CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Guys are dumb, sometimes. Actually, most of the time. Maybe "dumb" isn't the right word... em... dense. Yes. Guys are dense most of the time. They think differently than we do [and in a way, I thank God for that...cause a world full of women-thinkers...I'm moving to the next galaxy, thank you.] and respond differently that we do.

You remind me of a certain gal whom I got to know via a long distance relationship. After months of planning, I traveled halfway across the country to meet her in person.
During our first meal together, she suddenly surprises me by saying "You know, I've been watching that catholic channel and I'm thinking about becoming a nun." :o
I've always been amazed at how many gals say they want to be missionaries or work in some other religious environment, and then the moment they meet someone they like, that plan goes out the window. Then the guy breaks up with them, and it's back to the missionary talk. Some gals have gone through 3 or 4 cycles of that. So now I understand that when a gal decides to be a missionary or go to "bridal college", she is probably just passing time.... and trying to bribe God into meeting Mr. Right.
I didn't go to a Bible college to get married! The whole "ring by spring" thing probably won't work for me and I'm fine with that. I came here to learn about Jesus! He's the only man I need
