Um, if the Earth is only 6,000 years old, I think you might have to give up on continental drift. Otherwise, in the course of my lifetime, the distance between London and New York will have grown by 50 miles, and I think somebody might notice that.

Nahhh they have it worse, they think it either happened before the waters receded or right afterwards, so you have the continents reaching most of their current positions in a matter of minutes/hours, or course such things kill all life on the planet due to friction, heat, and mega tsunami's.

So when the water and land on the planet separated one day in creation week, and man was created that week, did it kill man? Or do you believe the bible?

Yes

If you imagine a life raft in a swimming pool, the raft would represent Pangaea.

On the right side of the raft is [what is now] Asia; and to the left side of the raft is [what is now] North & South America.

God placed the Garden somewhere on the right side of the raft.
Right, I guess it depends on what map of Pangaea we happen to find:)

In some, it seems China would be kinda north east.

Considering how big the universe is, I would think that it was a bit excessive if only one tiny planet was going to have life.
I agree.

If the universe was created for Man to inherit for eternity, it will be a lot of universe for us to inhabit and explore for eternity. :)

That would explain why it now appears "excessive". :)

You are forgetting how many years it took for him to do it.
Noah was in the prime of his life when He started building the Ark. He was only 500 years old. He lived another 450 years after the ark was completed. He was obviously a strong and healthy guy.

This shows that Kentucky Fried Chicken does more harm to the human body than building an ark.

Wherever the ark started out was not a mountain before the flood, how about that? Noah was strong for his age, but that poor old man wouldn't have survived the added stress on his body of lifting materials that far uphill combined with the thinner atmosphere at the tops of mountains.
No need for him to go all the way to the top of the mountain. The trees were lower down. The ark could have been built there.

And that is fine, it was just that another poster was trying to say that the ark settled at the same spot it was when the water rose. The ark settled on the top of a mountain, so I found that unreasonable.

To claim that is to be silly. Like they would know? However one could guess that because a certain area is sacred, and special, it is reasonable to think that maybe most events central to God's plan could have occurred in a fairly small area.

I suppose, but even in calm waters it would have drifted to an extent. Any wind, movement in the water from the rain early on, etc.
