  1. Struggling With Covid

I'm probably around two years into remission but for whatever reason my immune system didn't get the message. My battles with pneumonia will be what gets me before the leukemia does. My wbc is slowly creeping back up, only 20k right now... Woot Woot. In January I ended up with covid and didn't think I was going to make it through. In March it hit me again though only around 75 percent as bad as the first time. June was round three and mild, now I'm on number four and it's mild also....
  2. The Calling

(A hymn in celebration of the calling that the Good Shepard Jesus makes to the world) Lord, You call to our echo chambers {1} Resonating Love Divine’s Compassion encouraging our surrender. How else shall we thus reply? How spurn we this initiation If by doing so hurts the soul? {2} Remnant, reconcile your station {3} With the Healing Christ, be whole! {4} Not by works lest any take stock In wee efforts of the flesh. {5} No: we take our refuge as flock In the Shepard’s righteousness. {6}...
  3. Goodness And Mercy

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever." (Psalms 23:6 NKJV) … David in the above text acknowledges the everlasting covenant God made with him: the sure mercies of David (Isaiah 55:3). He was aware of God's goodness and mercy. Goodness: The quality or state of being good (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). Goodness does not necessarily mean palatable. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who...
  4. Intimacy And Eucharist

This is a beautiful talk on our desire for intimacy, leading into the Eucharist, well worth the watch. This is a good video for Catholics, but also for non-Catholics to grow in understanding of what the Eucharist means.
  5. I Can Dance

I can dance I can dance Lord, or used to when young, those magic moments, (not nearly enough) when my body was light as air, yet overwhelmed with an inner fire, that put my fragile ego aside and I just let myself fly, sometimes I thought my heart would explode, but I did not stop the movement, allowing my soul to soar. Now that I am old, my body seems heavy, I can still move, but can't dance as I did back then, yet when I die, I will not sing, but dance before you for eternity expressing...
  6. Galatians 6 -- The Church's Declaration Of Independence

6 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. This book begins with Jesus rescuing us from this evil age and concludes with us being the ones to restore a person caught in sin. Paul was caught in sin when he was Saul of Tarsus and Ananias “restored him gently”. He was riding around the country seizing Christians and turning them over to the Jewish leaders to be tried and even stoned to death. He was blind, thinking he...
  7. It Is All Grace, Gift

It is all grace, gift My poverty is complete, my failures many, my joy is knowing that your mercy, love, and compassion, are infinite. Lord help me to know myself so as not to judge others. It is a great grace to be allowed to see and experience one's poverty, and to trust in God's mercy. We must love ourselves in Christ Jesus.--Br.MD
  8. At The End Of Our Lives, We Will Judged By Love

At the end of our lives, we will be judged by Love --St. John of the Cross Prayer is not just asking, it is about waiting in silence, learning to just be, not as easy as it sounds. Keep it simple, honest, childlike, even in the midst of deep inner suffering, confusion, and doubt. We are upheld in the hands of an infinite lover, God became man to show us, to tell us of that reality, embrace it, dive deeply into life, all things pass only love remains,--BrMD
  9. In The Beginning

The Word Became Flesh John 1:1-5 (NIV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. I was born in 1960 and against all odds, I was baptized in 1971 after visiting a Church of Christ. For 22 years...
  10. It Is Not About You!

Salvation does not equal: Claiming to have prayed a sinner’s prayer, water baptism, sacraments, tithes and offerings, becoming a member of a church, keeping the Sabbath, missionary work, and all other forms of works pressed upon those who are called and chosen according to the good purpose of the one true living Creator of all things, the Almighty God. “For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.” Romans 3:28 “For it is by grace you have been saved through...
  11. When You Are Afraid Of Your Father's House(8) - The System Of The World

The system of the world is governed by Satan. An understanding of this simple thought and revelation from the word will change your perspective of the world! For this is not an assertion that does not have it's backing in the word. I like to show that to you from scriptures because it's important to know that this present world in it's fallen state is not governed by God! How many times have we ignorantly blamed God for every ill and evil in our world? "If He is a loving God why is he...
  12. This Moment

This moment Each moment is precious lord. I often squander it. A moment once past will never return again. To embrace each moment is to embrace life. To embrace your quiet, hidden presence that upholds all.-Br.MD
  13. Why We Might Experience Hyperinflation

This blog entry looks at the exploding deficits of the U.S. and offers some evidence of hyperinflation that may match the hyperinflation in Pastor Dana Coverstone's prophetic dream (Attachment included). It offers potential evidence and ecnomic scenarios against the backdrop of COVID. Lastly, it affirms the need for Christians to be led of the Spirit.
  14. Pondering Mark 9:9-10

Mark 9:9-10 (EHV): 9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. 10 They kept the matter to themselves, discussing with one another what this “rising from the dead” meant. When I first put my head on my pillow to sleep at night, I ask myself if I have given adequate attention to the claims of Messiah Jesus during the day. I often have to admit "not", because I have not sought how to...
  15. Nahum -- God Is Not Mocked, Whatever You Sow You Shall Reap

1 A prophecy concerning Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite. The Lord’s Anger Against Nineveh In the book of Jonah we see an angry prophet warning the Ninevites, they repent, and God has mercy on them. But that repentance is short lived, and now Nahum tells us what is going to happen to them. Jonah is the “shot across the bow”, a warning shot. They saw a man, brought to their shores in the belly of a fish. It caused them to repent, but it was superficial, like the seed...
