  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

But those can't be birds, right? Triassic is too old.

Here's what they say in brief.

Whatever the ichnotaxonomic affinities of these footprints, their producers are unknown from Late Triassic skeletal remains. In particular, the Late Triassic theropodan record is sparse27 and no theropod shows evidence of an avian-like reversed hallux7. Consequently, these bird-like footprints can only be attributed to an unknown group of theropods showing some avian characters.

Extensive dinosaur tracks in Cretaceous rocks, Spain.

Again the physical evidence proves beyond doubt that these rocks were not biblical flood deposits and that YECs paradigms are WRONG.

Cretaceous Spain contained dry land.

These are terrestrial animal foot prints in Jurassic aged rock and very interesting they are too; from Utah.

Thus proving geology correct and YECs flood geology wrong.

You cannot have terrestrial foot prints in the flood deposits, the world was according to YECs covered by water when these sediments were laid down, quite clearly this is not the case.

Science once again triumphs over creationism.

Another thing that creationists have tried that interests me is their claims of human foot prints in the Mesozoic, not that there is any evidence, just some trickery.

This is the thing; if human footprint were to be found in the Mesozoic, it would indeed throw conventional geology, biology etc on its head, but it would also through creationism on its head, I can see you asking why.

Well it’s simple.

According to creationists all the Mesozoic sediments are biblical flood deposits and so cannot have human or other foot prints in them.

I have shown there to be extinct animal foot prints in Mesozoic rocks, so that proves the creationist flood wrong.

If creationist ever find genuine human remains or foot prints in Mesozoic rocks they do not just prove evolution wrong but also creationism wrong.

That’s why there is no such thing as creation science.

Creationists view of the world during the Mesozoic.

NoahsArkHumor.jpg

But this is impossible, because the Mesozoic sediments world wide are full of terrestrial trace fossils like these.

The evidence once again totally destroys YECs nonsense

Below is another dinosaur nest complete with eggs, quite clearly these eggs were laid on dry land; land that according to creationists is biblical flood deposits, but that of course is impossible due to the fact that it has a dinosaur nest in it.

LINK

B-Dinoeggs2.jpg

This dinosaur nest shows a spiraled arrangement of the eggs, which were probably oriented in the nest by the mother dinosaur after they were laid. Specimen is in the Fruita Paleontogical Museum, Fruita, Colorado, USA.

Again creationism and the global flood is completely and utterly destroyed by evidence.

You insult God when you dismiss his creation, AV. He has created such an amazing world for you to live in; which is greater, words or actions? God has given us a beautiful planet with a plethora of amazing things, all explainable by science. God did so well, he doesn't even need to be in the picture in his creation; he made it so well that it can run completely on its own.

You disregard God and insult him when you disregard his creation, even when it is directly under your nose.

Be more respectful.

The evidence just keep mounting, the following dinosaur tracks in Utah prove beyond doubt that these sediments are not biblical flood deposits and that such an event never happened.

Scientists took to the skies Friday near southern Utah's Coral Pink Sand Dunes to map tens of thousands of dinosaur tracks on the ground.

Nice try, but I've tried this argument before and he just avoids it.

Looks like the Cretaceous of Australia was also dry land

The tracks are especially significant for showing that large dinosaurs were living in a polar environment during the Cretaceous Period, when Australia was still joined to Antarctica and close to the South Pole.

Only the indoctrinated creationists could believe in Noah’s flood one all the evidence has been looked at, the trouble is creationists do not look at the evidence.

Below are a coupe of images from the Red Deer River, Alberta, Canada. The uppermost image shows a section through the upper Cretaceous to the Lower Tertiary, i.e. the creationist upper limit of the biblical flood deposits. The image shows numerous palaeosols (fossil soils) which only form in terrestrial environments, thus again positive evidence that the creationist magical mystical global flood never occurred.

The second image is again of the Red Deer River, this time showing just Cretaceous deposits, which have numerous viable coal seams made up of terrestrial flora, again excellent evidence that these deposits are not creationist magical mystical biblical global flood deposits.

s-bridge.jpg

This swinging bridge crosses the Red Deer river. Until the 1950's, Drumheller was a coal mining centre. At one time, 32 mines were operating in the valley. This bridge is similar to the one which miners used to walk across on their way to work in a mine.

Bump! Thanks for all the work Chordates; you're a great resource!

Here's some more, and it's a plesure.

Carboniferous sediments defiantly not flood deposits

Earliest evidence for reptiles

Newly discovered fossilised footprints provide the earliest evidence yet for the evolution of reptiles – a major event in the history of life. They are 315 million years old, making reptiles up to 3 million years older than previously thought.

The footprints were discovered by Dr Howard Falcon-Lang from the University of Bristol in sea cliffs, New Brunswick, Canada. The results of his study, undertaken with UK and Canadian colleagues, are published today in the Journal of the Geological Society of London.

Until now, the oldest reptile fossils were skeletons found in 1859 by William Dawson in Nova Scotia, and named Hylonomus lyelli after the nineteenth century geologist, Sir Charles Lyell.

Falcon-Lang said, “The new fossils were found in the same general region but at a level in the rock strata almost a kilometer below Dawson’s discovery. Consequently we can be confident the footprints are older than the skeletons. They were preserved when reptiles walked across the muddy bottom of a dry riverbed.

Creationists claim that the Carboniferous strata is all biblical flood deposits, this quite clearly is not true as the above evidence shows.

To believe in creationism is to close one’s mind to the real story of evolution.

Again creationism fails. Dinosaur track and lung fish burrows in the creationist magic mystical biblical flood deposits

Prehistoric footprints over 1-foot wide and 8-inches deep suggest that enormous sauropod dinosaurs once trampled Denmark, according to a new study that describes the first known Danish Mesozoic dinosaur tracks, which date to 144 million years ago.
The study, which has been accepted for publication in the journal Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology, also documents the first lungfish burrows for that location and era, as well as possible tracks for small carnivorous dinosaurs.
