No, I KNOW without any doubt.

I know I am not wrong because my belief in my Lord is secure.

But you still don't know that your belief in god is absolutely right, regardless of how secure you are in the belief.

You may have absolute belief (and strong belief, obviously), but you do not have absolute knowledge that god even exists, and therefore you cannot have absolute knowledge of what, if any, eternity you will experience.

You aren't getting it. I do have that absolute proof. It's the Bible, which is His Word.

I have absolute proof that God is I AM because He gave us His Word. There is no doubt about that.

If the Bible were absolute proof of anything, it would not be rejected by two-thirds of the people in the world.

how is the Bible "proof of God"?

Its a book, and its proof that books exist, and taht authors exist... even proof that books about God exist... but please explain how the existance of the Bible is proof of God?

Anticipated response: Prophecies.

Of course, even if the prophetic nature of the Bible were wholly correct and were actually prophetic (as opposed to vague or inevitable or self-fulfilling or self-confirmed), that'd still only be proof of prophets, not God.

How can I be lying to myself? The Bible is very clear that who so ever believes in the Son will have eternal life. I believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior by the Bibical and Godly promise I will be in Heaven with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Bible isn't all that clear about who, exactly, shall be saved. One interpretation is that only Christians will be saved...another is that only certain Christians will be saved...or that only certain people will be saved (and by their fruits, you will know them), or that all people will be saved in the end (for god so loved the world...)

[bible]1 Timothy 2:3-4[/bible]
[bible]2 Peter 3:9[/bible]
[bible]Matthew 12:37[/bible]
[bible]John 5:29[/bible]
[bible]Romans 3:28[/bible]
[bible]James 2:17[/bible]
[bible]Matthew 7:21[/bible]
[bible]John 3:16[/bible]
[bible]Titus 3:5[/bible]
[bible]Matthew 18:3[/bible]
[bible]Acts 2:21[/bible]
[bible]Romans 10:9[/bible]
[bible]1 Timothy 2:14-15[/bible]
[bible]1 John 4:7[/bible]
[bible]Matthew 10:22[/bible]

There are a plethora of different interpretations within Christianity, and the source of these different interpretations is the lack of a concrete explanation of who is to be saved and who isn't. The verses above lead different people to different conclusions.

Here an interpretation of salvation from within the Bible that I like.

[bible]Luke 18:18-24[/bible]

A man walks up to Jesus and asks for salvation. Jesus tells him to give up everything he holds dear -- to sacrifice of himself for the greater good. To not care whether or not he is saved, but to care for others instead...

I am myself...and if I end up in Hell for being myself, then that is where I belong. I don't worry about where I'll end up when I die...I simply do what I can do to make life a little better for the people around me. I request nothing in return -- not even an eternal reward.

So do I.

That one obviously doesn't apply to me.

Neither do I. Not generally.

Neither do I.

Neither do I.

Neither do I.

Neither do I, and so do I.

So how exactly am I a moral anarchist? How exactly am I embracing destruction? What sins am I justifying? How am I denying society's rules when I follow the law of the land? I treat others well, I commit no crimes, and I love my family, friends, and country. I live a good life. How can you call that destructive?

It is self-destructive because you deny Jesus Christ and rather choose to be judged by the Law. No one can stand that Judgment, because God says that when we break just one law, we are guilty of breaking all of them. No one will survive being judged by the Law...and that is the option you are choosing so far.

Choose life, by accepting Jesus Christ instead.

God says that when we break just one law, we are gulity of breaking all of them.

I thought god was supposed to be just. Where's the justice in the above?

Choose life, by accepting Jesus Christ instead.

I've already chosen life. I didn't need JC to convince me to do so.

God looks at the entire Law as one. We are inapable of keeping it, because we are sinful, and in need of a Saviour...He provided one.

Life can only be found in Jesus Christ. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

And yet here I am, alive and living (and loving) life. Ol' JC is neither necessary nor sufficient for that.

Yes, you are right!

Jesus Christ an all He can bring to a life here on earth is not always necessary for temporal happiness. There are many people who live good lives here without ever knowing Jesus.

However, that is as good as it gets. All the wonderful experiences and possessions of this life will end at death. There is no reward, for you would have had your reward already. Nothing awaits you but punishment when you choose to not avail yourself of eternal life now.

Enjoy it now while you may.

Nothing awaits me, period. I'm fine with that. Your scare tactics aren't effective.

Enjoy it now while you may.

Ditto to you. Don't waste your life on wishful thinking.

That's fine with me. You may just be one of the many who will not come. You can never say that you didn't know or that no one told you about Jesus. My conscience is clear.
