  1. What's Special About The New Year(1)

Happy new year again to you and yours. 2019 will be your best year ever. This will be POWERTALK first teaching series for the year and hopefully by the time we are done with this we will have a great understanding of what lies ahead of us and we will be fully prepared for the adventure and the blessings that lie ahead in the next 360+days. What is it that makes the new year special? Or maybe there is really nothing special about the new year? Someone said the new year is just a change of...
  2. The Lord Is Good.

If the Lord can help me he can help anyone. Im filled with hope and joy, and peace. Yes im a complete mess but that doesnt matter, im new and i will look toward that instead of the old me. Sure i may not see that new man yet but thats why we walk by faith not sight. THis means we look at eternal things rather than temporary thing. Im so blessed. The eyes of my soul glisten with His light. My heart rejoices. Praise the Lord.
  3. Two Interesting Occurrences

It’s been awhile since I posted anything, but had two interesting things happen during my prayer time over the last few days that I wanted to write down before I forgot them. I (almost) always light candles during my prayer time, and if they go out in the middle of prayer I just leave them dark until I replace them the next day. Yesterday, one of the candles was almost used up, but I thought it would last the prayer session, so I lit it and it stayed lit for about 15 minutes before it went...
  4. Genesis 35:22b-29

. ● Gen 35:22b-26 . . Now the sons of Jacob were twelve in number. The sons of Leah: Reuben-- Jacob's first-born --Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun. The sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin. The sons of Bilhah, Rachel's maid: Dan and Naphtali. And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's maid: Gad and Asher. These are the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Paddan-aram. By the customs of that day, a maid's children sired by her mistress's husband, belonged to the mistress. So that Leah's...
  5. Dolls

I am working on my doll Emmalyn. I love her very much. She has long creamy blond hair. She is adorable. I am working on her hair now. I will be working on her clothing soon. I feel I may put her in a dress.
  6. Observations About The Mark Of The Beast...

Extra details gleaned from Rev. 13:16-18
  7. Mark 8

I read Mark 8 verse 31, " And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and the chief priest, and scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again." The Lord told my soul He was tortured because He was very beautiful and the Lord. The Lord told my soul that He suffered very much when he was tortured and that after He died He was raised into Heaven. The Lord told my soul that He protects torture victims and will heal each of them.
  8. Can't See The Kingdom For The Tares

While thinking about Christians who merrily spend their days making the religion over in mankind's image in order to justify their secular ways, I got to thinking about those dedicated to the examples set by the earliest followers, the Way. Regardless of how self sufficient or charitable, it seems to me that for them the lovers of neighbour/enemy as self, it is a no win situation here in earth. Consider homesteaders or as a better example, the Amish who live off the land and could handily...
  9. Church Growth Or Not

Why My Church is NOT Growing – Part 14 – “Authority” Introduction In this portion of our series on church growth or lack thereof, we examine the matter of “authority” in society and the church setting. GodsTruthInLove.org
  10. Thoughts On The Book Of Acts - The Awesome Power Of God

The awesome power of God seems to get overlooked by most people. The miracles performed by Jesus and His apostles are so long ago we tend to discount them as something of the past – something unavailable to us today. While there are some Christian denominations that believe healing powers are still present among believers, I have not seen any documented evidence. Before the New Testament was written, miracles were needed to spread the gospel; but now we have the written doctrine and that...
  11. Update Since Testimony

If you haven't read my testimony, you can find it here. :) Ever since I re-dedicated my life to Christ, I've been going through alot of research and decluttering throughout the house, little by little. I even discovered that reflexology is considered a practice of witchcraft! I had a few books on it and I honestly thought it helped and have applied it several times on myself and family members throughout the years. I regret to say that the first one I ever got was so worn it split in two....
  12. Genesis 35:21-22a

. ● Gen 35:21 . . Israel journeyed on, and pitched his tent beyond Migdal-eder. Although Israel is Jacob's spiritual name, it's also the name of his whole household (e.g. Gen 34:7) so that when Genesis says "Israel journeyed" it means everybody associated with Jacob was on the move. An important technicality to note is that Abraham and Isaac were no more Israelites than Noah was. The name Israel began with Jacob, and was carried forward by his sons. In its infancy, Israel was a family name...
  13. "therefore Submit To God." (in James 4:7)

"Therefore submit to God. " (in James 4:7) Now . . . how You have us submitting to you, submissive the way You mean for us to be submissive, not how we can get ourselves to feel and think we are submitting to You, O God our Father. Thank You so much :prayer::pray: We discover how we become because of You making us submissive to You in Your peace > how You personally rule each of us in our "hearts" in Your peace > "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were...
  14. Receiving Grace

Grace is not something we earn by coaxing God to reward.* And If to position oneself could justify such, it would only be because we sit at the feet of Jesus.** At His feet, in our hearts, then, by doing the same to others whom the Savior loves. Grace is to be with Messiah, by trust while on this earth, and until Heaven, despising denial. Grace is what we receive, when our distance from God has been squeezed to an arms-length, and we receive what is brought, the beautiful promises, as if...
  15. Doll Making

I am working on felt dolls for my family and friends. I did not give them to anyone for Christmas because I did not finish them. I am enjoying working on them. I am making a doll named Emmalyn for myself. She is a blond doll. Caleb is helping me. She is adorable. She will be a friend for all my dolls.
