I have one verse of the Bible which I meditate on a lot, to the extent that I think it has defined my faith, and indeed my whole theology. I am forever quoting it on this forum.
I suspect that others may have their own favourites, and would be interested to know what these verses may be.
This might seem an odd verse, but here it is. The context is Moses asking to be shown God's glory
Exodus 33 v 19
Then He said, "I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion"
When you place this statement alongside the character and example of Christ, you can see the fulfillment of Our Lord's claim that he and his Father are one and the same. It also reminds us that we cannot judge, because God's mercy is beyond our understanding.
So, any other verses? Thanks.
