I want to say thank you!

I just wanted to give a big thank you to my brothers and sisters in the Singles forum today! Going through my old posts on CF has reminded me of just how kind you've been to me over the years. You talked to me, listened to what I had to say, complimented me, and helped me out so many times, even if I didn't deserve it. You are all amazing and I'm glad to know you and have your friendship. God bless you, my friends! :purpleheart:

Well, why not? Ye did it, successfully.

I don't think I can carry on at my church with integrity

This was the first week of Lent at my local methodist church. It seems that the work of Christ in atonement and salvation has almost completely given way to calls for social justice activism.
SJ hymns like "In an Age of Twisted Values" (which we sang) just make me very uncomfortable indeed. Where is the cost to God the Father in giving up His Son, who took on Himself the sin of mankind? Are our leaders embarrassed by religion, by the supernatural? We are told we are ALL on a journey, implying there is no point of finally giving in and acknowledging that we are sinners, deserving of eternal separation from a good, but Holy God and needing the indwelling Christ? Nor can it be said that the people know these truths but just need to be moved to good deeds. One lady said she never understood who the Holy Spirt is after years of attending.
I am very exercised. My wife and I feel very isolated theologically although we have made friends, but who just seem to go along with whatever is offered to them on a Sunday.

Frozen embryos are ‘children,’ Alabama Supreme Court rules in couples’ wrongful death suits

Three couples whose frozen embryos were destroyed when a wandering Mobile hospital patient dropped the specimens can sue for wrongful death because the embryos were “children,” the Alabama Supreme Court ruled Friday in reversing a judge’s decision to throw out the case.

The Wrongful Death of a Minor Act “applies to all unborn children, regardless of their location,” wrote Alabama Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell. “[T]he Wrongful Death of a Minor Act is sweeping and unqualified. It applies to all children, born and unborn, without limitation.

Article about the lower court ruling

“It is clear to this court, based on Alabama’s statutes and case law, that a strong belief in the sanctity of life has not prevented the Alabama Supreme Court from recognizing and upholding our legislature’s clear pattern of using the term in utero” [emphasis original] when defining the unborn or minor child, including in the context of a wrongful death case,” Phillips wrote in her ruling Tuesday.

AL Supreme Court ruling

I gather the thrust of it is that the law says 'child', we've previously ruled that that includes 'unborn child', and that fits these frozen embryos.

If they'd left it there, it might not have had such a whiff of violating church-state separation, but the chief justice's special concurrence wanders off to quote Aquinas, Calvin, van Mastricht, and the Bible (KJV).

In summary, the theologically based view of the sanctity of life adopted by the People of Alabama [the state constitution literally has a "Sanctity of Life" amendment added in 2018] encompasses the following: (1) God made every person in His image; (2) each person therefore has a value that far exceeds the ability of human beings to calculate; and (3) human life cannot be wrongfully destroyed without incurring the wrath of a holy God, who views the destruction of His image as an affront to Himself.

The People of Alabama have declared the public policy of this State to be that unborn human life is sacred. We believe that each human being, from the moment of conception, is made in the image of God, created by Him to reflect His likeness. It is as if the People of Alabama took what was spoken of the prophet Jeremiah and applied it to every unborn person in this state: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, Before you were born I sanctified you." Jeremiah 1:5 ... Carving out an exception for the people in this case, small as they were, would be unacceptable to the People of this State, who have required us to treat every human being in accordance with the fear of a holy God who made them in His image.

From some of the dissents, pointing to originalism

In my judgment, the main opinion's view that the legal conclusion is "clear" and "black-letter law" is problematic because when the Wrongful Death of a Minor Act was first enacted in 1872, and for 100 years thereafter, IVF was not even a scientific possibility.
at the time the Wrongful Death of a Minor Act was enacted -- and long thereafter -- the term "unborn child" was only understood to refer to a child within its mother's womb.

It is not our role to expand the reach of a statute and "breathe life" into it by updating or amending it. It is also not our role to consider whether a law has become "stale" or "shelfworn."34 This is the same error made by those commentators who advocate for a living constitution and argue that the words in our Constitution should evolve over time.35

Instead, it is the role of the Legislature to determine whether a law is outdated (for instance, because of new technology) and, thus, requires updating. If our Court does "breathe life" into a law by expanding its reach, we short-circuit the legislative process and violate the Alabama Constitution's separation-of-powers clause.

China says it's not the right time for peace talks

I can't blame them one bit because Ukraine is losing territory. They are also aiding Russia in the fight. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
"The top Chinese diplomat delivered his response before the Munich Security Conference on Saturday. "There are not ripe conditions in place for parties to go back to the negotiating table," he announced in an on-stage interview.

"China has done a lot of constructive work and we will continue to play a positive role," he added. Noticeably, China has never outright condemned the war or Russia's invasion. Instead, it has issued a number of statements highlighting the role of NATO's expansions in leading up to the crisis."

National Republican Congressional Committee Chair, Rep. Richard Hudson, R-NC Touts GOP Diversity Efforts in Attracting Candidates as 'Winning Formula'

The National Republican Congressional Committee Chair, Rep. Richard Hudson, R-N.C., named a swath of candidates he told reporters fit the "formula" needed for the GOP to add to its fleet in November, the Associated Press reported. Those candidates included Prasanth Reddy, a cancer doctor and veteran who migrated to the United States from India who's running for a seat in northeast Kansas; Alison Esposito, a gay police detective and congressional candidate in New York; and Kevin Lincoln, a Black American and Hispanic California mayor running in the state.

“We beat 15 Democrats [in 2022] and every one of those we beat with a woman, a minority candidate or a veteran,” Hudson said. “That’s really been the playbook for the last two cycles. And so we’re using that same formula.”

“The motivation is we want our Congress to reflect America. And we believe that if we have dynamic candidates with compelling life stories, then they can win any district because they are not generic Republicans,” Hudson told the outlet.

OTOH

Mazi Pilip was the Republican congressional candidate running for the Nassau County seat and a near-perfect model of the NRCC strategy.

Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., ripped Pilip after her loss, saying during an appearance on Newsmax, "it turns out DEI isn’t a real good strategy for Republican candidate recruitment."

Doctrine Of Demons: The Genderless Society

Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.

The Lord's statement suggests that the heavenly angels are a genderless community. While the angels loyal to the Lord are our allies, the angels of rebellion, or demons, make every effort to impose contrary doctrines on the minds and hearts of man.

1 Timothy 4:
1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith,
giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created
to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

It would be highly unlikely that Paul stating "kolyo gameo" which is translated "forbidding to marry" is against celibacy and the decision to remain single to serve the Lord, as even Paul himself made that commitment. What we are seeing in these latter days is a prominent move toward a society without gender differences.
Those who respect God's creation of male and female are derided for their "binary thinking" and there is even an assault on the use of pronouns publicly. There is a move towards banning sex in procreation with all reproduction limited to a "scientific laboratory method". While much of this would be considered the work of sci-fi and not government policy, the idea has been inculcated, particularly in the minds of the younger generation. Just another "sign of the times" in which we live.

CIA Destabilizes the World

America has destabilized the world and because of the meddling, we are at a point where the whole world hates us. This does not include President decisions to invade Iraq and Libya.

When President Dwight Eisenhower decided that Africa’s rising political star, democratically elected Patrice Lumumba of Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo), was the “enemy,” the CIA conspired in his 1961 assassination, thus undermining the democratic hopes for Africa. He would hardly be the last African president brought down by the CIA.

Since 1975, the CIA has run secretive operations backing Islamic jihadists in Afghanistan that utterly wrecked Afghanistan while giving rise to al-Qaeda.

In the case of Syria, we learned from a few stories in the New York Times in 2016 and 2017 of the CIA’s subversive operations to destabilize Syria and overthrow Assad, as ordered by President Barack Obama. Here is the case of a dreadfully misguided CIA operation, blatantly in violation of international law, that has led to a decade of mayhem, an escalating regional war, hundreds of thousands of deaths, and millions of displaced people, and yet there has not been a single honest acknowledgment of this CIA-led disaster by the White House or Congress.

In the case of Ukraine, we know that the U.S. played a major covert role in the violent coup that brought down Yanukovych and that swept Ukraine into a decade of bloodshed but to this day, we don’t know the details. Russia offered the world a window into the coup by intercepting and then posting a call between Victoria Nuland, then U.S. Assistant Secretary of State (now Under-Secretary of State) and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt (now Assistant Secretary of State), in which they plot the post-coup government. Following the coup, the CIA covertly trained special operations forces of the post-coup regime the U.S. had helped bring to power. The U.S. government has been mum about the CIA’s covert operations in Ukraine.

Why not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together?

Deuteronomy 22:

11 Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together.
More generally, in Leviticus 19:

19b Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.
God gave these ceremonial laws to the Israelites to separate their practices from the Gentiles'.

Why not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together today?

There is no NT law against that. We are free to do so.

China Escalates Border Dispute with Taiwan

With Taiwan’s January elections giving a different result than mainland China had hoped for, the PRC has introduced a new scheme that has the potential to have disastrous international consequences: the change of routine air traffic control procedure. As a result, there is now passive-aggressive weaponization of civilian air traffic in the contested Taiwan Strait.

Any pilot or air traffic controller would find the Chinese changes concerning. Route M503 is the southbound route air traffic uses to fly to the left or west of the line separating Chinese and Taiwan airspace. M503 also feeds two right turns (W122 and W123) that go to Chinese mainland airports but almost fly over Matsu and Kinmen, two Taiwanese counties only thousands of feet off China’s coast. In a move of political escalation, China has now moved the M503 route right up against the line of separation in the Taiwan Straits.

Retribution for enemies, Restoration for the Faithful

Amos 5:4-9 These are the Words of the Lord to the people of Israel: Seek the Lord, if you want to live, or He will sweep through Joseph’s descendants like a fire with no one to quench it.
The people of Israel: Not only the Jewish Israelis, but all the Israelites by faith, the overcomers for God. Galatians 3:26-29, seen in each of the seven Church’s of Revelation.

Amos 5:10-15 You that despise the truth, you that extort tribute, though you have fine buildings and beautiful farms, you will not enjoy them. For I know of your crimes and monstrous sins – but at this time, keep silent, because now are evil times. You must hate evil and love good and it may be that the Lord will show favour to the survivors of Joseph. Joseph = the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, now scattered among the Western nations. Proved by the Promises received. Deuteronomy 33:13-17

Amos 5:16-17 Therefore the Lord says: In the towns and in all the world, there will be mourning and sorrow, for I will pass through your midst.
This refers to the Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath, the next prophesied, worldwide event; the Sixth Seal Day of the Lord’s wrath. Rev 6:12-17

The fallen House of David will be restored as it was long ago.
The time is coming when the Land will be prosperous, My people will live in their own Land, eating and drinking the abundant produce. They will never again leave the Land that I, the Lord, have given to them.

Look forward to the great promises of restoration and going to live in all of the holy Land, for My people, now every faithful Christian believer: the true Israelites of God. Reference: REB, NIV, KJV. Some verses abridged.

Freaking out. Frequent deja vu.

Backstory, all the way back in grade 1 I had a big seizure. Was diagnosed with epilepsy and have been fine ever since. Over a decade later I have never had another seizure and have been declared seizure free. There also isn’t a family history of seizures at all. However last may I started to experience these intense episodes of Deja vu. They lasted about 4-10 seconds. And I started to freak out about temporal lobe epilepsy. Fast forward almost a year and I now can’t go an hour without getting one. I have seen two neurologists, both have said that they think I’m fine, I have had an eeg run, and it came back clean. And I ALSO talked to my family doctor who happens to also have a masters in neurology, so she knows a thing or two, and she ALSO said I’m probably fine. But I can’t help but panic. I have never experienced Deja vu before and now I’m suddenly experiencing it. I’m terrified, just waiting to drop into a seizure. Has anyone else experienced this from just anxiety??

A prayer for my life

Hi to everyone, my name is Jason and I'm from Minnesota USA and want to introduce myself here. I have fallen from grace of God and I may have ruined my life from an addiction that I have no one to blame but myself and hope and pray that it does not ruin my life, but if this is God's will for it to ruin my life then I accept it. I repent from my sins and really, really hope and pray that God can forgive me and save my life of my addiction. This has deeply affected me and hope i can come out of this with hope and my life. I am in deep sorrow and pain right now and need all the help I can get.

I have given my life to Christ many years ago but have not followed much since then and let my addiction get the best of me and I "really hope and pray" it does not ruin my life but it is not fully decided yet that it will but I will know within a week or so and I just really need all the prayers and support I can get as this will change my life either way but hopefully it will change it for the better and give me new hope and life.

Thank you all feel free to ask me any questions but I cant talk to much of my addiction , just looking mostly for support and prayers.

Thank you so much
Love and mercy
Jason

Is anyone aware that a fungal infection is spreading in the USA? It is also resistant to medication.

"A deadly fungal infection called Candida auris, with a death rate of 60 percent, is spreading rapidly across the US. It comes as Washington confirmed its first cases last month."

Why should we believe the Bible is the result of God speaking truthfully rather than advanced aliens tricking us for our own good?

The books that comprise the Bible were written from the late Bronze Age [...] the various characters can often be verified by extrabiblical historical writings [...] This means that God did not speak through myths but in real history.
-- Pacwa, M (2011). How to Listen When God is Speaking. Frederick, MD: The Word Among Us Press. p. 14.

Can't the Bible also be explained by advanced aliens tricking humans? Doesn't this hypothesis contain more explanatory power as it also accounts for God's absence, silence, and refusal to grant personal petitions? Why should we believe the Creator of our reality interacted with those people rather than deceitful ancient aliens?

On anxiety

orthodox only please
So I think I may have postpartum hormone issue or postpartum thyroid issue going on. I’ll be calling my doctor on Monday no worries.
however in the meantime, the anxiety caused by it makes me wonder some things.

so I have read about anxiety being the work of the evil one and read some Saints words on anxiety. I have also read this interesting article on depression (Depression. According to the Fathers. | A Russian Orthodox Church Website) which is one of the few articles I’ve found on anxiety caused by hormones.

I feel guilty, panicky and anxious. The brain fog and anxiety is not helping me figure out what is from the enemy or from myself. Intrusive thoughts and intrusive images dont help either.

For example, I worry about pride and false humility. Or not praying out of love but obligation. or doubt. or if my prayers are selfishly motivated. These things bother me.

I do have follow nightly routine of reading the saints and Bible readings for the day. I use the app OrthoPrax which has quotes, homilies and sermons I read as well.

I guess I’m wondering does anybody sometimes have these thought?

Presbyterian PCA church

I found a church online that is near my home that is Presbyterian PCA and wanted to know what the main difference would be between that group and other denominations like Baptist or Methodist? It looks like it is one of the more conservative parts of the Presbyterian church.
If I did go in person would I be allowed to take part in the Lord's Supper? Or is that only for members?

Shoes

Read Luke 10:1-4

... no sandles (shoes)...

When Jesus sent out the 72 he told them no sandles. They would have been barefoot.
I love that as I like barefoot walking. It is a very humbling thing to do, and really connects you with where you are.

* Why do you think Jesus instructs ministering Christians to go barefoot?
Do you?

I think you should!

Perfect Thunder

Be ye perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. - Matthew 5:48

If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. - James 3:2

"This is the glorious privilege of every Christian, yea, though he be but a babe in Christ. But it is only of grown Christians it can be affirmed, they are in such a sense perfect, as, Secondly, to be freed from evil thoughts and evil tempers. First, from evil or sinful thoughts. Indeed, whence should they spring? ‘Out of the heart of man,’ if at all, ‘proceed evil thoughts.’ If, therefore, the heart be no longer evil, then evil thoughts no longer proceed out of it: For ‘a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit.’
“Thus doth Jesus save his people from their sins, not only from outward sins, but from the sins of their hearts. ‘True,’ say some, ‘but not till death, not in this world.’ Nay, St. John says, ‘Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because, as he is, so are we in this world.’ The Apostle here, beyond all contradiction, speaks of himself and other living Christians, of whom he flatly affirms, that, not only at or after death, but ’ in this world,’ they are ‘as their Master.
’" John Wesley

I've been researching for 39 years, and will say with absolute confidence in the LORD, that the Christian doctrine of holiness, sanctification, and perfection is a real and solid Bible teaching. "Be ye holy, for I am holy." "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man can see the LORD." (Hebrews 12
Contemporary Christianity has adopted a bunch of phrases, cliches, and even whole teachings that are not in the Bible. "No one's perfect," is one. But the Bible doesn't teach that. It teaches we can be perfect, and wouldn't say such things if it wasn't attainable. By saying no one can be perfect is calling Jesus a liar, his half brother James a liar, the Apostle Paul a liar, and King David a liar. You are also calling the LORD, Yahweh Himself a liar, who declared Job to be perfect. But I understand, because this is how so many have been taught by modern day preachers. The Sacred Word of God is whittled down, watered down, and when such occurs, Christians live in weak states, suffering, and struggling, because the power hath been denied. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.

Job 1:1, "There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil."
In Job the word "Tam" is used: it means perfect, complete, wholesome, morally innocent, having integrity, one who is morally and ethically pure.
Even after Satan afflicts Job the first time, after the LORD declares him perfect in Job 1:8, and the Word says "In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." (Job 1:22). Then the Scripture says, "And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause." (Job 2:3)
Job 2:10, after the second affliction, and the confrontation with his wife, the Word says "In all this did not Job sin with his lips."
Now Job was a perfect man. Not only does the narrator say it, but the LORD Yahweh Himself says it! We've already seen from James if you can keep your lips, and offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.

Psalm 101:1-4, "I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person."
Here 2 words are used for perfect, "tamim" - integrity, truth, without spot, complete, innocent, unimpaired. Where it says "a perfect heart" that word is "tom" which means integrity, completeness, fulness, moral innocence, perfection.
Now backing up to Matthew and James, the opening verses: in both the word "teleios" is used for "perfect." It means, wanting nothing necessary to completeness, perfect, consummate human integrity and virtue, complete (in various applications of labor, growth, mental and moral character, etc.)

Philippians 3:12-16 - Here Paul himself admits he hasn't attained, but he presses toward the mark; then he says "as many as be perfect, be thus minded," in verse 15,
" Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you."
Now it be true that sometimes the Greek means "mature" as well as the other attributes of the word, but as often it, as well as the Hebrew means perfect in actions, and in a moral sense, as previously seen.

Another popular phrase: "We all sin: we're all gonna sin. We sin every day." The Bible teaches rather, that all HAVE sinned, and none are without sin, for we are born in sin, and have sinned, and in the flesh we inherited a sin nature from Adam. But once we are born again, we put on the new man, we get a new nature, old has passed away, all has become new. that is, we are a new creature in Christ. You grow in Christ, and press forward toward that mark Paul talked about, to a life free from sin.
We see this principle in Romans 6:1-7,
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin."
So, if we are dead, and freed from sin, why do we want to resurrect that old man, as if we are helpless but to let him live, and become a zombie as it were, the living dead, believing Christ for life, yet walking in a dead mans corpse; ie, the old man.
For you see, if we believe we're all gonna sin, and that we sin every day, then we probably will, but then so much of 1 John would have to be torn from the Bible!

1 John 2:1 - the first part of the verse precedes the "and IF any man sin we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. But before he says that he writes "THESE THINGS, that YE SIN NOT. And, he writes , IF, not when you sin, but if, in case you do.
How about the next few verses? Keep His commandments, then you know Him. If you say you know Him and don't keep His commandments, you are a liar, and the truth is not in you. Period. No wiggle room to worm your way out, because to do so, you're looking for excuses to sin, and I fully understand; even empathise with you if you feel that way, because I was also deceived by the modern way of teaching the Bible, and I always fell flat on my face, sometimes literally, I was so intoxicated!

Even those who are sincere, who don't fall into sin themselves, but still adhere to an easy grace gospel full of compromise, it seems many who sit under their teaching are carnal, or indifferent, because a friendly, neatly packaged Gospel is presented, but the Thunder and the Fire are missing! We do not see many radical transformations. The Bible says the yoke is destroyed because of the anointing (Isaiah 10:27). But where is the anointing?

Jonathan Edwards wrote, "When God hath opened a very large treasure before us, for the supply of our wants, and we thank him that he hath given us so much; if at the same time we be willing to remain destitute of the greatest pare of it, because we are too lazy to gather it, this will not show the sincerity of our thankfulness. We are now under much greater advantages to acquire knowledge in divinity, than the people of God were of old, because since that time the canon of Scripture is much increased. But if we be negligent of our advantages, we may be never the better for them, and may remain with as little knowledge as they.
Consider the advantages you are under to grow in the knowledge of divinity. We are under far greater advantages to gain much of this knowledge now, than God's people under the Old Testament, both because the canon of Scripture is so much enlarged since that time, and also because evangelical truths are now so much more plainly revealed. So that common men are now in some respects under advantages to know more, than the greatest prophets were then. Thus that saying of Christ is in a sense applicable to us, Luke x. 23, 24. " Blessed are the eyes which see the things which ye see. For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them." We are in some respects under far greater advantages for gaining knowledge, now in these latter ages of the church, than Christians were formerly; especially by reason of the art of printing, of which God hath given us the benefit, whereby Bibles and other books of divinity are exceedingly multiplied, and persons may now be furnished with helps for the obtaining of Christian knowledge, at a much easier and cheaper rate than they formerly could." - Christian Knowledge
How much more so today can we say this! Not only the printing press, but electronic media. We have access to every writing at our fingertips via the internet, yet society seems to be in a dire spiritual state: a condition the prophets warned about would overtake us in the last days; perilous times, and times of false doctrine and seducing spirit, doctrines of devils.

George Whitefield wrote, "As God can send a nation or people no greater blessing than to give them faithful, sincere, and upright ministers, so the greatest curse that God can possibly send upon a people in this world, is to give them over to blind, unregenerate, carnal, lukewarm, and unskilled guides. And yet, in all ages, we find that there have been many wolves in sheeps’ clothing, many that daubed with untempered mortar, that prophesied smoother things than God did allow. As it was formerly, so it is now; there are many that corrupt the Word of God and deal deceitfully with it."

Liberal, watered down theology of our modern era is what slowly chiseled away at me, till I fell into all type of sin. Seek ye then true holiness and sanctification teaching.

1 John 3:2-10, all of it is good; all is important. Let's look at this: "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother."

Well, people say, "That means habitual sin." But the Bible doesn't say that, it uses the words harmatian, harmatanei & harmatanon. 1 John 3:4 has harmatian - 3:6 harmatanei & harmatanon. These can mean continual or practice of sin, but this is often used to excuse "little sins" or allow for occasional sin. You still have 1 John 2:1, that says "these things write I unto you that ye sin not." That means don't sin period. You also have 3:10 at the end of all this about whosoever sins knoweth not God, and it says "Whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God. "Righteousness" is "dikaiosunen" meaning judicial approval, divine approval, the approval of God") refers to what is deemed right by the Lord (after His examination), i.e. what is approved in His eyes.
So even if we stretch 1 John 3 to mean continuing in sin, practicing sin, living a life of sin, which we could based on the Greek, we still contend with 1 John 2:1 and 3:10. You still have to reconcile 1 John 2:4, keeping His commandments: " He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him," 2:6, "He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." All His commandments summed up in love IS the keeping of the 10 commandments from the heart. 4:16-17, "he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world." - His love is perfected in us.
How about 5:2, "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."

Questions I'd Like Answered

I have a few questions. Theres roughly 2 1/2 billion people in the world, who all profess to be Christian. roughly a third of our planets current population. But Jesus the Master over the Christian faith. and the one who would obviously know the truth of things, being that Hes the Son of the Most High God over the Heavens. Said only a few were actually finding eternity. (He didn't say there wasnt hope for the world. But in this Satanic System, few are getting past the deception and securing their eternity.)

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."
Matthew 7:13-14

So do you think you are one of the people who has actually found life? Well your spirit will testify to you, if you have.

But do you truly understand the Christian faith?

If you do, can you answer some very basic questions for me? for starters...

What exactly is a sin? I mean, it seems like a pretty important thing to understand. Since Jesus said go and sin no more. It might be important to understand what it actually is, a sin is. Can anyone define what a sin actually is. (Saying a sin is something bad, or something God doesnt like, or any other ambiguous answer. Is basically a none answer)

Can any of you, tell me any of the things Jesus commanded?

"However, the 11 disciples went to Galʹi·lee to the mountain where Jesus had arranged for them to meet. When they saw him, they did obeisance, but some doubted. Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things."
Matthew 28:16-20

I mean Jesus is the King right, and what a King commands, becomes the law. Jesus didn't issue suggestions. He didnt go around and say, I suggest you do this and I suggest you do that. He's the Great King, and he issued Commandments. And instructed all his followers to observe all the things he commanded. Can any of you tell me all the things He command He issued. I mean the word disciple, (means one who subjects themselves to the discipline) Becoming a disciple of Christ, is subjecting yourself to his authority and what He instructs and Commands. So do you know any of the things he commanded all his followers to obey and observe.

Ive found, not one church, that has anything Jesus commanded, posted anywhere.

If a person is a Christian, these question seem like 101? entry level.

Trump supporter Elena Cardone Created GoFundMe for Trump's Fine

This fundraiser, therefore, is not merely about raising the “ruling” amount. It's about making a stand. It's about showing that when one of us is targeted for championing the values that make America great, he does not stand alone. We stand with him, shoulder to shoulder, ready to support, defend, and fight back against a system that threatens to undermine the very foundations of our republic.
Now, more than ever, it's time for business owners and entrepreneurs to unite, to show our collective strength and resolve. Let's stand with Trump to ensure that justice prevails and that we continue to fight for a country that respects freedom, honors courage, and rewards the unwavering spirit of its people. [/indnet]

I'm surprised it's still up as GoFundMe prohibits raising money to pay off legal fines, I thought.
