Can't find this book anywhere at all. It likely only exists in some obscure library in a monastery or seminary somewhere in Ukraine or Russia. I'm doing research to confirm or otherwise deny the validity of certain end times prophecies which are liberally on the web, without regard for whether or not a certain saint actually spoke the alleged prophecies. Patriarch Kirill has used these so-called prophecies to gain support for the war in Ukraine. There is supposed to be an original published book, a reprint of the original, and another "edited" version that was published by one "Cherubim Degtyar", who reportedly pretended to be an Orthodox clergyman but was an imposter with mental health issues and attributed statements to Saint Lawrence of Chernigov which he never said. I currently have a strong desire to determine what prophetic sayings can be rightly attributed to St. Lawrence and which are likely fraudulent. I'd appreciate any suggestions that might help, though I honestly don't expect I'll find it. Thanks.

East Palestine, Ohio February 3, 2023
On February 3, 2023, about 8:54 p.m. local time, eastbound Norfolk Southern Railway (NS) general merchandise freight train 32N derailed 38 railcars on main track 1 of the NS Fort Wayne Line of the Keystone Division in East Palestine, Ohio.1 (See figure.) The derailed equipment included 11 tank cars carrying hazardous materials that subsequently ignited, fueling fires that damaged an additional 12 non-derailed railcars. First responders implemented a 1-mile evacuation zone surrounding the derailment site that affected up to 2,000 residents. There were no reported fatalities or injuries. At the time of the accident, visibility conditions were dark and clear; the weather was 10°F with no precipitation.

......The positive train control system was enabled and operating at the time of the derailment.

Train 32N was operating with a dynamic brake application* as the train passed a wayside defect detector on the east side of Palestine, Ohio, at milepost (MP) 49.81.4 The wayside defect detector, or hot bearing detector (HBD), transmitted a critical audible alarm message instructing the crew to slow and stop the train to inspect a hot axle. The train engineer increased the dynamic brake application to further slow and stop the train. During this deceleration, an automatic emergency brake application initiated, and train 32N came to a stop.5
On the Fort Wayne Line of the Keystone Division, NS has equipped their rail network with HBD systems to assess the temperature conditions of wheel bearings while en route. The function of the HBD is to detect overheated bearings and provide audible real-time warnings to train crews. Train 32N passed three HBD systems on its trip before the derailment. At MP 79.9, the suspect bearing from the 23rd car had a recorded temperature of 38°F above ambient temperature. When train 32N passed the next HBD, at MP 69.01, the bearing’s recorded temperature was 103°F above ambient. The third HBD, at MP 49.81, recorded the suspect bearing’s temperature at 253°F above ambient.
NS has established the following HBD alarm thresholds (above ambient temperature) and criteria for bearings:

• Between 170°F and 200°F, warm bearing (non-critical); stop and inspect
• A difference between bearings on the same axle greater than or equal
  to 115°F (non-critical); stop and inspect
• Greater than 200°F (critical); set out railcar

* On a diesel-electric locomotive, dynamic braking uses electric traction motors as generators, slowing the train and dissipating mechanical energy as heat.

NTSB investigators identified and examined the first railcar to derail, the 23rd railcar in the consist. Surveillance video from a local residence showed what appeared to be a wheel bearing in the final stage of overheat failure moments before the derailment. The wheel bearing and affected wheelset have been collected as evidence and will be examined by the NTSB. The vinyl chloride tank car top fittings, including the relief valves, were also removed and examined by the NTSB on scene. The top fittings will be shipped to Texas for testing under the direction of the NTSB.

As a child I was taken to church regularly and then in my teens and early twenties I drifted. I then attempted to re-enter the church scene but have struggled with that quite a bit and`I am not keen at times on what I find in the churches I have been to (admittedly only a few). In these churches there has been a emphasis on House Group membership and an attempt to get more members into house groups (a mid week get together) . House groups within churches I know may differ very much from each other. Some are more heavily into social events, others like to focus on Bible study. I know they may be beneficial for people who feel they get overlooked in a biggish congregation and can help people make friendships. However I find they can become a burden when its required that members be at each event or outing they hold. I think what would be better might be a few newcomers groups that aim to integrate people into church life.

During my stint away from church I questioned almost everything about what I believed and why I believed it including whether I believed out of conformity or not. One of the last churches I went to was trying to be a bit innovative, and held seeker services. They actually sent people to the Willow Creek church in the US to learn a bit about how they did it. I wasn't sure whether their approach was transferable to a congregation in another country. In all the innovation with music and film during the service - I wondered at times if the Gospel message was kind of getting a bit lost. Another thing they did I wasn't very comfortable with was they would have break-out sessions in the main evening service, everyone would get into groups and they'd discuss something about how we "did church". It was friendly enough and I kept going back for eight years or so, then eventually both pastors moved on to other churches and a new young pastor quit after a disagreement with elders and I drifted again.

I went back a while later and it had changed a lot. Previously they had a sort of surround / pulpit up a couple of steps where the minister lead from, this (at least on this occasion) had gone and the worship band occupied the stage. There was a lecturn now on the same level as the congregation. Maybe its just me but I like to be able to see the minister - I have a sort of irrational fear come over me when I can't.


I have my reservations about submitting any local church until I can get a good idea what they are about. In a sense I like to vet them, but I don't find they always like people doing this.

We now know the Saucon Valley School District was closed Wednesday due to a threat related to the new After School Satan Club.

In a statement to parents, Superintendent Jaime Vlasaty said a threatening voicemail was left at the School District office at 4 p.m. Tuesday by a man who referenced the approval of After School Satan Club. In consultation with the Lower Saucon Police Department, she decided to close school Wednesday.

In light of the threat and the disruption the threat caused to the district, the superintendent says, she will be recommending a full review of the club's use of the district's facility.

Some believe that the message of the gospel is intended to challenge sinners and by challenging them cause the elect among them to repent as the Holy Spirit convicts them thought a new-born godly conscience. The word I chose, 'challenge', can be replaced with the word, 'offend' and the meaning will be almost exactly the same.

Are you one who presents a challenging gospel, an offensive one, when you have the opportunity to explain Jesus and his work to people who are not yet professing Christians?

The Biden administration sent federal emergency officials to the site of Ohio’s toxic train derailment Saturday — two weeks after the disaster released a chemical plume that contaminated local streams and caused a mass evacuation of panicked residents.

Locals in East Palestine, Ohio have bitterly criticized the slow state and federal response since a train carrying toxic vinyl chloride and other chemicals derailed Feb. 3.

Experts testified before Alaska lawmakers Monday about the widespread, long-term harm child abuse has on the state — to the economy, to the workforce and to taxpayers when traumatized children and the adults they grow up to be rely on government services.

But, in questioning one of those experts, state Rep. David Eastman (R) zeroed in on a possible “benefit.”

“How would you respond to the argument that I have heard on occasion where, um, in the case where child abuse is fatal, obviously it’s not good for the child, but it’s actually a benefit to society because there aren’t needs for government services and whatnot over the whole course of that child’s life?” Eastman said.

In the days since the committee meeting, Eastman’s remarks have caused an uproar. His colleagues called them “despicable,” “atrocious” and “indefensible.” On Wednesday, the Alaska House of Representatives voted 35-1 to censure him.

The Fear of the Lord

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. So, what does it mean to fear the Lord? To fear God is to revere, respect, honor, worship, and obey him. To fear God involves believing that what he says he will do, that he will do it, whether promises of blessings or promises of judgments, and then to act accordingly in obedience to him. It means to do what is right and acceptable to him and to make it our goal to please the Lord. It involves acceptable worship of God (Rom 12:1-2). And it involves cleansing ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion.

But those who act foolishly in self-indulgence, unwisely, recklessly, selfishly, and childishly despise the wisdom and instruction of the Lord, and they have no fear of God, for they do not believe his word. And this can include many people who profess faith in Jesus Christ, too, and who may talk as though they believe the Scriptures, but whose actions and whose lifestyles demonstrate that they have no fear of God, for they continue in deliberate and habitual sin, often without conscience, and without remorse or regret, while they claim Jesus as Lord and heaven as their eternal destiny.

If Sinners Entice You

“Sinners” are those who make sin their practice. They are those who are walking in sin and who are not following Jesus Christ in righteousness and holiness and in obedience to his commands (New Covenant). So, although we were all born into sin, and we all have the propensity to sin, and we are all tempted to sin, if we are now walking according to the Spirit and no longer according to the flesh, we are not “saved sinners.” We are the righteous, the holy ones of God who once walked according to the flesh but who are now walking according to the Spirit in obedience to our Lord.

And this is important that we make this distinction, and not as a matter of pride, but because to say we are all “saved sinners” who profess faith in Jesus Christ, then that is to indicate that all who are saved by God’s grace are still actively and habitually sinning against the Lord. And it is to not make the biblical distinction between those of genuine faith in Christ and those not of genuine faith in Christ. For it is those who make sin their practice and who are not obeying the Lord in practice who will not inherit eternal life with God. And it is those who make righteousness and obedience to the Lord their practice who do have eternal life with God.

So, when this says, “if sinners entice you,” this is speaking of those who are actively engaged in sin, for whom sin is their practice. And this is apparent by the things these sinners do, for they try to tempt others, including the godly, to sin along with them. And this is in character for many who are living in deliberate and habitual sin, for they want others to join in with them in their debauchery, perhaps to alleviate any guilt they may have, or perhaps out of jealousy or resentment towards those who are living righteously, like was the situation with Cain and his brother Abel.

But in this case, the sinner is not murdering the righteous by taking his physical life from him, but this is murdering the righteous by getting them to join in with the sinful lifestyles of those who are actively engaged in deliberate and habitual sin against God and against their fellow humans. And so we must be on our guard against such tactics as these so that we do not fall prey to deception and fall into the devil’s traps. For some of this is not so outright, but it can be very subtle suggestions to try to trip us up.

And one of those subtle suggestions is to call all people professing faith in Jesus Christ “saved sinners,” thus putting us all in the same category and to suggest that we can all be saved from our sins but that we can still actively engage in sinful behaviors, and that just isn’t true. The Scriptures are very clear that, as followers of Jesus Christ, we must cease from making sin our practice, and we must walk in obedience to our Lord, for if we do not, then we are not saved from our sins and heaven is not our eternal destiny. But not many people are teaching that these days.

So, the point here is that not all temptation to sin is outright and obvious, as is written about in this passage of Scripture in Proverbs 1. So we need to be aware that the devil knows that is not going to work with a lot of us, and so he tries more subtle and hidden ways of trying to entice us to sin. And one of the main ways he is doing that today is by pulling Scriptures out of their context and twisting them to say what they do not say and by adding and subtracting from the Scriptures in order to teach what is false. And a lot of these false teachings are cloaked in truth and so they are hidden.

So, just be aware that not all temptation to sin is going to be as obvious as you might think, and there are many subtle and hidden messages that are false that are being relayed along with what is truth with the whole purpose to deceive and to trap in sin the naïve and the unsuspecting and the casual professers of faith in Jesus Christ whose spiritual armor is not actively engaged. And these subtle lies are being inserted in pastor’s sermons and in songs and in social media memes and in devotions (but not in all cases). So we have to be spiritually alert to catch them and to not get trapped by them.

We know that Noah's flood took place in the Euphrates River Valley. But it was about the same time as Robert Ballard's flood in the Black Sea. Hello, I've been struggling with hallucinations. They started when I was younger, I'll wake up in the middle of the night to spiders and bugs crawling on the walls. Sometimes I'll have webs float toward my face or just weird dangly things floating around. It's been messing with me a lot honestly. I've even seen figures of people before. It doesn't happen too often maybe once every couple of weeks, but I've been praying about it a lot and I just can't understand why I am getting attacked like this. Nor have I gotten any answer on it yet. I guess i just want to know if there are any believers that have struggled with something like this or may have an idea of what's going on. Thank you.

My father has really high blood pressure. The doctor told him he is at risk of heart attack. Please pray for his health, for him to make the right choices to improve his health, and for him to be strong as he once was when he was younger, and please pray that he has the guidance to make the right decisions about his health.

Another way to say it is the herd mentality. part A. of Ex. 23:2 not to follow a multitude to do evil. You know the blind lead the blind and they both fall in a ditch. But as we look at the 2 books of Corinthians we see Paul's concern that some will effect others. That is why each believer counts to plant good seed and the word of God. The people who live in a conservative manner and not have wild ideas how God wants to run his church. or the correct doctrine. In some religions they have changed from foundational principles to keep people from leaving the congregation. That is why unity of the faith in Christian circles keeps from confusion. Love and unity is confusing because they are able to live by opinions and not live by God's infallible word. There is a difference between a 1611 bible or one rewritten in 2000 or so. Hebrew and Greek language help to mend some contradictions. Always try to read the context and not just one scripture. If everyone would follow Jesus there would be great unity. ( words in red)
