sweetie.

It's the changes that hurt the most. I get up and she's not there at my feet wanting out for the morning constitution. There's one less egg to fry, no one begging for the crusts off my bread...
There are two things I have that comfort me; first, she lived a lot longer than is normal for her breed. Almost twice as long. So, I am very blessed to have had quite a few extra years.
Secondly, the Lord answered my prayer and she went very quietly and still in relatively good health. No long decline, no suffering. So, though I'm blessed, I'm still alone. Yet not completely alone as my friends here and on these forums have been very helpful.
Thank you so much.
My roomate asked me to put his Land Rover on ebay for him and there's been quite a bit of interest. I went out today to start the thing up, and it took me quite a while to figure it out. But, the old War Horse started up and spread her usual mosquito killing cloud all round. Yuk!
I'll stick with my Studebakers. Give me a gas over diesel engine any day!
