Youth With A Mission

Hey all,

Jst wondering about Youth with a Mission. Im very interested in this organisation, since I myself am a young person and willing to serve the Lord.
I have met some people from YWAM. I find their ministry very exciting.
Does anyone know much about YWAM? Thanks for any input

I am in the process of applying right now!!! I think its sounds like one heck of an opportunity to serve God, and I think God really workes thru that organization!!!

There is a book out... I havae it you should look into it... its called Is that really you God. Its about how YWAM got started and what its all about.... puls its a really good read... I havent been able to put it down

YWAM is a really great experience. I went to YWAM Nashville Summer 2003 (anyone from there using christianforums? im from the jaffray church from toronto). Very life-changing.

I have never worked with YWAM but a couple months ago I was working at a restaurant and we had a couple from lithuania working with us and I tried to talk to them about Jesus but was unable because they didnt know english all that great so I began searching for some lithuania christian organizations and I sent out tons of emails asking for a bible tract etc... in lithuania I didnt hear a word for a month

Well then I recieved and email and this lady asked for my address about 2 weeks later I recieved a new testament bible a bible tract and a book (not sure what the book was about) and a business card of the lady in lithuania. She was apart of YWAM in lithuania and they were very kind to send me all that stuff free of charge.

I Like YWAM..
Basically my whole family has been to different Countries through it.

My Grandparents have been to Hawaii, India, Ukraine, Russia, England, Other places in Europe, and now they are in Latvia, leading a DTS school for the Russian people there.
my aunt and uncle were in India..
and the rest have only been to Russia.

My Parents joined this organization and went to Russia in 1996.. and i lived with them there for 6.5 yrs.. it was a great experience. My Mom and Dad are now school directers in Russia. Dad= SOFM (School of frontier Missions), Mom=SBS(School of Biblical Studies) both are great schools.

Are you planning to do a DTS? If so where are you applying? I work with YWAM as a full time missionary. Overall it is a great organization, it gives opportunities to young people.

I aint planning to do a DTS just yet. Gotta see where God is leading me first. Im at a bible college here in NZ, Faith Bible College in fact.

I have a passion for reaching out to youth, and hoping to be an effective witness to them.
The youth need alot of help today.

I have spent the last 8 years with my parents working with YWAM.

In the next couple of years I will be doing a DTS.

Hey there if you are thinking about trying your hand at missions YWAM is a great orginization. I just finished my DTS with Reef To Outback in Townsville Australia.

The best part about YWAM is that there are heaps of opportunities to get into missions. You can do a DTS or you could mission build (which is what I am doing right now).m There are over 900 bases around the world so almost every contrie will have an opening.

And if you a worried about God providing or just want to get your feet wet you can Mission Build at YWAM Kona in Hawaii. They give Mission Builders who have not done a DTS free room and board. All you need to buy is your plane ticket and have some extra spending money. It is also a good way to start raising a support network.
