  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Noem orders bodycams for officers in Minneapolis

"Effective immediately we are deploying body cameras to every officer in the field in Minneapolis," Noem wrote, adding that as funding becomes available, the body camera program "will be expanded nationwide."
"We will rapidly acquire and deploy body cameras to DHS law enforcement across the country," Noem wrote. "The most transparent administration in American history — thank you @POTUS Trump. Make America Safe Again."

Walz and Frey continue the violent rhetoric, so violent clashes will happen and ICE is going to be portrayed the offenders in future conflicts. Though it is expensive it is important to let the people see what the officers see rather than what the major media tells them happened.

You saw What ???

Dr. Coleman was a missionary Doctor in Iraq for 25 years, caring for the sick of any faith.

Being poorly resourced he started to question his ministry.

This particular morning the waiting room was full as usual.

First up was an older muslim woman with very cracked feet. He knew he couldn't do much for her - more than a placebo cream.

Again he wondered if his effort was worth it.

Two weeks later the same lady was in the waiting room.

"Would you like to see my feet Dr. Coleman?" she said.

On examination the feet were like child's feet - soft and new.

Being a Brit he softly said "they do seem to be better don't they"

"Would you like to hear about a dream I had" she said.

"Of course" said Coleman.

I saw a man in white riding on a Donkey and he said to me "Go to Dr Coleman and get your feel healed".

Now the reason for this thread is that it is common among unsaved Muslims to see visions or have dreams that lead them to faith in Jesus.

But if a believer claims to have seen Jesus the theological guns come out.

Why is this?

I saw Jesus face to face when I was 8 years old and this contributed to becoming born again at 13.

I will never forget what He said to me.

"There is nothing in this life that you do that I wont see."

ELRoy is the God who sees.

Woman euthanized against her will in Canada after her husband's request: review board

A woman in her 80s was euthanized in Ontario, Canada, after telling medical staff she wanted to live and receive hospice care, according to a review board, which said her death was approved and carried out the same day after her husband requested a second assessment.

The woman, identified as Mrs. B and who had recently undergone coronary artery bypass surgery, initially requested euthanasia but later told an assessor she had changed her mind and instead wanted palliative care due to her personal and religious beliefs, according to the Ontario Chief Coroner’s Medical Assistance in Dying Death Review Committee.

However, hospice admission was denied, and her husband requested a second assessment under Canada’s MAiD program. The new assessor deemed her eligible, overriding the concerns of the first assessor, who had warned of coercion, sudden changes in her wishes, and caregiver burnout as possible risks.

‘Any Christian who votes Democrat again is a fool,’ rapper Nicki Minaj declares

Nicki Minaj, who Billboard recently ranked as the best female rapper of all time and is considered the most successful female rapper in the world, has declared that any Christian who votes for the Democratic Party again "is a fool."

"Any Christian who votes democrat again is a fool. They're showing people that it's ok to disrupt a church during worship. This is how they truly feel about you. The veil is lifted. No morals. No integrity," Minaj wrote in a post on XSunday as the 68th annual Grammy Awards show was underway.

“It's not enough for them to have an opinion, they've escalated to physical intrusion of places of worship. The demons inside of them are so bothered. All the time."

Minaj's comments appear to be at least partly in response to protesters disrupting a Sunday service at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Jan. 19. Former CNN host Don Lemon was charged, along with other activists, for participating in the disruption. Activists protested one of the church's pastors, who leads a local U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcment office in St. Paul.

Society of St. Pius X to consecrate bishops without Rome’s approval, courting excommunication

The plan threatens to harden a decades-old split between the traditionalist group and the Vatican.

The Priestly Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) announced Monday that it plans to consecrate new bishops on July 1 even without authorization from the Holy See, a move that would likely lead to automatic excommunication of all the bishops who take part and harden a decades-old split with Rome.

The SSPX, which exclusively celebrates the Traditional Latin Mass and maintains doctrinal differences with certain teachings and reforms of the Second Vatican Council, has not consecrated new bishops since 1988 when the society’s founder, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, consecrated four bishops without Rome’s approval. The move directly contravened canon law and led to their, and the archbishop’s, automatic excommunication.

Even though Pope Benedict XVI remitted the 1988 excommunications in 2009, the Vatican says the SSPX exists in a state of “institutional irregularity” or “imperfect communion” with the Holy See, lacking a formal, recognized canonical structure. Ongoing doctrinal disagreements are the stated reason why no stable canonical structure has yet been granted.

The SSPX said Monday that its superior general, Father Davide Pagliarani, requested an audience with Pope Leo XIV last August to present, “in a filial manner,” the current situation of the SSPX, including its need for bishops.

First detransitioner medical malpractice lawsuit to go to trial leads to $2M award

A New York jury awarded $2 million to a 22-year-old woman who sued her former psychologist and plastic surgeon for malpractice over a double mastectomy she received at 16. The trial marked the first time a detransitioner’s malpractice case has gone before a jury and ended in a financial judgment.

The verdict, delivered last week by a six-member jury in New York Supreme Court in Westchester County, found both the psychologist and surgeon liable for failing to meet the standard of care in treating Fox Varian, who has identified as transgender at the time of the surgery but later detransitioned and no longer does, according to The Epoch Times.

Jurors awarded Varian $1.6 million for past and future pain and suffering and $400,000 for future medical expenses.

They determined the providers did not follow adequate protocols, including thorough communication and evaluation prior to performing surgery, and concluded these failures constituted a “departure from the standard of care.”

Varian’s mother, Claire Deacon, testified that she opposed the surgery but eventually gave consent after being warned her daughter might take her own life without it.

How do you politely tell someone off? With manners no doubt.

Like, let's say, an angry guy or something. I've had several angry men in my life before who tried to drag me down with them in their negative anger, and I would like to stand up for myself, but not in an insulting or threatening kind of way.

I hate negative environments where tensions run high. I think anger only fuels that.

I guess I could really polish my manners or something.

My dad was a really angry guy. He verbally abused my sisters and I when we were little, and having that experience gave me a fear of angry people. Usually more towards guys than to girls. Because my dad was a guy. I think I trust ladies a little bit more than guys. Probably because my mother was an angel and she was so nice to me. :)

Our Lady of Lourdes Novena

Day 1 - 2/2/26

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Ever Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, we call upon you as Health of the Sick, Refuge of Sinners, and Comfort to the Afflicted.

You know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings. Deign to cast upon me a look of mercy. By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes, you were pleased to make it a sanctuary whence you dispense your favors, and already many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and physical.

I come, therefore, with the most unbounded confidence to implore your maternal intercession. Obtain, O loving Mother, the granting of my requests

(mention request here…)

Through gratitude for favors, I will endeavor to imitate your virtues that I may one day share your glory.

Our Lady of Lourdes, chosen from all eternity to be the Mother of the Eternal Word and in virtue of being the Immaculate Conception, we kneel before you as did young Bernadette at Lourdes and pray with childlike trust in you that as we contemplate your glorious appearance at Lourdes, you will look with mercy on our present petition and secure for us a favorable answer to the request for which we are making this novena.

O star of purity, Mary Immaculate, Our Lady of Lourdes, glorious in your assumption, triumphant in your coronation, show unto us the mercy of thy Son. Virgin Mary, Queen and Mother, be our comfort, hope, strength, and consolation. Amen.

Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.

Saint Bernadette, pray for us.

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Jelly Roll Delivers Powerful Jesus-Filled Acceptance Speech at the 2026 Grammys

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, delivered one of the most Jesus-filled acceptance speeches a secular awards show has ever heard after winning Best Contemporary Country Album for “Beautifully Broken” at the Grammy Awards.

The 2026 Grammys aired live from L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night before an estimated 12,000 attendees and millions of viewers worldwide.

In addition to Best Contemporary Country Album, Jelly Roll also won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his collaboration with Shaboozey on “Amen,” and for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for his collaboration with Brandon Lake on “Hard Fought Hallelujah.”

Note that they red carpet was lined with fans of all ages.

Gerald Weston says; "The biblical holy days".
Gerald Weston is a Sabbatarian; who presumes to deny Sunday, and yet later on; shows a verse in Lev 23.
While the biggest issue still; is on genuine vrs "counterfeit" bibles.
Gerald says; Millions read the Bible; but don't understand the big picture found in its pages. The reason; they disregard the days God commands. ...
If that means; Sabbath is the day we should worship on, and not Sunday; then what is his explanation on 2 Cor 3:7; as the 10 Cs is abolished and Sunday is logically implied?
Gerald quotes Matt 5:17; and wants us to think the we take our "Sabbath" orders from Jesus! We don't!
Does Matt 19:17; mean to keep the 10 Cs? Sabbath would need to be specified; and that wasn't.
Also because Paul is our final Sabbath commander; who said, Don't bother with Sabbath, or the 10 Cs.
Luke 6:46; is not a reason to keep Sabbath; as Jesus broke Sabbath.
As Gerald mentions about Jesus breaking Sabbath; or No!?
Gerald talks about law. Will there be any mention of Gal 6:2?So far; No!
1 John 2:3-4; does not mean; we need to keep Sabbath.
And still no mention of 2 Cor 3:7?

Would a Christian man be okay with this arrangement?

A very odd situation here, but can in your right mind as a Christian man be okay with dating a Christian woman who dates with NO marriage in mind?

@bèlla and others...Figured I'd bounce this off of you since the lady I've recently corresponded with kind of reminds me of you :) We actually had been friends on FB for a time, but not really talked.

Then I had recently seen her join a singles group in my area. And i honestly didn't ask her about her faith/religion until later in the chat, but we'll get back to that.

I sent her DM pointing this out and we get to chatting, and she said something that probably would not make us a match. That she is looking for a man who can also travel for work like herself. Basically, living out of hotels. I asked her that's probably rare, and she said she had no problem meeting men that do the same, but they weren't a match in other ways.

She told me she's an account executive, so an obvious career woman. I asked her if she's open to marriage, and I got a big "No" from her....as she considers it a "construct" that she no longer believes in.
So I'd just figured that she'll just prefer to live in sin/co-habitat indefinitely.

I'm like, "Okay, so I take it you're not Christian?" She goes, "Oh, indeed I am, I was actually married to a pastor for 18 years". My jaw hit the ground. Talk about a walking contradiction. I thought she walked away from the faith based on a bad marital experience.

She goes on about how she grew weary of being not only the career woman, but also coming home to cook, clean, and do wifely things, while he just...worked and came home. (Didn't contribute to his role outside of just working)

I figured she drank the Kool-Aid of being an empowered, independent "girl boss"

I told her she wouldn't have to worry about that with me, as I've been cooking and cleaning for myself for years, and she goes, "but...that's until you get married and then you'll expect your wife to do all the work"

So apparently that was this all about.

I told her, "Sorry, but there's no Christian man that would be on board with dating, with no intent to marry" Dating without intent, and I questioned her Christian faith based on his major attitude that she needs to turn away from as she would be just wasting his time.

Not With Superiority of Speech

“And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:1-5 NASB1995)

Do any of you identify with Paul? I mean, not in every respect, but in how he described himself here? When you read his words, do you feel what he is feeling? I do, in some respects. For public speaking has never been my forte, although the Lord did call me to begin making video talks beginning in 2020 during the Covid crisis and the lockdowns. And I am still making video talks, although not as often as I had been. And I was never the outgoing type, and I am generally soft spoken, and I stumble over my words with lots of “uhs.”

My words, as well, are not spoken to impress anyone with my “gift of speaking.” I am kind, and I am thoughtful, but I speak the truth in love to people the way in which the Lord gives it to me to say, not in the way I would think people might like to hear it. I am a defender of the faith, and I will stand on the truth even if all are against me but God. And I am not a technology wizard, by far, so my presentations will also not be flashy, but plain and simple, as I am in nature. So what you see is what you get.

Am I perfect? No! I don’t always say all the right things in all the right ways, and sometimes I could kick myself because I did a poor job of expressing myself. And if I feel I have offended someone in my own nature, I will definitely apologize and try to make it right. For I have no desire to be an offense unless I am being an offense by sharing the truth of the gospel that many do not want to hear. For many people are going after the “feel good” messages which do not teach faith by death to sin and obedience to God.

Now, we are not all going to be like Paul, nor should we try to be like any other human in every respect. For God uniquely designed all of us, and he made us to look different and to be different and to not be all the same. So we should not try to be like “so and so” in every respect, for then we cease to be who God created us to be. And it is not natural for us to try to be someone else. But if someone is setting a good model before us, which is biblical, then it is good if we emulate that model of a Christian’s life.

And the Scriptures themselves teach us that we are not to be proud and arrogant and boastful people who speak in order to impress others, or who say only what we think will make people like us. We are to be people of God who speak the words of God to the people, in truth, in love, with kindness, but without compromise of truth and righteousness. We are to be bold in sharing the truth of the gospel even if we are hated and rejected and cast aside by the majority of people who find us “weird,” because we’re different.

But this can’t be about us or what people think of us or whether or not we are accepted by the majority. This has to be about Jesus Christ and who he is and what he did in putting our sins to death with him, and in rising from the dead, so that by faith in him we will now die to sin and obey our Lord, in practice, and have deliverance from bondage to sin and the hope of eternal life with God. We have to speak the truth to the people that they need to hear with the hope that they will die to sin and obey God and live for him.

How Abrahamic Circumcision points to Salvation

During Abraham's time, circumcision was performed by knives made of rocks as they did not have steel yet. After a male was circumcised, this left him in extreme pain and he was very sensitive to all his surroundings for a month. Even a small change in temperature would bring pain to the male.

How does this point to Salvation?

After Adam and Eve's fall in the garden in Genesis 3, God cursed humanity, and every human has a heart made of stone. That is the result of our disobedience to God. As Adam represents the whole humanity, he is the head of all of us, we all fell in Adam. And we have a problem. Our hearts are made of stone, incapable of following God, we are enslaved to sin.

We need a surgeon who performs a heart surgery. A surgeon who removes the heart of stone and replaces it a heart of flesh which is capable of loving God and following His commandments.

And as it was with Abrahamic circumcision, this heart surgery also leaves us very sensitive to God.

I remember from my experience when I was saved, I realised the sin within me and how evil I was, thinking God would never forgive a sinner like me. I was mourning over my sinfulness and inability of doing anything about it. I needed a Saviour.

And thus every Christian has a heart that wants to follow God and hates sin. It mourns over sin, it is sensitive to God.
But if your heart does not hate sin, and does not want to obey God, you need a surgeon who gives you a new heart of flesh, capable of following God and loving Him, you need a Saviour.

ICE WARS: Minneapolis Insurgents Set Up Barricades; Block Cars, Run License Plates, Check IDs

Call them militias or whatever you wish, these people want mob rule, they don't care for the laws on the books and are not willing to go through the democratic process in our country to change those laws. In my opinion what drives them is hate for our country, a country they view as being systemically racist and an oppressor of minorities. To me we are the country that conquered slavery, an institution which was present for thousands of years. Also in my opinion America's success is because our country recognized from the beginning that our rights come from God. You can bet these agitators want to pack the Supreme Court and institute other takeover methods as well. While law enforcement is a current focus I expect the targets will be broadened.

The Melania Movie

I feel like our country has become the biggest joke on the planet. Just when you think things can't get any more bizarre.

And then it beats box office expectations, pulling in $7 million on the opening weekend. That will cover a small portion of the bribe, erm... salary that they paid Melania for this film.

Are Americans really this bored?

prayer

I have asked so many times for prayer for my son Jakeb. He suffers so much with his mental and physical health. We found out that our doctor is retiring due to health issues and this makes it even more of a challenge Please pray that if it is God's will everything will fall into place to get my son healthy. Please pray that the GI doctor will have an earlier opening and please ask Jesus to heal him. Mind and body and to please let me hear him laugh or talk to friends. It shows me that he is at least having a good night. Pray he won't lose more weight, and that there is nothing seriously wrong and the doctors can help him. It hurts to see him suffer so much and when I do get to hear him laugh it's the best feeling in the world. Days like this is so hard on him and on me his mom. Please pray I can hear him laugh soon. Thank you for your constant prayers. They mean so very much. I ask this in the name of Jesus and God bless you. Carmen

Trump goes scorched earth and vows to SUE Epstein estate and nemesis

Donald Trump has threatened to sue Jeffrey Epstein's estate, and his friend-turned-nemesis Michael Wolff, for allegedly 'conspiring' to destroy his political career.

Emails between Wolff, who appeared to be Epstein's unofficial adviser before the 2016 US election, show the two men gunning for Trump's downfall.

In one message, Wolff told the disgraced financier he could be the 'bullet' to end Trump's bid for the White House, and in another, he advised Epstein to 'let (Trump) hang himself' in TV interviews about their relationship.
