I choose to respect their jewish heritage. Their given names were Hananiah, Azaria and Mishael, but when they were taken captive they were given names of the Babylonian culture by ole Nebbie and his gang.

I'm fond of Ezekiel's story of the dry bones. "Can these bones live?" Something about God breathing life into bones so lifeless, so dusty-dry, you'd think they were beyond hope, brings tears to my eyes every time.
