If you really, truly believe Zeus, Thor, etc. are just as valid as God, then let's see your faith in them.
But the fact that these characters have no following today, have no documentation today, and are confined to Hollywood today, speaks volumes.
You don't realize it, but atheists and scientists here take God very seriously --- look around.
If I was an apologist for Santa Claus, they'd be LOLing in cyberspace and not giving me a second glance.
But the fact that these guys are investing so much time, effort, and emotion here trying to invalidate the claims of God's Documentation speaks volumes for God's validity.
Do hunting dogs (or their owners) go after plastic rabbits?

it's not about what i believe it's about the flaw in your reasoning. you flash this great uncertainty before our faces and then suggest that angels are a reasonable belief since we dont know enough about the universe to rule them out. that is not a reason to believe in something. science rules out very little actually. the most science can say about most supernatural issues is it violates laws of physics or has no empirical basis.
prevelance of belief has no bearing on whether or not it's true. the earth is round even if everyone believes it to be flat and has believed so for 100,000 years. a much larger percentage of the world's population doesnt accept jesus as their savior than does. what about that documentation?

Christianity claims that God is not only real, but also taking a personal interest and interacting with mankind on a regular level. If we can't find any sign of his existence or any trace of his supposed visits right here on Earth, there really is no reason to hold judgment until we have scoured every cubic centimeter of this universe, at least not when it comes to the very specific claims of your religion.
If we really find God hiding somewhere in outer space waiting for the first human to show up, Christianity is right in claiming that God exists, but wrong on everything else - i.e. God wants us to know him, God wants us to be saved, God is taking care of us etc.
I don't think you would want to be right on that argument.

It's more of a GOOD POINT thread that I use to QV people to when they need to be reminded that they aren't half as knowledgeable about what isn't in this universe as they think they are.

Sounds about right to me.
Zombie infestation = reinstatement of a entire forum.
Although some people miss the General Apologetics board, I'm sure our Lord wouldn't want a zombie plague on our hands.
