What do they teach you in Forensic Science? Inquiring minds want to know!

My program offers four different tracks; Biology/DNA, Toxicology, Pathology, and Psychology. I chose biology since it was closely related to my BS, and I just am endlessly fascinated by DNA. So in my track there is an emphasis on common biological evidence (not just DNA, but sperm, blood, etc), and population genetics. All of the tracks study the legal aspect of forensics (mainly admissibility of evidence and testifying in court), as well as criminalistics, which is just a broader study of crime scene work, and other basics like statistics and scientific writing. And then there's an internship and research/thesis project. It's honestly been a great experience, I can't think of a better fit for me in the science world.

Medicine is usually considered applied science, like engineering or computer science

Really it all boils down to philosophy. Pull the rug under methodological naturalism and all scientists are doing is tinkering in a playpen!

(I don't espouse the view, but I commonly see smug freshman philosophy majors/wannabe intellectuals here and else ware try to defame science by arguing against the philosophy of science. Nothing else makes me harder.)

It's in anthropology, which usually isn't considered a natural science, however, my field is forensic/biological anthropology, which includes classes in human evolution/biology (mostly genetics), physiology/anatomy, osteology, taphonomy, and chemistry...so I think it counts.
Next year, I'll start to work on my MS in human biology.

I run my own intelligence agency.

I do research in christian litterature. On the spare time I compose music. I am a retired musician. retired in that sense that i only play in my solitude. In highschool I chose music as my future. But changed my mind. Since 5 years back I am running my own intelligence agency. It is nothing fancy, simply keeping people informed of stuff, not by researching in what is hidden (thats what DEA, CIA, KGB and SS do) but as I mentioned in christian litterature.
