  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dinosaur footprints destroy flood geology.

A theologist will tell you that the book of Job is older than the book of Genesis. -- thus, the whole dino time-line isn't true.

AV >> did you know that there wasn't enough room for two of every dinosaur on the ark, as well as room for two of every other animal? An ultrasaur(Brachiasaur, the largest animal ever to walk our earth) would sink the Ark if he stepped in it; two would capsize the boat in seconds, if the schematics given in the Bible are indeed correct and an accurate reflection of the Ark's size.

Explain AV >> how Noah fit two of eVERY animal, and two of every dinosaur without sinking the ship?

Please, don't even answer.

How about all the necessary food for all the dinosaurs and all of the waste product? I would imagine that a T-Rex would eat a lot of live animals, not to mention all of the other meat eating dinosaurs.

Insects - over 500,000 insects. That's a lot of bugs to feed and keep from jumping overboard.

Some insects are so small you need a microscope to see them...how on earth would Noah have kept track of them or even have found them on the ark or even have gotten them onto the ark?

Certainly, some insects and animals may only live in certain environments, such as under the earth....how did Noah manage to keep those animals and insects alive?

What about insects that spread infestation? How did Noah prevent that, there were no booster shots back then.

Every animal, dinosaur, insect and bird on the planet in one boat....it would be a floating biological hazard and an impossibility because dinosaurs lived about 100 million years ago!

Technically he's right.

Job, whom some equate with Jobab of Genesis 10, lived before Moses edited the book of Genesis.

Also, the flood also fits uniformly with the Mesopotamian legend of Gilgamesh.

So, no, dinos were not on the ark; and they were not around with people. We've had this discussion; even most theologists will agree that the behemoth is most likely an elephant.

The thing is, most theologists aren't Bible literalists, which is why they have found out so much; by pushing their personal faith and prejudices aside in the persuit of knowledge.

The boat would've tipped and sank if the dinos were on it

Regional flood; dinos wouldnt have fit; heck, there wasnt enough room for every nonextinct animal either.

The thing is, when someone says evolution, and old-earth theology are wrong and a lie, that person is lying, because all of those things are indeed true.

Who said dinosaurs as we know them today were on the Ark? I certainly don't believe T. Rex was aboard; and one of my pet theories is that the Satyr was a dinosaur kind. Your uniformitarianism is showing.

Yes --- and what's a Fawn?

Sorry Fauns , I'm just wonder if we're really talking about the same thing when you say Satyrs ( Half Human / Half Beast (Normally Goats))

How does an human like creature with goat hooves turn into a dinosaur "kind."?? Your weirdness is showing.

Were birds on the Ark?

Now AVET defaults do his favorite game. Distract from the fact he believes in satyrs, unicorns and talking snake-dragon-beasts by playing semantics. And we are the ones he claims are being fooled by Satan!

No --- don't make the mistake of interpreting these Satyrs the same way Hallmark interprets cherubs. That is ---

Then how do you describe a Satyer, and what do you use as its full definition ?

Second time --- were birds on the Ark?
According to John Woodmorappe's hilarious book "Noah's Ark a Feasibility Study" there were 4,602 modern and extinct birds and 668 dinosaurs among the 16,000 or so critters he claims were on the ark. Of course that many birds would have produced enough amonia from their droppings to have asphixiated everyone on board, but that's another story. BTW do you think your semantic game is actually accomplishing anything here?

I describe a Satyr as:
A) A pet theory of mine.
B) Some kind of proto-dinosaur.
