Roseanne Barr blames God for career-ending tweet about Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett

Comedian Roseanne Barr recently claimed that her career-ending tweetfrom 2018 likening former Obama presidential advisor Valerie Jarrett to an ape was an idea that came to her from God.

"The way I feel about it is that God told me to do what I did, and it was a nuclear bomb," Barr said during an interview with Variety published last week.

"The day of my tweet, over 2 million Americans Googled Valerie Jarrett and the Iran deal. And that was my intent. So, whatever."

New poll shows more Americans support prioritizing ‘birth sex’ over ‘gender identity’

Results of a new Gallup poll reveal an increase in the number of Americans who support policies that prioritize sex over gender identity.

The polling firm surveyed 1,003 U.S. adults from May 1–18, asking them a number of questions related to sex and gender with a margin of sampling error of 4%. When compared with the 2021 and 2023 Gallup research surveys on sex and gender, the new study revealed an increase in the number of Americans who prefer using sex as an identifier rather than “gender identity.”

The most recent poll called “Values and Beliefs” focused on two specific policies related to which team transgender athletes should compete on and how they should identify themselves on government documents.

The results showed that 69% of U.S. adults surveyed believe that “trangender athletes should only be allowed to play on sports teams that match their birth gender.” Of the sample, 90% of Republicans agreed with this statement, 72% of independents, and 42% of Democrats.

Prayer Request for My Dad

It wears heavy on me. My dad has had four people close to him die in the last decade. His childhood best friend died in the last few months. His good/best friend died some years ago. Another one of his very good friends died after that person. His brother also died in the last few years. And now, just yesterday, my parents' dog died. I've never seen my dad so sad. He tries to still joke around like his usual self, but I can't imagine the kind of loss he is going through. I hate to see my dad in pain. My father is one of the greatest Christian men I know. He is completely selfless. He only ever thinks of others. He does almost all the work around the house. He gets my mom what she wants. He takes her on vacations as well as taking me and my brother out on vacations. This all comes out of the money that he manages. He is VERY generous with his finances, giving generously to missionaries and to his church. He is also a man of great integrity. He is the sort of person who will pay his bills before he buys food. Not exaggerating. He is an evangelist and has brought many of his friends to the Lord. He has been faithful to his wife, his family, and the Lord for all his life. Please pray that God comforts him with His Spirit. Thank you.

US Ambassador Huckabee says ‘no room’ to recognize Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria in current culture

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee told Bloomberg News that Washington does not see room for a Palestinian state at the moment.

Huckabee told Bloomberg that U.S. support for a Palestinian state in the current climate has cooled.

"Unless there are some significant things that happen that change the culture, there's no room for it," Huckabee told the news outlet during an interview in Jerusalem.

Simone Biles apologizes for making things 'personal' in social media spat with Riley Gaines

Olympic gymnast Simone Biles has apologized to All-American swimmer Riley Gaines after criticizing her advocacy for women's sports on social media over the weekend.

In a Tuesday X post, Biles said that she has always believed "competitive equity & inclusivity" are essential in sports, saying that the current system "doesn't adequately balance these important principles." The Olympic medalist cited her frustration over this as the reason why her exchange with Gaines became heated. She apologized for making things "personal" with Gaines.

"These are sensitive, complicated issues that I truly don't have the answers or solutions to, but I believe it starts with empathy and respect. I was not advocating for policies that compromise fairness in women's sports," Biles wrote. "My objection is to be singling out children for public scrutiny in ways that feel personal and harmful."

Yet another Democratic Politician has left the Party

Last rural Democrat in Kentucky senate leaves party, growing GOP supermajority

An Eastern Kentucky state senator has switched party affiliations from Democrat to Republican, strengthening the GOP's supermajority hold in the legislature.
Sen. Robin Webb, who represents Senate District 18, announced in a press release that she is leaving the Democratic Party because it “has increasingly alienated lifelong rural Democrats like myself by failing to support the issues that matter most to rural Kentuckians."
"As the Democratic party continues its lurch to the left and its hyperfocus on policies that hurt workforce and economic development in my region, I no longer feel it represents my values," Webb said in the release. "It has become untenable and counterproductive to the best interests of my constituents for me to remain a Democrat.”

The Criminal Records of the illegal immigrants arrested in LA

California sanctuary politicians and rioters are defending heinous illegal alien criminals including child pedophiles and other violent criminal illegal aliens at the expense of Americans' safety.

WASHINGTON - Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released more information about some of the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens arrested during the ongoing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Los Angeles. These arrests occurred on June 8 despite violent riots and assaults on ICE law enforcement.

“These heinous criminals, including child abusers and pedophiles, are some of the illegal aliens arrested yesterday in Los Angeles. Why do Governor Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass care more about violent criminal illegal aliens than they do about protecting their own citizens?” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “These rioters in Los Angeles are fighting to keep rapists, murderers, and other violent criminals loose on Los Angeles streets. Instead of rioting, they should be thanking ICE officers who every single day wake up and make our communities safer.”

Below is a list of some of the violent criminal illegal aliens arrested in ICE’s Los Angeles Operation on Sunday:

Federal immigration raid at Omaha meat production plant sparks annoyance from corporate management

Chad Hartmann, president of the food packaging company, said the front office was stunned by the aggressive nature of federal officials’ raid and confused by why the company was targeted.

“My biggest issue is: why us?” Hartmann said. “We do everything by the book.”

The plant uses E-Verify, the federal database used to check the immigration status of employees. When he said as much to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers who carried out the raid, they told him the E-Verify system “is broken.”

“I mean, what am I supposed to do with that?” Hartmann said. “This is your system, run by the government. And you’re raiding me because your system is broken?”

CEO and owner Gary Rohwer told WOWT in Omaha he wasn’t made aware of the operation ahead of time. He said federal agents entered the plant with a list of 97 people they wanted to screen.

About 70 people were taken away in buses with the windows blacked out, Favila said.

Meatpacking plants rely heavily on immigrant workers who are willing to do the physically demanding work. The industry has not yet been the focus of President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement efforts, but the administration has been intensifying its efforts in recent weeks.

Does man have a freewill ?

Does man have a freewill ?

I'm not asking does man have a will, sure he does. God created man with a will, and man has a responsible and accountable will that God gave him at creation. However the question remains, does man have a freewill ?

Man though he has a will, his will isn't free from Gods Sovereign Will and Purpose. Mans will is always subservient to Gods Sovereign Purpose !

I'm going to share some scripture which without doubt, indicate that mans will is subservient to Gods Will of Purpose.

Dan 4:34-35

34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

Prov 16:9

9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

Prov
19:21

21 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.

Jer 10:23

23 O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

These are just a few verses, there are many more !

Annialationism

I have been an evangelical Christian most of my life (I'm 77). About 10 years ago I read an article about Annialationism (The belief that sinners are annialated rather than experiencing eternal torment. I have become a solid believer in this theory for two reasons:
#1 - I never could accept that sending people to eternal punishment fit God's nature. Like one man said in a video I watched, "that would make God worse than a trillion Hitlers". It just doesn't fit.
#2 - I believe the proof for Annialationism is so straight forward that I can't imagine how today's church missed it.

The answer lies in the history of the Catholic Church and specifically the history of Pope Gregory 1st. Here is what Catholic church says about its own history:

The Catholic Church recognizes Pope Gregory the Great's writings, specifically his "Dialogues," as influential in the development of understanding about the afterlife, including Hell. His writings contributed to the distinctions made between different realms of the afterlife, including an "upper hell" associated with the underworld and the Bosom of Abraham, and a "lower Hell" for eternal punishment. The Catholic Church generally defines Hell as a state of self-exclusion from God, a consequence of freely and definitively choosing not to repent and accept God's mercy.

He believed that Purgatory was a place where souls could be purified from their last sins before entering heaven. This doctrine has been a cornerstone of the Roman Catholic Church's beliefs on the afterlife. Gregory's influence extended beyond his papacy, as he was instrumental in shaping the Church's understanding of the Christian faith and its teachings on Hell and Purgatory.

Jesus DID NOT USE the word "Hell"! Hell was not in the original Bible manuscript. Jesus was probably using the word Gehenna, which is place outside of Jerusalem where dead bodies were burned up to prevent disease. The idea of "an eternal flame" is no more that the flames at Gehenna. Men stoked the fires there day and night for many years. Jesus was simply saying that sinners would be perish. John 3:16 backs that up: "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not PERISH but have everlasting life" Jesus didn't say that sinners would suffer eternal torment! He said they would PERISH. And there are a number of other scriptures that talk about sinners perishing. The idea of ETERNAL TORMENT and the word HELL were not used in the Bible, either in the Old Testament or the New Testament.

Somehow the church of Jesus has been blinded. It's right in front of the leaders but they refuse to look at the proof. Just start by looking at Pope Gregory! The answer is there. He was considered by the church to be "great" but in fact, he was a demon in robes.

Cardinal Ambongo appeals to Trump: ‘Africa is important to the U.S.’

Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo is asking U.S. President Donald Trump to reinstate foreign aid to Africa.

“Targeted humanitarian aid for Africa is urgently needed, morally good, and of great strategic value to the U.S,” Ambongo, the archbishop of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, wrote in a June 8 op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal.

“President Trump has made clear that he will put the needs of his country and its citizens first before attending to the needs of the world. No leader of a nation as great as the U.S. could do otherwise,” the cardinal stated. “It would be a mistake, however, for Mr. Trump to forget about Africa.”

Ambongo highlighted Africa’s rich natural resources and “bright entrepreneurial and eager young people” as important assets to the U.S., emphasizing the utility of a relationship between Africa and the United States.

Midrash "Naso" (Numbers 4:21-7:89) Service in the Tabernacle, Our service in the Body of Messiah

Torah/Bible portion and Study: "Naso" (take) Numbers 4:21-7:89

This week's portion of Torah/Bible study is centered on the jobs and service of the Levites in the Tabernacle (Mishkan). As we read, we will note that the families of Gershon, Merari, and Kohat have been selected for different tasks in the setting up and taking down, transporting, and setting up again. Remember that the Children of Israel will be taking their journeys in the desert for 40 years (not the original plan of God) but due, to negativity, and rebellion, (the 12 spies) they had to spend 40 years wandering, (but always being guided) by God.

It is interesting to note the roots of the names; Gershon, Merari, and Kohat, as they tell us a story, our story as well. "Gershon" (Ger) a sojourner, "Merari"(maror) Bitterness, and "Kohat" (Kahal) congregation. We are all "sojourners" on this planet called "Earth" because our permanent home is the New Jerusalem, the City of God, and while we go through "bitterness" in our lives, we are still united together by our congregations. Israel wandered in the desert, enduring times of "bitterness" yet still united as ONE people (Am Echad) by the ONE true God (Adonai-Elohim)

The families of Levi were in charge of the service of the Tabernacle (Avodah) is the Hebrew word for "Service" and each of the three families had specific jobs or tasks (Mishmeret) as the Hebrew states in 4:28. Some were to carry the Tabernacle furniture on their shoulders by poles, (being covered at all times) others had the job of taking down the curtains and poles, putting them on carts (also covered) drawn by pairs of oxen. 4 pairs of oxen in all, and 4 carts. They would do this at the commencement of every move, and they would put up the Tabernacle at the next campsite.

These were specific jobs and tasks that God assigned them through the guidance and instruction of Moses. Everyone had a job to do within the service of the Tabernacle. We, as born-again believers, in the body of Messiah, also have jobs and tasks to do as part of "service" There are many gifts of the Spirit that enable us to perform our tasks; Ref: 1 Corinthians 4-11; Romans 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:11-16.

Some believers have the gifts of teaching, while others have that of evangelism, others are pastors and rabbis, and others have the gift of service, intercession, prayer warriors, music, healing, tongues (the ability to speak different languages), and the list can go on, we could expand to missionary aviation pilots, missionary doctors, and nurses, etc.

"Prophecy" is mentioned, and that would come under "teaching" of the WORD. We may not be biblical prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, or Daniel, but those who teach are in the role of prophets. The prophets of old received the Word from God to relay to the people. There were no Bible bookstores back then, so the only source of God's Word came from the mouths of the prophets. We DO have God's Word in print, so, as teachers, we need to convey and interpret the Word of God accurately within (hopefully) the original Hebraic perspective so that those who listen can understand well.

So, being in the body of Messiah Yeshua/Jesus, we all perform and partake in "service" (Avodah) and perform our tasks (Mishmeret) The root of that word is "Mishmor" or the verb "Sh+m+r" (Hebrew verbs consist of three letters) in this case, we could say "Shmar" (to guard or protect) We are guarding and protecting our "service" from the attacks of the enemy (Satan) who wishes to destroy us. In the word "Avodah" there are the letters "AD" which means "witness" There are always witnesses to our service, the angels in Heaven and also, unclean spirits (demonic entities) are watching with rage, wishing to devour and thwart our work. Waiting to throw a monkey wrench into the machinery.

So, just as the families of the Levites were counted and performed their duties in ministry, so we ALL are counted and selected to perform our spiritual gifts within the body of Messiah. We ALL work for the common GOOD as we are all ONE in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus our LORD and Savior)

Chapter 5 deals with expelling from the camp those with skin diseases (Tzara'at) We wonder why. Wouldn't that be cruel? Yet we need to understand the deeper reason. Many times, spiritual rebellion and impurity result in physical revelation. The physical body reveals to others the inner rebellion, gossip, slander, backbiting, hatred, etc. So, as the LORD walks in the camp, YHVH is All Holy, and these people need to taken outside the camp until their diseases are gone, until they repent, and then a priest will examine them, and if they are clean, they will be brought back inside the camp. We can't say that ALL skin diseases result from "Leshon Hara" (evil speech) but there is evidence that in many cases, that was the case.

As believers, we need to be holy inside, have pure thoughts, and walk like the MASTER, being careful never to slander, or speak evil of others, especially those of the faith. Who knows if the "rash" that itches is a result of something like that?

Chapter 6 deals with the "Nazir" or the "Nazarite vow" Back then, a person would "vow" to serve the LORD for "x" amount of months or years. Not cut his hair, not to drink wine or eat grapes, and not to touch any corpse. Samuel was a nazir, and Samson was a nazir. Paul took the "Nazarite vow" to prove to those around him that he lived by the Torah.

Today, we might set aside a period to serve the LORD in some special capacity, for "x" amount of months or years. It doesn't mean we have to let our hair grow or abstain from wine or grape juice, but just be serious in what we wish to do, and honor our word to serve God, according to how the Holy Spirit leads us. But it doesn't mean to go and be a hermit alone on some mountaintop, away from people. Ministry and service is all about PEOPLE.

Also, chapter 6 is where we find the Aaronic Blessing. What is it saying to us? MAY YHVH BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU

This is written in the Hebrew “singular” YOU not the plural YOU, because Israel, and all believers today are as ONE (Echad) in unity and ONE in fellowship, Adonai KEEPS us by “guarding us against curses and calamity, against sickness, poverty, He delivered our souls from the curse of sin, through Yeshua HaMashiach. HOWEVER, we can, through rebellion, bring on to ourselves these curses!

MAY YHVH MAKE HIS FACE SHINE UPON YOU AND BE GRACIOUS UNTO YOU. The idea of “shine” is happiness, purity, and friendship so, May “P’nei (faces of) Adonai” bring happiness to you and keep you pure “tahor” and bring to you many friends, also GRACIOUS is from the Hebrew “Chen” (grace) something that is not merited, by GRACE we are saved, not by our own merit, He showed us the “Face of Grace” in YESHUA HaMASHIACH who is our YESHUAH (salvation)

LIFT UP HIS COUNTENANCE UPON YOU AND GIVE YOU PEACE. May YHVH give his “attention” to you and direct to you, and may you rest in HIS SHALOM! When we have Yeshua as Mashiach, we have that internal shalom, despite the world around us being in a lot of “unrest”

So THEY SHALL PUT MY NAME ON THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL AND I WILL BLESS THEM. We can see that one of the names of God which is EL, is part of the name “YisraEL” and the most sacred name; YHVH is part of “Y’HUdaH (Judah)

The blessing is for all believers since we have all been grafted into the Community/Commonwealth of Israel.

Shalom.

“React Or Respond?
Acts 16:23-25 NIV
After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

This passage came up in my devotional morning time the other day. Acts is one of my most favorite books of the Bible as we read about the start of the early church and how passionate people were and how fast the church grew.

This specific story of Paul and Silas in prison always amazes me. The part I am most amazed by is right after verse 24. They’ve been thrown into prison and beaten severely.

PAUSE
If I were in their shoes, I know that I would be frustrated about my situation and probably looking at others, giving them a look of “Can you believe what they just did to us?” Then once in the cell, I know for sure I’d be going through the whole scenario in my head and thinking “What did we do wrong? How could we have avoided that? Can you believe they would do such a thing to us? I think we should file a report and complain to someone about how we were treated.”

UNPAUSE
No, Paul and Silas did NOT do anything I just described above. They started praying and singing! What??? How could they possibly have that attitude? Aren’t they upset about what happened? They’ve just been severely mistreated and all they do is start singing and praying.

When I think of this story, I think about how often I find myself reacting to situations instead of responding as I should. When we react to something, we tend to not think rationally and we go off on some tangent and often say things we don’t mean. However, when we respond, we’re often thinking through the situation, taking a few moments to gather our thoughts and figure out the best way to handle what is going on.

I would encourage all of us to work on responding instead of reacting. It’s so easy to just react, but we should focus more to respond with a loving heart and gestures that minister to others around us. It was a pivotal moment for Paul and Silas in what they did after they were beaten. Look what God did!!! And, look what God could and can do when we let Him use us in situations to respond instead of react.

Responding almost always seems to land us in a better outcome.

‘A Dark Day for New York’

EDITORIAL: If Catholic Gov. Kathy Hochul signs the bill, as she is expected to do, New York’s doctors will have been granted a license to kill some of their state’s most vulnerable and marginalized residents.

Let’s pull no punches — Monday was an utterly tragic day for New York State and for the entire nation.

The reason: The Empire State’s Legislature has now passed a bill legalizing so-called “medically assisted suicide.” As a result, if Gov. Kathy Hochul signs the bill as expected, New York’s doctors will have been granted a license to kill some of their state’s most vulnerable and marginalized residents.

Writing in National Review, Catholic journalist and pro-life advocate Kathryn Jean Lopez rightly compared what her home state has just done to its disastrous decision to legalize abortion in 1970.

As in the case of abortion, New York isn’t breaking new ground all by itself when it comes to sanctioning assisted suicide, the other hallmark Culture of Death legislative action. Eleven other states and the District of Columbia have done so earlier. But for better or for worse, New York remains the nation’s opinion leader, so legalizing this kind of medicalized killing carries a particularly heavy weight when it happens there.

Deep Rivers Church in Hummelstown, PA

Hi everyone, something interesting- I have found a little church in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania called Deep Rivers Church. For some reason I really like it there, I love it, it may be the presence of God in the church or the anointing on the church! Every time I walk in the door I sense the presence of an angel in the narthex, it is a spiritual force from God, it has helped me out several times, several times I was ill when I walked in the door but I snapped out of it when I walked in! It also helped me get connected with some people in the congregation! If you are ever in Hummelstown, PA you might want to pay them a visit, they are right across the street from the high school, Lower Dauphin High School!

Rallies protesting ICE raids and the government's immigration policies have been planned across California and beyond this week. A series of so-called No Kings demonstrations is planned nationwide for Saturday.

Prediction: Widespread assaults on law enforcement, arson, vandalism, looting, freeway shutdowns and the like throughout the summer all over the US.
