  1. Money Problems, Yet Feeling Optimistic.

So far, I'm enjoying the week. Less money stress, in spite of our account negative again, and being home does seem to work better for my nerves. I know we aren't out of the woods yet, and for awhile Corey will need me to work, but at least I can work less. I'm ready to only be out of the house 2-3 days a week instead of the 5 I'm used to. I know eventually we'll get our debt paid off and our savings back up, and by the time the baby comes we'll be there. In the meantime, I'll help out a bit...
  2. Bass Amp Nativity

I just wanted to share a picture of the nativity God graced me with, all set up in my dorm. Very simple, very meaningful, and I thought others might like to see it, too. Please say a prayer in front of a nativity, even if it's just this picture of one. I find that prayers offered in front of the scene of our Savior's humble entry into our world is one of the most peaceful ways to pray.
  3. Tidbit

It seems to me mankind is all about self.. until it comes to blame. It seems to me that those with the least give others the most. Stubborn, aggressive, angry people were that way before they found a Christian 'faith' that fit their character... and unfortunately that fit encourages them to stay that way. © timothyu
  4. Another New Chapter

After doing the math, I've come to realize that I have now been on CF off and on for over 15 years now! I think I want to try sticking around for awhile this time, it was such a huge part of my teen years and I met some amazing people on here. It's not the same any more though. I think I'm one of the only ones left from my early days on here. All my homeschool buddies have moved on in life. So have I, in a way, but not to the point where I don't have a reason to come back here. I liked life...
  5. Thoughts On The Book Of Acts - Spread The Word

“Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.” Acts 8:4 (NIV) The eighth chapter of The Book of Acts begins with the turmoil in Jerusalem caused by the stoning death of the disciple Stephan. The followers of Jesus no longer felt safe in Jerusalem since Stephan was stoned to death for telling the Jewish religious leaders they murdered Jesus. All but the Apostles left the city and went elsewhere to spread the gospel. Evangelism is an important aspect of the church....
  6. Wait On The Lord.

I went through a mental battle the other day, and all i could do is wait on the Lord. This battle took my joy but not my strength, praise the Lord. Today i feel much better. I Feel like praising the Lord. (: The bible says those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength, and it says the joy of the Lord is our strength. Joy and strength are connected. Psalms 27:13 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the Lord;...
  7. Praise The Lord My Soul.

When im wrong He gives me grace When im sad he wipes the tears from my face When im lonely Hes my best friend The good shepherd in whom i can depend I was like a lost sheep and He found me I was like a blind man and now i see He is my my refuge, my hearts delight He is my savior, my eternal light
  8. Genesis 35:6-12

. ● Gen 35:6-7 . .Thus Jacob came to Luz-- that is, Bethel --in the land of Canaan, he and all the people who were with him. There he built an altar and named the site El-bethel, for it was there that God had revealed Himself to him when he was fleeing from his brother. Bethel is located approximately 11 miles directly north of Jerusalem. Jacob erected a stone cairn there when he left home; and gave the site its name: Bethel (House Of God). At least thirty years have gone by since then. He...
  9. Pattern Breaking Prayer

This prayer is inspired by John and Paul Sandford's (now deceased) writings on this subject. Their contention is that we invite certain treatment upon ourselves because of our expectations of how we will be treated. Now, I understand that this may be considered a controversial contention and I want to say upfront that no one is justified in their treatment of another because the other person was "asking for it." I also am not necessarily saying that one is "asking for" negative treatment but...
  10. Prayer To Do The Lord's Will And Not Your Own

There is a battle going on both within and without. Within the flesh rages against the spirit because the time of the former is short, therefore it wants to indulge in its carnal desires while it has the opportunity. Outside of our bodies the Devil and all of his minions are scheming and plotting to help our traitorous flesh to overcome our spirit man, that we may be sons of disobedience. As Paul says, "Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?" (Romans 7:24 ESV)....
  11. Family

My family visited our home today. My grandmother, my cousins Cody and Kelly and Kelly's husband Rodney and their two children baby Gabrielle and baby Trey, and my Aunt Yolanda. My brother Nathan also visited. It was lovely to see my family. I got to hold baby Gabrielle which was a treat. Caleb got to hold her too. It was a lovely day.
  12. Matthew 5

I read Matthew 5 verse 18, " And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him." The Lord told my soul that He will heal evil torturers. The Lord told my soul that He will heal them so that they become pure souls. The Lord told my soul that they will repent and pray for their victims and when they go to Heaven they will pray for their victim eternally, loving their victim.
