CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Has anyone noticed that a creationist or YEC will almost never tell you what their background is. You may see them decry peer review and talk big about the science behind YEC or creationism but 99.9% of the time if you ask them what their personal experience is in the area of peer review or science research they simply do not answer.
And God help you if you mention that you have a PhD because suddenly the highest academic degree available is worth nothing to them.
It is so telling, that which is not said.

I chose "Other".
After completing secondary school (high school) students can choose to go to college / university. Some offer an alternative called "Sixth Form", two optional extra years at secondary school. Here you earn your A-levels and A2s - the entry requirements for starting a bachelor's degree. I think the US equivalent is Junior college.
All in all I spend 13 years in education.

Like many transitions: it was a quantum relaxation, coupled with the emission of a photon.
Okay, so it actually involved reading some textbooks, then applying for and getting a job as a software engineer at an up and coming sequencing center. This was a time when large data sets were new to most biologists/geneticists, and it was relatively easy to come in from other quantitative and computational fields. I'd been a software person in physics, so that gave me a path. Once aboard, I gradually picked up the genetics (or such genetics as I have actually picked up) and started moving into data analysis and simulation.

Yes, I wonder about that too.
Most theology majors I know aren't creationists though. A couple are, but even a couple I know from the states with PhDs from southern universities are not creationists. One of them after explaining why creationism was without much real support in scripture said 'No, but we can hardly say that - the common church goer would rebel.'.
A lady with a high degree in theology from Norway told me in a slightly less diplomatic tone 'Pff. Creationism? No serious theologian believes in that any more. It's nonsense!'
It all leaves one scratching one's head. At least that's the case for me. Where is it they come from, and why are they what they are? Theologians appear to not be creationists very often. Most major churches have rejected it, since before christ people read the creation story allegorically... And yet... They're around. And they're loud.

Which means I had the first 2 yeears for a Major in Math and Physics, Majors Inorganic. Non-Majors Organic (Because 4 3 hour labs a week was enough, 5 was just too many) and a bit of Majors Bio.
MBA for grad school.
When I was in School the rule was yuor GPA woudl on average drop a full point between Undergrad and Grad School. Mine improved .7 and I was working far less.
