CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I so appreciate when God does this, opened my devotional this morning and thought I'd share with ya'll
“Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me”
Matthew 11:29
“Whom the Lord loveth, He chasteneth.” How petty our complaining is! Our Lord begins to bring us into the place where we can have communion with Him, and we groan and say---“O Lord, let me be like other people!” Jesus is asking us to take one end of the yoke---“My yoke is easy, get alongside Me and we will pull together.” Are you identified with the Lord Jesus like that? If so, you will thank God for the pressure of His hand.
“To them that have no might He increaseth strength.” God comes and takes us out of our sentimentality, and our complaining turns into a paean of praise. The only way to know the strength of God is to take the yoke of Jesus upon us and learn of Him.
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Where do the saints get their joy from? If we did not know some saints, we would say---“Oh, he, or she, has nothing to bear.” Lift the veil. The fact that the peace and the light and the joy of God are there is proof that the burden is there too. The burden God places squeezes the grapes and out comes the wine; most of us see the wine only. No power on earth or in hell can conquer the Spirit of God in a human spirit, it is an inner unconquerableness.
If you have the whine in you, kick it out ruthlessly. It is a positive crime to be weak in God’s strength.

Hope u are all well and having a blessed Sunday with the Lord.
Ok I have a praise report for a change!
My Mam came home from hospital today and is feeling ok just tired and has a bit of a cold at the mo so please keep up the prayers that she will get her strength and full healing and that she will get to stay out of hospital!
Also My little baby nephew who was in hospital for 2 nights with a high temperature came home yesterday and is better again Thank God and his eldest brother who's nearly 14 and had chicken pox is nearly fully better now and his middle brother who's 2 and a half has a bit of a cold and is teething at the mo but otherwise is in great form Thank God!

Pray for stranded travelers(my family and friends are some) and those along the east coast of US and those of you that live in the Long Island area.Pray that this winter will soon come to end!! People are trying to get back from Easter vacation. Pray for safety.

I would also like to thank the Lord and you all cos my friend arrived home safely from California last night Saturday night and is fine except very tired after his long journey! He got on very well over there and is going back over in 3 weeks time.

I have another prayer request. My two colleagues are also losing their jobs in the company's restructure. Unfortunately unlike me (who was employed through an agency) my colleagues are permanent staff and through this restructure, the company is treating them both badly. The result is they are both stressed out and my supervisor in particular is struggling to cope with the whole situation.

Praying for all involved in the school shooting. On my way home from work, I heard that there had been a school shooting but didn't know the details until I logged onto the internet this afternoon.

Please pray for the family of a young lad who was only 19 who committed suicide over the weekend. He was buried today. Please pray especially for his Dad cos he lost his wife - the boy's mother only about 6 years ago and he is now left alone apart from his other family. He has lost both his wife and their only son. His wife died of a heart attack - the young lad found her at the end of the stairs when he came home from school 6 years ago..
Its a very sad situation and I cant make sense of it all so please just pray for them all and especially the boy's soul that he is in peace.
