Great! Here's your chance to prove me wrong and explain something. Outline the Boolean logic that you use to arrive at your conclusions. I'll even temporarily concede that your KJV and your interpretation is absolutely correct. Embedded age, water on neptune, angels living in stars, the Ark being built in Jersey; all of it. Now, please explain the logic behind those things and how it rules out the other things mentioned.

On second thought -- don't.

AV already has plenty of his own threads dedicated to spreading the gospel of AV -- must we take the bait and let him take this one as well?

You realize that the heresy of Subordinationism was anathematized in the 2nd Council of Constantinople, or the 5th Ecumenical Council, right?
The 2nd Council of Constantinople, or the 5th Ecumenical Council can take a hike.

I'm an independent.

(I know, "What's an independent?")
Sorry. But the Holy Spirit and the Son aren't somehow less authoritative or capable of miracles then God the Father.
I never said they were.

Subordination teaches that they are "subordinate" One to Another:

  • In the OT, God the Father was the active One, with the Son and the Spirit in cameo.
  • In the beginning of the NT, God the Son was the active One, with the Father and the Spirit in cameo.
  • In the Church Age (today), God the Spirit is the active One, with the Father and the Son in cameo.
  • In the next dispensation (Kingdom), the Son will be the active One again.

And that is PART of the reason they ignore Jesus Christ, though He is proven to have actually been a person and folks saw him many days AFTER he was crucified and so the same type of person put gold in the empty tomb in order to hide the truth.

This is, of course, refuted by the fact that a large number of us are Christians.

Same thing going on here. God is all around them, but they prefer to hide their heads in the dirt looking for bones.

Your challenges, QVs, and repititions are devoid of any explanatory power. And asking us to answer your questions is not how one explains things. It can lead to you giving an explanation, but is not an explanation on its own.
Then scratch your head for the rest of your life --- that's your prerogative.

We understand it; we disagree that its scientific.
Um ... so do I.

There's not one bit of science in Genesis 1 --- not one.

Even the 1st Law of Thermodynamics isn't there.

Not to mention going all the way to Mars and the moon to find water.

As I heard on the radio once, these guys are so desperate to get God off their backs, they'll (literally) leave no stone unturned (on this planet or another) to find a way to discredit Him.

Some resort to drugs and alcohol for relief --- others to science for relief.

They don't know this, but they are living proof of the convicting power of the Holy Spirit.

They think they are being wise --- but I see them actually in a struggle, begging this "Thing" they can't explain to get off their backs.

Does that include the Christians, AV, that don't agree with you on this one? All the Christians working in NASA, in science labs?

This is highly rich coming from someone who will literally say anything he can think of at any opportunity to make scientists look bad, including those who are his brothers in Christ, and then will about-face and claim they are a gift from God.

This is the intellectual equivalent of beating your wife and then claiming you love her - and here you're projecting so hard you could point yourself at the wall and give Powerpoint presentations.

Or not.

We're not "desperate to get God off" our backs.

It's our curiosity and desire to learn things that make us "resort... to science". Science provides real answers, not ancient, bronze age fairy tales. Science provides better, healthier, safer, easier, more productive lives for everyone. And the best thing? Their success and advancement is measurable! The fact that God isn't required, or revealed to be a part of it, although promising, has absolutely nothing to do with it.

As for the alcohol and drugs, when I drink (Or anything else), again, God has nothing to do with why.

How arrogant to assume that two aspects of people's lives that have absolutely nothing to do with God are in fact the reason they're part of people's lives, when 90% of the time, they couldn't care less.

Oh charming. You are your own infallible Pope.

Of course, the vast majority of Churches, even Protestants hold the Church Councils to be sound theologically, so you'll forgive me if I refuse to allow you to simply dismiss them and start presenting an anathematized heresy as mainstream theology.

(I know, "What's an independent?")I never said they were.

  • In the next dispensation (Kingdom), the Son will be the active One again.

.....Oh look! Modalism, a belief first articulated by Noetus of Smyrna! (circa 190 AD), also known as "Sabellianism" and was anathematized by the Fifth Ecumenical Council

The holy Fathers assembled in Constantinople have decided not to set aside the faith of the three hundred and eighteen Fathers who met in Nicaea, Bithynia, but to let it remain sovereign, and that every heresy be anathematized, and especially and specifically that of the Eunomians, including that of the Eudoxians, and that of the Semi-Arians, including that of the Pneumatomachs, and that of the Sabellians, and that of the Marcellians, and that of the Photinians, and that of the Apollinarians.

Sorry. But no.

Very interesting.

I cannot cite that much authority ("I heard on the radio once"), but my vast experience and wisdom allow me to make a comparative statement.

Creationists are the living proof of the convicting power of Science!

They just cannot escape from it, no matter how hard they try or how they deny it. Even the most stubborn creationist tries to backup or reconcile his ideas with "science". Even the ones who say that science does nothing to explain their views, try to sell their own views as "scientific".

And lo! Even when they battle against science, what do they do?

"...if you look closer you will find that it is supported by scientist!"

They bow to the authority of scientists!

"In conclusion, evolution is not observable, repeatable, or refutable and thus does not qualify as either a scientific fact or theory" by Dr. Menton who received his Ph.D. in Biology from Brown University. He has been involved in biomedical research and education for over 30 years.

Is Evolution a Theory, a Fact, or a Law?

It really looks like evolution is not so factual like some might think!
