Hi All,

I have already introduced myself in the General Introductions thread, but wanted to say hello here. Like somebody else said, I call myself a Messianic Gentile because i am a Christian who wants to learn more about Messianism, to go back to the roots of the Christian faith so I can better understand my beliefs.

I am grateful to have found this space to learn more and please if you feel so inclined pray for me that I would grow closer to Christ through my time here.

Greetings, this my first post on the entire website. I'm still getting my bearings and don't plan on posting much just because of work. I have read the sop and agree to abide by the rules of it.

I'm a futurist who believes that the 70th week of Daniel is to come and that the start date of the 70 week prophecy is found in Nehemiah chapter 2.

I have ticked "posting as a guest" - I used to be Messianic, I have mixed Jewish and Christian heritage, I'm just not sure I believe in the first two items of the SOP strongly enough to say "I believe", but I'm inclined to think that, in my own way, I do still practice, I'm just holding my beliefs lightly.

One of the things that makes me question the idea that MJ is Judaism is the emphasis on belief, which seems to me to be a decidedly Christian, Hellenic perspective. ‍

I believe the term Judaism in the MJ is more for the contrast and compared to Christian Hellenic perspective and practices. There is a lot of Orthodox Judaism that is based more on traditions than on Biblical. It is tight rope to walk on. We re-examine both the various Christian branch perspectives and also the various Jewish perspectives. MJ is a strange blend of old and new, mixed and varied even down to the individuals proclaiming to be a part of the movement. So welcome TzipiDee to our little corner. As to the SOP, some lines had to be drawn in the sand to have a start in defining our faith. It is not in concrete, not for everyone but enough to garner a start.

Hello. I have been a practicing Messianic Christian for about 30 years. There is no congregation in my area, but we lived by one several years ago and attended.
I do have a question concerning the Statement of Faith for CF. The notes state “Faith groups and individuals that deny the full, eternal deity of Jesus Christ or His incarnation whereby He, as God, took on human flesh (becoming fully God and fully man in one person), are considered non-Christians at CF. Posts that deny the full, eternal deity of Jesus Christ or His incarnation are considered non-Christian theology and are not allowed in "Christians Only" forums. Discussions in all "Christians Only" forums must be in alignment with Trinitarian beliefs.” Many Messianic Christians and Jews, myself included, believe in the eternal deity of Jesus Christ and His incarnation as the Messiah but avoid the word “Trinity” all together. Jesus is the Messiah, and that is good enough for me. Am I a non-Christian for this forum?
