I'm truly curious.

Despite what may appear to be failings around DQSH, we COULD all see that libraries serve a (and I don't use this word lightly), VITAL role in the community, rigtht? Is it possible that this COULD BE a common ground idea?

I don't know what American local libraries do, but I can tell you that the libraries in my hometown do incredible things; bordering almost on social work.


Anyways, I guess they don't feel the same in Missouri. That or they love petty vindictiveness more.

Something interesting- there seem to be people out there that are not Christians but have spiritual gifts anyway! I know a girl I went to high school with that was not a believer in Christ but if you were sick she could lay her hands on you and take it, the sickness would leave! She healed several people! She could also give prophecies that would come to pass. There was also a young man at my high school that could read your mind! You do have to be careful with this sort of thing but his gift did seem to be from God. There are people out there in the world that have amazing gifts, stellar, mind-blowing gifts! There are non-christians that maybe even have stronger gifts than those in the body of Christ!

IN HELL you wont need any faith to know that Jesus is real.

There is no 2nd chance to do that after you die.. You have to do it NOW, TODAY., while you are alive.

There is no 2nd Chance to believe in Hell, as once you are there, you will SEE that its all true and that is not faith.

There are NO born again person in hell, and there is no way to become born again in hell.

Do not listen to a Cross Rejecting deceiver if they tell you that you can go to hell and get saved later, while you are there, or that you can be "prayed out of Hell".

Jesus taught more about Hell than He taught about Heaven.

As America falls apart at the seams I feel a need to pray for all American Christians.

I pray that God guides us through this evil time, and that His Hand remains upon us, especially now when we need it most.

I pray that our thoughts remain firmly fixed on God and His perfect Will, and that our actions reflect Him and that Will, whatever that may be.

I pray also we are given the peace that only comes from God, and that we don't fall to deception, in the land of the intentionally deceitful.

For me personally- I feel like I'm grasping for a peace that's just out of reach, and I want to lock my doors and just let the world destroy itself, but I don't think- think being the operative word - that that's what I should do if I'm keeping God the foremost thing in my mind.

Until yesterday I felt like there was still some hope here in America that we could turn it all around, but now I know it's gone for good. There's no saving this anymore, the ship is well and truly sunk.

I'm a mixture of emotions, and don't feel centered on God. I need to recenter on Him, and I think we all do.

For the very first time I saw people holding "the end is near" signs along with a laundry list of people at risk of judgement if they don't meet up with Jesus in my town - something I've NEVER seen here before what with there being a church on every street corner. (There's a LOT of churches here where I live).

This leads me to believe that I'm not alone, and that all of us need prayers, because in this environment people feel like they have to do something, I just want to know that something is God's will for us.

Please pray with me.

I heard a prophecy that in the end-times there is going to be such an outpouring of God's spirit that all believers will have spiritual gifts! There will be a mass turning away from the faith but those that remain faithful will receive off the charts anointings and gifts!

I have met several people who have amazing gifts, there is a guy at my other church (Grace Chapel in E-Town) who sees auras around people, he can tell if you have something wrong with you just by looking at you. If you have an aura around your leg that means pain in your leg. At first I was not sure if his gifts were from God but I am now convinced they are, he ministered to me several times and I got healed!

There was another guy at the same church that had the same gift, they both saw the same thing without communicating with eachother. He had had this gift since he was a little boy, he had always had it!

This guy was seeing auras around people even as a child, one time he asked his mother as a little boy what the colors meant, his mother freaked and took him to the hospital to have him looked at. The gift left while he was in the ER and they discharged him, then when he got home the gift came back. Later in life he realized the gift was from God and also realized that the auras meant something, he could tell if someone was sick or injured depending on the aura.

Monks of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (primate - Metropolitan Onufry) are evicted from monasteries.

The reason is that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has its origins in the Russian Orthodox Church. And although from the first day of the war, the UOC condemned Russia’s military attack on Ukraine, while helping refugees and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is still called the “Russian Church” in the media space and the authorities blackmail them with eviction if they do not go over to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine was artificially created by the authorities from schismatics and several defectors from the UOC with the support of Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople in 2018. This was a violation of the Orthodox canons approved at the Ecumenical Councils in the 1st millennium.

The monks of the UOC do not want to risk saving their souls and moving to the OCU. For this they are persecuted, they began to be evicted from the monasteries. The largest monastery in Ukraine is the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. More than 200 monks live here. There are a little of monks in the OCU. OCU has approximately 60 monks for 50 monasteries (1-2 monks per monastery). The UOC has 4,500 monks. For the sake of appearance, the OCU can sometimes perform some kind of church services. But it will no longer be a monastery, but worship on the territory of the museum. Yes, and in violation of the canons. Thus, the Ukrainian government wants to evict the monks from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and turn it into a museum, and throw more than 200 monks into the street. Then they can evict the second largest monastery in Ukraine - the Pochaev Lavra, and so on.

In the Scriptures, we have been given a glimpse into the future, so that we know what is coming, and so we know what to expect, and so that we will be prepared for it when it does come. Now, we may not know all the specifics of who is who and what is what exactly, and we may not know exact dates and times that these things will take place, but we have been given enough information throughout the Scriptures that we should be prepared in advance so that we are not taken by surprise when they do happen.

Now, I know that some of you are convinced that none of this will happen to you, and that you will be raptured before any of this takes place. So, we aren’t just freed from the punishment of sin, and it isn’t just so we can go to heaven when we die, or when Jesus returns for his bride. Jesus Christ died on that cross to deliver us out of our slavery (addiction) to sin so that we would now become slaves of him and of his righteousness, and so we are no longer enslaved to sin. And the righteous requirement of the law is fulfilled in us who walk (in conduct, in practice) no longer according to the flesh but now according to the Spirit (Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14).

And one day he is going to return for his bride, his faithful ones, but not for those who give lip service to him only, but for those who are walking in holiness and in righteousness and in obedience to the Lord, and not in sin, in practice, by the grace of God, and in his power, wisdom, and strength. And all to the glory and praise of God, too. But those who give lip service only to him will hear him say, “I never knew you. Depart from me you workers of lawlessness,” because they didn’t obey the Lord (Matthew 7:21-23).

Now John was given the assignment by the Lord to write down in a book what the Lord was going to show him, and he was to send it to the seven churches. And John saw, in the Spirit, what appeared to be the Lord Jesus, from what I understand, and it was a marvelous sight to behold.

Yes, that is definitely a description of the Lord Jesus Christ, for Jesus is the first and the last. And he died, but he was resurrected from the dead, and now he lives that we might die with him to sin and live to his righteousness. And yes, he holds the keys of Death and Hades, and so no one and nothing has any power over him or any ability whatsoever to circumvent his will. So, Satan has no power over us, and he can do nothing to us unless God allows it to happen. And if God allows it, he will bring us through it.

For our future is in God’s hands if we are his true children, and if our lives are surrendered to him to do his will. Well, actually, the future of all humankind is the hands of God and not one of us can circumvent his plans and his purposes. So we are not to fear what the future holds for us, whether it will bring about good or bad, peace or disaster. So, we just need to keep doing the will of God and just be ready mentally and spiritually for when “all hell” breaks loose. For that is where things are headed.

When the apostle Paul preached the good news concerning Christ and His kingdom, at Ephesus, his ministry continued there for the space of two years (Acts 19:10). We read that the Word of God grew mightily and prevailed, and that "all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus." However, at the close of his ministry, and of his life, he writes his last letter to Timothy and says; 2Ti 1:15 This you know, that all those in Asia have turned away from me…. While Paul was writing his last letter, believers were being persecuted for Christ; they were dying for The Lord but "turning away" from Pauline truth and teaching.

Everyone tells us that we must go back to the first three centuries to find the purity of faith and worship of the primitive church. But it is clear from this comparison of Acts 19:10 & 2 Tim. 1:15 that we cannot go back to the first century. No, not even to the apostle's own lifetime. This turning away could not have been merely personal; but must have included his teaching also, for in 2Tim.2:18, he speaks of those "who concerning the truth have erred." In chapter 3:8, he speaks of those who "resist the truth." In chapter 4:4, he speaks of those who "turn away their ears from the truth" and are "turned unto fables." Not descriptions of the unregenerate, but Christians leaving the "form of sound words" found with Paul. It was this turning away from truth as taught by the Holy Spirit through Paul, especially as contained in the letter to the Ephesians, that led necessarily; to the loss of teaching concerning The Mystery; that truth concerning the One Body of Christ given only to Paul after Israel were set aside at the end of Acts. The effect of this was at once to put everything wrong ecclesiastically, and to make room for all the various and different "Bodies," so-called, with all the consequent divisions and schisms of the church. Instead of recognizing "the One Body" which God had made, men set about making their own denominations and with this ecclesiastical confusion came the loss of the truth as to the Christian's perfect standing in Christ as having died and risen with Him. Also lost was the understanding of the difference of gifts that existed during the Acts period (AD 29-70), when Israel was still God's channel, and those given after to the church. Compare 1 Cor. 12 & Eph.4.

Also lost was the truth as to what God had made us to be in Christ; and "justification by faith" and by grace was lost. The way was now open for the full tide of error to come in: and in it came, like a flood, with all the corruption and superstition which ended in the centuries described as "the dark ages." And all this after the light of the world had come. Everyone is familiar with the term, and with the fact. But what were the dark ages? How did they come about? They were not brought on suddenly by some untoward event. There must have been some cause, something that made them possible. The corruption is historical. The Eastern churches today are in similar darkness. And the Western churches, where the reformation has not removed it, are in the same darkness. The Reformation was the beginning of the recovery of these great truths? The remarkable fact is that the recovery of these truths has taken place in the reverse order, and we remind the reader that it was not the gospels which brought Christianity out of 1400 years of darkness. It was Paul's letters. Justification by grace through faith was the first great truth recovered at The Reformation. This was the truth over which that great battle was fought and won. Not long after justification by faith was recovered, some Christians began to notice the special dispensational truth taught in Ephesians and Colossians. The Mystery truth is revealed in these two letters of Paul written after Israel was put aside at Acts 28.

The truth of the Mystery, as it was the first to go, so, it seems, is the last to be recovered. We appeal to all lovers of Bible truth to look once again at the unique writings of Paul in the two letters just mentioned. A close study of Ephesians chapter 3 is particularly encouraged. We need to ask again the question, "Was Paul the apostle chosen by the risen Christ to reveal a special phase of the purpose of God to us Gentiles?" And if he was, to ask, "What was that special Phase?" The cause of all the confusion around is that thousands, who confess to be Christians, know little or nothing of the message which comes through the post Acts Pauline letters relating to the "One Body" Church. Imagine trying to enter any earthly vocation without first showing competence in the duties and responsibilities of that employment. Yet millions of Christians, who claim to be members of the Body of Christ, cling to the dispensational aspects of the Gospels or the Acts period, trying desperately to please God by following rules and regulations which do not apply today. We must "rightly divide the word of truth" (2 Tim. 2:15) if we are to be unashamed. Faith and love are characteristics which apply to all of God's callings, but other aspects may change, for example, there are different promises & hopes made to different parts of His family, these need to be carefully examined. Being faithful to the calling which is The Church His Body, may go well beyond The Lord's prayer, the creeds, and the Ten Commandments. The Sermon on the Mount may not be the essence of Body truth since Christ's ministry was to Israel. Romans 15:8. May The Lord use this post to help bring back these vital dispensational truths and that their power may be seen in the lives of an increasing number of Christians, delivering them from all the variable winds of doctrine and the cunning craftiness of deception

Now we come to one of the big players, Constantine! This is the man who established the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church will tell you it was the Church that Jesus "built," but that's pure myth. This is the man who created Christmas and Easter. These two "holidays" were pagan celebrations and practices that were renamed and presented as "Christian." I won't get into these historical facts, but I want to point out one practice the early Catholic Church did. If there was a popular god, say a god of farming, Silvanus, the Catholic Church would change the name of the god into a "Christian" name, Isadore, call this god a "saint," and from then on, in the Catholic Church, the former pagan god became Isadore the farmer, the "Patron Saint of Farming." The Roman goddess of motherhood, Latona (Leto to the Greeks") had her name changed to Anne, and she became St Anne, the patron saint of motherhood.

Back to the study. Constantine created the "office" of Cardinal. He created this "office' expressly for the purpose of wealthy and powerful families who had at least one worthless son, a son who would never succeed in the secular world, wasnt cut out for the military, couldn't be trusted to run the family's affairs or businesses and wasn't smart enough to follow an academic life. Of course, this "office" had to be bought by the family.
Constantine referred to the Jews as a "dangerous, abominable sect." He proclaimed the Edict of Milan in 313 A.D., which gave protection to "Christians." However, it didn't offer any protection for the Jews. He assembled the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D., which developed the Nicene Creed. The first order of business was to create an "official day" for "Christians to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, which Constantine called Easter, along with Christmas.

For the hundreds of years until this council, the majority of Gentile believers participated in the Passover! A Jewish festival commanded by God in the Torah!

Now, take heed! Passover had nothing to do with the resurrection of Yeshua! The pagan spring festivals had nothing to do with the resurrection of Jesus! The word "Easter" is not in Scripture (Despite some translations inserting it into the text.) So where did the idea of celebrating the resurrection of Jesus come from? Constantine! He made up something new, a man-made tradition! The only thing Yeshua commanded to be a memorial was the Last Supper, known as Communion, Mat 26:26-28, Mk 14:22-24, Lk 22:19-20. Nowhere in Acts do you see the Jewish leaders of "The Way" start a "new festival" to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus! It's not in the Gospels or any other part of the N.T.! Just as Christmas is a myth, a man-made tradition that has no Scripture source, the Jewish people did not celebrate birthdays. God never gave a command to celebrate birthdays.
Do you now realize that when you partake of Christmas or Easter, you participate in man-made traditions that come from pagan mythology, pagan practices and pagan festivals that have no sanction from Scripture?

Constantine wrote a letter that was to be spread across the empire:

"When the question arose concerning the most holy day of Easter...In the first place, it seemed to everyone (at the Council) a most unworthy thing that we should follow the custom of the Jews in celebration of this most holy solemnity (trying to equate the Passover with the resurrection of Jesus) , who, polluted wretches, having stained their hands with a nefarious (that the Jews murdered Jesus) crime, are justly blinded in their minds...Let us have nothing in common with the most hostile rabble of the Jews."

At the Council of Antioch in 345 A.D., "Christians" were banned from celebrating the Passover Seder with Jewish friends or neighbors.
At the Council of Laodicea, 363-364 A.D., "Christians" were banned from participating in the Jewish Sabbath, that they were to rest on the Lord's day.

In 388 A.D., Bishop Ambrose of Milan instigated the burning of a local synagogue. He said that the synagogue was a home of unbelief, a house of impiety, a receptacle of folly, which God Himself had condemned. He said that the Jews were destined to wander the earth to witness the victory of the Church over the synagogue. It was not enough to affirm that the Jews were no longer a part of the Church. The Church must ALSO EXERT THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD UPON THEM.

Can you see why there was such emphasis on using the words "Christian" and "Church?"

John Chrysostom 347-407 A.D. He complained that as late as the fourth century, some "Christians" were still attending Jewish synagogues! He said that Judaism was a disease and Jews were ravenous wolves attacking the flock, that Jews should abandon Judaism and become "Christians." He compared a synagogue to a place worse than a brothel. It was a den of Scoundrels, a temple of demons, a cavern of devils, and a criminal assembly of the assassins of Christ. He said that demons dwell in synagogues and in the souls of Jews. That the Jews were only fit to be slaughtered.

British historian Paul Johnson added that Chrysostom's homilies became the pattern for anti-Jewish tirades, twisting key passages in Matthew and John to stir up hatred against the Jewish people.

Do you see how the venom and rhetoric grew worse over the years? These men were the birth of anti-Semitism! These men were read and quoted by the Nazi party!

Gentile believers, not Gentile Christians, stayed true and faithful to Jewish teaching for all of those years! Despite all of the crap the leaders of the Gentile Church kept coming up with! Jesus didn't start the "Church," man did! The "church" is not based on Scripture and never has been! It is a man-made religion of the world!

And what was the attitude 1200 years later? What about that hero of the Reformation, Martin Luther? At first, he was pro-Jewish and sympathetic to the Jewish resistance to the Catholic Church. But, after he broke away from the Catholic Church and started the "Lutheran Church," and the Jewish people didn't swarm to him, he did a 180! And he was vicious against the Jews! He wrote a work entitled "The Jews and their Lies." Here are some excerpts: "Jews are miserable and accursed," "blind, stupid and senseless," "arrogant," "do not permit the Jews to mislead you," "You cannot learn anything from them," " Their synagogues are nothing but a den of devils in which sheer self-glory, conceit, lies, blasphemy, and defaming God are practiced," thieves and robbers," Eject them from the country forever," To save our souls from the Jews, from the devil and eternal death, set fire to their synagogues," I advise that their houses be razed," "Let them have no protection under the law." This is just a tiny bit of what he wrote. You can find this work online.
But even during Martin Luther's day, we still see a Jewish influence on Gentile believers!
All of the effort made to separate the O.T. and the N.T., to create the illusion that Gentile believers were the true faith and had nothing in common with the Jews or the O.T. And that attitude, except for any disassociation with Jewish people, is still alive and well today! I distinctly remember that while a very young child trapped in the Catholic Church, I started to hate the Jews! And this stayed with me until I got into my twenties and started researching the Catholic Church!

Hello everyone!

I have been going to a PCA church and I have found its theology to be solid. I am thinking about becoming a member. However, I spend my time in more than one place and I also have christian connections in other churches. So is it acceptable to become a member in more than one church? Even if one church is PCA and the other is non denominational? I tend to travel a fair amount and I am thinking that I might find additional growth in another church sometime later in life. I am trying to understand how memberships works and just want to do the right thing.

When we look at how Nixon quit over almost nothing. I wonder if Trump stands a chance at any success at all in the 2024 election. It sure does not look like it. Why does he even bother to run at all? Why would he not be ready to retire at his age.

Why is Dec 24th and 25th so special ??? The same with Good Friday ???? Almost everyone one gets paid to take vacation on those days. And if they work , they get double pay on those days... Donald Trump has been indicted by a Manhattan grand jury, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter – the first time in American history that a current or former president has faced criminal charges.

The indictment has been filed under seal and will be announced in the coming days. The charges are not publicly known at this time, one source told CNN.

Donald Trump indicted by Manhattan grand jury

A lawyer for Donald Trump said Thursday he’s been told that the former president has been indicted in New York on charges involving payments made during the 2016 presidential campaign to silence claims of an extramarital sexual encounter.

It becomes the first ever criminal case against a former U.S. president and a jolt to Trump’s bid to retake the White House in 2024.

Joe Tacopina, a lawyer for Trump, told The Associated Press he had been told that a grand jury that had been meeting for months voted to indict Trump. The specific charges were not immediately made public.

Trump, who has denied any wrongdoing and has attacked the investigation, was expected to surrender to authorities next week, according to a person familiar with the matter who was not authorized to discuss a matter that remained under seal.

A bearded pro powerlifter entered a women’s competition in Canada — and smashed a record held by a trans lifter who was watching.

Avi Silverberg, the head coach for Team Canada Powerlifting for more than 10 years, entered Saturday’s Heroes Classic tournament in Lethbridge, Alberta, after identifying as a female.

Video shared by athlete activist group the Independent Council on Women’s Sports (ICONS) shows him walking up to the platform still fully bearded and wearing a regular men’s singlet.

He then casually bench-pressed nearly 370 pounds — beating the current Alberta women’s record by almost 100 pounds.

That record — 275 pounds — was held by trans athlete Anne Andres, who was seen watching Silverberg while volunteering at the event.

ICONS said Silverberg “mocked the discriminatory [Canadian Powerlifting Union] policy” that allows competitors to register for events under their “gender identity and expression, rather than their sex or gender,” vowing “no consequences” for doing so.

CPU’s trans policy states that an individual “should be able to participate in the gender with which they identify and not be subject to requirements for disclosure of personal information beyond those required of cisgender athletes.”

Evan Gershkovich was detained in the city of Yekaterinburg while allegedly trying to obtain classified information, the Federal Security Service, known by the acronym FSB, said Thursday.

Late Tuesday night, the Missouri House of Representatives voted for a state operating budget with a $0 line for public libraries. While the budget still needs to work its way through the Senate and the governor’s office, state funding for public libraries is very much on the chopping block in Missouri.

The new budget sets funds for libraries to $0. Library groups say the move is retaliation for suing the state over its recent book ban law.

ACLU-MO filed the suit on behalf of the Missouri Association of School Librarians and the Missouri Library Association (MLA) in an effort to overturn a state law passed in 2022 that bans sexually explicit material from schools.

The lawsuit claims that school districts have been pulling books from their shelves.
