  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What We Sow We Reap

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.” (Galatians 6:7-10 NASB1995)

I will tell you right now that I am a city girl. I have visited a farm before, and I have seen pictures of farms, but I have never lived on nor have I ever worked on a farm, so my knowledge of farming is very limited. In fact, I was never any good with house plants, either. I killed every plant I ever owned, except for one, but not on purpose. So, I am saying this to you so that you understand if I don’t get all the farming illustrations here accurately.

So, what this is teaching us here is a spiritual application to our lives of an illustration taken from farming and planting. For if I sow seed in a garden or on a farm that is intended to grow peas or corn or tomatoes, et al, it is expected that it should produce what I have sown. And on a spiritual and moral level, if I sow hatred, discord, immorality, lying, cheating, and stealing, and the like, that is what I will reap on a moral and spiritual level. And the end result will be that I will not inherit eternal life with God.

But if I sow seeds of godliness, holiness, moral purity, uprightness, faithfulness, truth, righteousness, and honesty, and submission, surrender, and obedience to my Lord and to his commands, via God-provided, and God-persuaded faith in Jesus Christ, in the power and wisdom of God, and not of my own flesh, the end result, if I continue on that course to the end, will be salvation from sin and eternal life with God. And it will mean I am now in relationship with Jesus Christ, and he is the Savior and Lord of my life.

So, we are not to take God’s grace and Jesus’ sacrifice for us on that cross for granted, assuming that if we just profess faith in Jesus Christ that salvation from sin and eternal life with God are guaranteed us regardless of how we live. For God’s grace, which is bringing us salvation, is training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives while we wait for Jesus’ return (see Titus 2:11-14).

For Jesus Christ taught that to come to him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to living in sin and for self, we will lose our lives for eternity. But if we deny self, die daily to sin, by the Spirit, and we walk in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in his power, then we have eternal life with God. For not everyone who calls him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING (obeying) the will of God (see Luke 9:23-26; Matthew 7:21-23).

And we learn in 1 John 1-3 that if we claim that we have fellowship with God, but yet we walk in darkness (sin), we are liars. If we claim that we know God, but we do not obey his commandments, in practice, we are liars. For it is not the one who claims he is “in Christ” who is “in Christ,” but it is the one who has denied self, died with Christ to sin, and who is now walking in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in practice, and no longer in sin. We have the hope and the promise of eternal life with God in heaven.

Please understand that the Scriptures do not teach a gospel which gives us full reign to keep on sinning deliberately and habitually while we ignore God’s commands. It doesn’t mean we will never sin (1 John 2:1-2) but sin must no longer be our practice, our habit, our lifestyle. So, instead of lying, cheating, stealing, and adultery, we do good to all people, as God defines “good,” and as his word teaches. But if in doing good we face oppositions and persecutions, we must not lose heart, but we must persevere in faith.

Newsweek: Donald Trump Scores Major Legal Win Over Gavin Newsom

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has declined to rehear Newsom v. Trump en banc—meaning by the full court—effectively upholding a prior ruling that permits President Donald Trump to maintain federal authority over California National Guard troops deployed in Los Angeles during protests earlier this year.

In its October 22, 2025, order, the court said a majority of eligible judges did not support rehearing the case.

Prayer request for finding identity

Hello guys once again,

Currently I am having spiritual confusion and trouble on my identity in Christ. I am completely lost in this world, but one of the main things that has been bothering me lately is why God made me mixed race.

For background my mother is white (American) and my father is black (Nigerian). I don't understand why God would allow race mixings to happen, especially with races that look completely different from each other. This area has caused me much stress, especially as I feel that my black half brings me down and is only a hindrance to me in my life. I am honestly depressed, and I also feel that bad things could very well happen to me in the future because of something my parents decided to do.

I also find it bothering why God would allow my white mother to marry a man of the ONE race as where when they mix, the offspring is typically not white-passing. (Miscegenation is much less harmful when it doesn't involve black people) It's like my mother selectively found a man with the darkest skin and the least white-looking phenotype possible to be her husband.

Everyone around me always says the same old thing about how "race is a social construct" but I don't see it that way. Most of the world (including most Christians) were against race mixing until the 1960's.

I have also had identity confusion in other areas, too. I feel like my life is meaningless, and I have no purpose. I honestly feel like nothing would change if I didn't exist.

Please pray for me about this. Let the Lord speak to me and transform me. I'm sorry if I come off as racist or anything like that, I am just in a low moment right now.

Thank you.

Full List of Democrats Who Voted Against Paying US Military During Shutdown

Senators John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Jon Ossoff of Georgia, and Rafael Warnock of Georgia voted to pass the reappropriations bill, making them the sole holdouts among Senate Democrats to vote in favor of it.

Their base is going to have to bring more pressure on them.

In Luke 4, Jesus is tempted being asked, "If you are the Son of God" did Jesus know for certain who He was, and did Satan?

I always thought Satan did and he was testing Jesus faith in Himself. But I read Gregory of Nyssa thought that it was Satan who was not sure.

Jesus had the most faith, and seeing is not believing but knowing. In John we read He was sure He came down from Heaven and had seen the Father, also He prayed and knew who to make His 12 disciples...

Went home for a visit - feel traumatized

I've been back for a few weeks now, after visiting my family in the US and my head has been all over the place.

Let's just say my parents are completely toxic. I thought I grew up in a Christian home. But having been away, and returning after many years, I have viewed my parents through the lens of an adult and my parents house is anything but Christian. There are bible quotes all over the house, crosses hung on the walls etc but my parents are beyond anything I've ever seen with regards to abnormality and dysfunction.

I am having a very hard time forgetting and forgiving what I witnessed there and I really don't know where to go with it. I haven't told them how I feel because they are not emtionally intelligent enough to handle any feedback about anything at all. They seem to so intellectually stunted that there is no way for me to communicate productively so I have pretended that everything is fine. However, the reality is that I really never want to see or talk to them again.

I keep praying about this because I know we are to honor our parents but I don't know how to do that with all that I witnessed. I feel blind sighted.

Thanks for reading this and God bless.

Bots...

I have regularly noticed that the number of actual forum members online at any time is far surpassed by the number of "visitors". (Currently I see that the number of members online is 50 and non-member visitors is 6,129) From what I have read online, this large number of visitors is almost certainly mostly an army of bots (Of course, I could be wrong about this forum -- maybe there are just a lot of visitors who are browsing without loggin in).

Concerning bots, I've noticed that various forums on the internet use a variety of effective tools to check for and eliminate them. What is Christian Forums doing concerning this?

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

I hope I'm posting in the right spot, if I'm not, my apologies and please move it to where it needs to be.

I want to talk about video games, table top games, etc and look at it from a place of Christian moral ethics. To give an example, I play the game Medieval Dynasty, which is mostly just building a city and managing it with all the resources. But due to it being close to Halloween, they've updated it to give the main towns halloween decorations. This isn't standard decorations... This looks purely pagan witchcraft to me.

aaaadd.jpg

So when you run across instances like this, what do you do? I'm not required to engage with it. Like, there isn't quests or anything but how do you handle video games and following Christian ethical standards? (This is just an example as I mean this discussion to be more broad than just the example I'm showing).

Is being a jerk a good evangelism strategy?

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, there’s been a massive surge of his followers who have a newfound curiosity in what he was most passionate about — his faith in Jesus Christ.

But I’ve been dismayed that at such a pivotal moment, with so many searching for answers, there are a multitude of Christian Pharisees online running them off with their pious attitudes.

In one such case, a young woman on X started posting her “Jesus-curious” journey. She enjoyed visiting a church for the first time in years and decided to purchase her first Bible. Innocently enough, she shared a photo of her new Bible, not realizing that people claiming to be Christians would pounce and dig their religious claws into her.

As I read the responses to her posts, I was repulsed by these people. They immediately started telling her the Bible version she purchased was wrong. I couldn’t believe that instead of encouraging her to seek Jesus, they were criticizing her choice of Bible translation. They were shaming her so vehemently, she regretted ever sharing her journey. There was no walking in wisdom or speaking gracefully as the apostle Paul instructs us in Colossians 4:6; only condemnation and judgment.

It spawned a righteous indignation in me like I haven’t felt in a long time, and I wanted to crack the whip and flip tables like Jesus did when He cleared the Temple. I was outraged by the nastiness I was witnessing. After the initial assault on this woman, a second attack came as she described how different congregations treated her when she visited.

BEAUTIFUL BRITAIN MONARCHY AND GOVERNMENT

BEAUTIFUL BRITAIN

My name is Keith and although I live in China, I am still a brit at heart.

My homeland is the UK, and therefore I wish to pray for my homeland.

Today I wish to pray for:

The British monarchy

This is a major point of contention with some people, but that is not what we are here for. King Charles II is a very confused man spiritually, he is loved by many but despised by some. Whatever you think of them, he, his wife and his whole family need a move of God in their lives. Please pray that God would open his eyes.

The gospel needs to penetrate this family and to break the bondage of ceremony into true freedom in Christ.

Please pray for the next generation of royals especially the Prince of Wales William and his wife Kate, please pray the illness Kate has been going through, may lead her to trust in Christ. Please pray for the conversion of this couple and for the conversion of his Brother Harry and his wife Meghan.

Continue to pray for the remaining members of the royal family, especially Andrew who has been involved in things he shouldn't.

The British Government

The present government is not sympathetic to Christians, the assisted dying bill has just been passed.

There are Christian Members of parliament, please pray for them.

There has been two main parties for two hundred years, but now a new third party called Reform UK has started to gain popular support, they want to deport all people who arrive in the UK illegally.

Please pray for truth to be the watchword for the UK government and for the devolved governments of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Britain is divided, it is broken.

It needs a revival of epic proportions to change the UK, please pray that God moves in great power.

Thanks for praying

We Should Restore Them

“Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. For each will have to bear his own load.” (Galatians 6:1-5 ESV)

Questions:

• What does it mean to be caught in a transgression?
• Who, biblically speaking, are those who are spiritual?
• What does it mean to restore them in a spirit of gentleness?
• What does it look like for us to bear one another’s burdens?

“Caught” can be “caught in the act,” or it can be “trapped in sin” or “taken by surprise” or “overcome, overtaken, or stricken” by any transgression (any falling away, sin, deviation from truth, error, or wrongdoing). But what is clear is that it requires that the person be restored (adjust to being in good working order; to bring into its proper condition). So there is a definite sense of a falling away and of the need to be brought back to good working order.

And this word “restore” is a medical term used for “setting dislocated limbs.” And how do they do that? They'll carefully push and pull on the dislocated joint to move it back into alignment. So this is not painless. But the most important treatment for a dislocation is putting your joint back in its correct place. And that is the entire object of restoring a Christian who has fallen back into sin back to being in good working order spiritually. And this involves a transformation of heart and mind and a willingness to obey.

Now, it is our responsibility as followers of and believers in Jesus Christ to help others to come to know Jesus Christ, in truth, and then to help them to follow him in obedience to his commands in moral purity, uprightness, godliness, honesty, and faithfulness, where possible. And if a brother or a sister in Christ, or one professing faith in Christ, should wander from the truth of the gospel, we who are following the Lord with our lives are to bring that wanderer back, if possible (men with men and women with women).

We must not, ourselves, be those who are wandering from the truth. For how can we help restore a brother or a sister in Christ back to the correct spiritual relationship with the Lord Jesus if we are not there ourselves? And if we are not there ourselves, this is no excuse for not helping others to be there, but we should first of all get ourselves back in good working order spiritually, by the grace of God, via repentance and submission to Christ as Lord, in obedience to his commands, so that we can help others.

Now we are to do this in a spirit of gentleness, which is meekness, which has to do with reserved strength. But now Jesus Christ was meek, but he was not weak, and he never compromised truth and righteousness and the gospel message in order to be “gentle” and so as not to offend anyone with the truth. He spoke the truth of the gospel strongly, powerfully, and with much conviction and determination to make certain that he told them the truth that they needed to hear, even if they rejected him, in return.

So, if we are too gentle so as not to offend people, then we will never be true servants of the Lord Jesus and of his righteousness, and so we will not be able to be used of him to help others come to genuine faith in him and to walk in obedience to our Lord, and not in sin. And this goes back to the medical term of restore, which has to do with resetting a joint which is dislocated. If the doctor is so gentle that he fears hurting us, he will never be able to put our joint back in its proper place. Do you see this?

We cannot be afraid to tell people the truth out of fear of what they will think of us. We must care enough about other people’s spiritual lives and their eternal destiny that we will lay down our lives for them enough to risk having them hate and reject us for telling them the truth about God and salvation and repentance and obedience to God. And we must warn them about where they will spend eternity if they do not leave their sins behind them to now follow Jesus Christ in obedience to his commands. For Jesus died that we might die to sin and live to righteousness (1 Peter 2:24).

And all of this has to do with bearing one another’s burdens. For this is about us stepping out of our comfort zones and risking our own lives and our own reputations in order to give people the truth that will set them free. And the truth is that Jesus died on that cross so that we will now die with him to sin and so that we will now walk with him in obedience to his commands, by his Spirit. And this is true love to tell people the truth and to help them to walk in that truth and to help them to leave their lives of sin behind them so that they can have salvation from sin and eternal life with God.

beautiful britain

Britain is totally broken, it has just lost it's anchor, the beloved Queen and the government is lurching from one crisis to another.

The words of Samuel in his first book, say this:

ICHABOD ; the glory has departed.

These words can be written over the country of Britain.

Britain is an island, but it is literally sinking.

To get back to God, it needs to do the following things:

That the church would realise that they have committed terrible sins, such as the children of did in Malachi.

The bible and prayer need to become central to the church once again.

PLEASE PRAY FOR

Please pray for the new king, he is completely confused in faith matters, like many he believes that all roads lead to God and that because he was born in a so-called Christian country, he is a Christian.

Please pray for the government, it needs people in it, who are honest and true to godly principles. There are Christians in parliament and in public office. The voice of Christianity is ignored or laughed at in society.

Christian persecution is on the rise, doctors have been prosecuted for praying with patients and nurses and others for wearing a cross. Discrimination against the Gay community is frowned upon, homosexuality is seen as just another expression of love and co habiting is now seen as a viable option for most couples. Marriage and the family are under increasing attack.

The church is very spotty, in some areas it is strong, but in others, it is nowhere to be seen, many churches are now closed or used as pubs and places of worship for other religions.

The religion of many is football and many people sit for hours in front of the Tv.

The church needs to arise and wake up.

THE COUNTRY HAS LOST Its IDENTITY
THE CHURCH HAS LOST ITS FOCUS

Please passionately pray for the UK.

GALATIANS 1

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

THE REVEALED REVELATION

Paul the great apostle to the gentiles, had to defend his apostleship in virtually every epistle, the Holy Spirit urged him to write, as false teachers had crept into the church and sought to bring the gospel into disrepute and disgrace.

The Bible... The written word of God is given by God, it is His love letter to Man.

The gospel is the good news...Amen.

The gospel that Paul preached and that we preach does not come from some far-fetched ideas, it is not man's words, it is God's words.

We receive it by the teaching of the teacher, blessed by the Holy Spirit. He takes Christ and shows it to us. Christ has been given everything of the Father and now Jesus is giving it all to us.

The gospel is so precious and indeed we should protect it with our lives, as the apostle Paul did.

We can learn vast amounts of information from books, conferences, and sermons. God uses those methods to teach us, but the best method is to sit at the feet of the master with an open Bible. When I read my bible every day and I don't get anything out of it, then I know that something is wrong.

The Bible is not a collection of stories, but it is a life-changing and life challenging book.

What has God revealed to you from his revelation today?

God bless you

GALATIANS 1

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
TWIDDLING OUR THUMBS:
Now I know the subject of election is a sore point with some Christians and I understand some of you will disagree with me.
Scripture clearly teaches election, but it also teaches free will; there are two sides to any coin yes. Whatever side you are on, let's work together for the glory of God…Amen (please don't write to me, disagree but in love please)
Paul says he was separated at birth by God; As Paul, those of us who belong to God are chosen by God. Let me explain it in the best way I can.
When I married Helen, I chose her and she chose me, but we had our own free will to say yes to each other…Amen.
My main focus is verse 16. Why Did God choose us? What is the point of salvation? God saved us so that He may display to the world the riches of His grace through Christ. Paul says that Jesus would be revealed in Him and that through Him the gospel would be preached to every nation and every tribe.
Now to fight and argue about things like election may seem justifiable to some, but consider this: There is a world out there which is dying; we talk of Nero who fiddled whilst Rome burnt to the ground, but are we fiddling with doctrinal issues, whilst the world is dying.
Let's get over our differences and glorify Christ by declaring His gospel.
An atheist once wrote a letter to Ray Comfort saying these words,
If you believe one bit that thousands every day were falling into an eternal and unreachable fate, you should be running the streets mad with rage at their blindness. That's equivalent to standing on a street corner and watching every person that passes you walk blindly directly into the path of a bus and die, yet you stand idly by and do nothing. You're just twiddling your thumbs, happy in the knowledge that one day that 'walk' signal will shine your way across the road. Think about it. Imagine the horrors Hell must have in store if the Bible is true. You're just going to allow that to happen and not care about saving anyone but yourself?
Let us spend each and every moment seeking to glorify Christ and reaching the lost…Amen
Time to stop arguing over points of doctrine and start loving each other. Jesus said, “All men will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.
The world is dying and God is saying to his church...WAKE UP!!!!!
God bless

Illinois State University teaching assistant fired, arrested after flipping TPUSA table, mocking Jesus

A teaching assistant at Illinois State University was arrested last week and relieved of his duties after flipping the table of a Turning Point USA student chapter on campus.

Graduate student Derek Lopez, 27, likened his actions to those of Jesus in a viral video of the Oct. 17 incident posted to the X account of Frontlines TPUSA, the organization's journalism arm.

“Well, you know, Jesus did it, so you know I got to do it, right?" Lopez said before trying to pull the tablecloth, upending the pins and ultimately flipping the table on its side.

"Thanks guys, have a great day," Lopez says in the clip, which also showed him ripping down flyers advertising an appearance by comedian and Blaze Media host Alex Stein.

Trump knocking down historic East Wing to build Ballroom - is this LEGAL?

As an Aussie looking on - I just shake my head in wonder.

First - he was meant to be talking to the head of NATO.

Second - he decides he would rather bring out plans for his ballroom. "No body's ever seen anything like it."
(I mean - can he learn another phrase?)

Third - is this even LEGAL? Isn't there history that should be preserved? Isn't this part of a National Trust or something?

Fourth - who is paying for it?
Because now the bill's gone up to $300 MILLION.
Great estimates Trump! Nice job!

For a gaudy, golden throne-room to his NPD. I mean - I guess it makes sense to retrofit the whole place after his own heart. He owns it. According to his latest Truth Social fantasies - he's the King who poos on his people!

And this is the ultimate metaphor for it.

Tearing down the rose garden, ancient trees, and now the East Wing itself - and remaking it in his own image.

The Way in Which We Walk

“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,
But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,
But He loves one who pursues righteousness.
Grievous punishment is for him who forsakes the way;
He who hates reproof will die.” (Proverbs 15:8-10 NASB1995)

If all we do is go through the motions of religious practice, but it has no impact on how we live for the Lord, and no longer for self, it is not acceptable to God. If all we do is go to a “church” service once or twice a week, and we sing the songs, and we listen to the sermon, but then we go home and resume our selfish existence in doing whatever gives us pleasure, it is rejected by God as true worship of him. For God is not interested in our forms of worship. He is interested in our submission and obedience to him.

And the prayer of the upright, if the person is truly living for the Lord, no longer in slavery to sin, but in walks of obedience to his commands, should be in line with God’s will and purpose for our lives. It doesn’t mean that we always know his will in certain situations, but that we should be those who pray for the will of God to be done. And we should not pray for things which we know are out of the will of God, for our own selfish pleasures. But our prayers should lift up the name of Jesus and should be what give him glory.

The way of the wicked is the way of sin and selfishness and worldly desires, which come from what is stored up in their hearts. It is all self-driven and for selfish motives and to fulfill the lustful desires of the flesh, regardless of who gets hurt in the process. “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person.” “And the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil.” (See Matthew 15:17-20; Luke 6:45) This is the way of the wicked.

But God loves one who pursues righteousness. Amen! He does indeed! For we read in the New Testament that by faith in Jesus Christ we are to die with Christ to sin and now walk with him in surrender to his will in living holy lives pleasing to God, in the power of God at work within us. For by faith in Jesus Christ we are raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin but as slaves to righteousness. For it is those who practice righteousness who are truly righteous in the sight of the Lord.

Yes, grievous punishment is for them who forsake the way of the Lord, who hate reproof, and who go their own sinful way, instead. And this includes all who make verbal professions of faith in Jesus Christ but who then who go on sinning against God, and against other humans, without care or concern, deliberately and habitually, and who will not submit to Christ’s Lordship, and who will not bow to God in surrender to his will. Their lip service to God will not grant them salvation from sin nor eternal life with God in heaven.

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.

Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.

Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.

Men deceiving: We’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.
