I refuse to suck a bug. Both because TNG might be winning me over, and because I refuse to be told to eat meat by a vegetarian.

The President of the Parish Council and I have an agreement where I will watch TNG if he watches Doctor Who. Plus my wife got me to promise that I'd watch an episode of TNG every time I swear. I'd be done if people in this town weren't such bad drivers.

I like TNG also, but the only downer about the series is its atheist overtones....

I'm a big fan though. I have autographs from some of the cast of course....

They do that in many parts of the Black Church as well (where pre-prayer time becomes the sermon in prep for another sermon) - in addition to the pastor saying either "As we come to a close" or "For the Church Announcements" always being taken as an indication for 30-40 more minutes of speaking occurring

But on the issue, you might be Orthodox if you define "contemporary" or "current events" by what happened in the first 7 centuries of the Church
