Im familiar with the structure found on Mt. Ararat that has the exact dimensions of the Ark, as well as a grid shaped pattern that consists of man made iron fittings.

While I wont say that it is definitely the ark, it sure seems odd that its sitting in the place it was told and has the dimensions of the Ark in the bible.

If a scientist discovered that a piece of wood was from the 1950's A.D., then the piece of wood was probably from the 1950's A.D.
A scientist who bases his discoveries on "religion" would be laughed out of the scientific community.

BW you are missing the pure joy of Paul in the NT about the seed of Israel. He and the NT are not overlooking Jer 31. Christ was the seed. All those, of any background, who are in him are the ones countless as the sands of the shore.

I am thoroughly enjoying the pure joy in Christ expressed in the New Testament, without wresting its message to make "Israel" mean "the church." Something that no New Testament passage anywhere says, regardless of how you wrest it.

You are talking about something different from what 7sForDays referred to. It was even on a different mountain. The structure 7sForDays referred to is on a different mountain, some sixty or so miles from Mount Ararat. (The Bible does not say the Ark rested on mount Ararat. It says it rested in the mountains of Ararat.)

The structure 7sForDays referred to does not have an opening that can be entered, But when confronted by evidence presented by Ron Wyatt, they declared it to be the resting place of Noah's are, and made it a national memorial with a visitor center, etc. But since it is high in the mountains, it is only open a few months a year.

c14 dating on wood from that site confirmed it to be of approximately the correct age.

I personally checked the accuracy of this story with the Turkish Embassy in the USA, and they confirmed it to be correct.

And I can tell you with absolute assurance, that "scientists" present a great many "facts" that are as wrong as they could possibly be. And they often refuse to even consider proven facts that disagree with their pre-conceived bias.

And I am not even entering the debate in regard to the structure found on Mount Ararat, except to say that it strikes me as nothing short of ridiculous to claim that the structure in question was actually constructed long after people had already been searching the mountain for a long time.

...snd I suppose that you have PROOF that they were trying to disprove Christianity.
Maybe you can give examples when religious bias has been a factor - and if you counter with the nonsense that the universe is ONLY 6000 years old, then I will just laugh at you.
We are STILL in the 6th Day of Creation and when Jesus Christ returns to end the Tribulation, we will FINALLY begin the 7th Day, when God will FINALLY rest.

BW - My point was simply this. If a scientist makes a false finding to "disprove" a religion, then he or she will be laughed out of the scientific community. If said scientist states that a piece of wood was from 1950, when in fact it was much older, then he or she will face such ridicule that he or she will never again be able to show his or her face.
To ridicule a scientist because he or she makes a finding that the "Christian" community disagrees with, is asinine.

I've NEVER heard anyone say that...and I'm amil. My stand is that Christ came in judgment of Jerusalem to allow a stiffnecked people (for the most part) that crucified our Lord. The message to them was that the covenant He made with them was over...which is why the temple was absolutely destroyed just as Jesus said in would be. not ONE stone remained upon another, and the people were dispersed off the land.

It was the judgment of Israel/Jerusalem that took place in 70 AD. You don't have to agree with that...in time, you will!

Actually, If you had bothered to read the link, the Chinese and Turkish team claimed it WAS Noah's Ark (and still do)

who proved it wasn't.

"Coincidence" just like "luck" and "chance" are words I try not to use. They are ways of eliminating God from the equation to me. Sometimes I slip up and use "coincidence" but the other's I don't use.

I'm familiar with many statement and sightings of the ark but really, I don't need that to tell me Noah's flood happened. There's more than enough geographical and archaeological evidence of the great flood.

I've been to Turkey while in the Navy (Izmir and Antalya). At Izmir I visted Ephesus, at Antalya I visited Perga.

Antalya is quite beautiful and scenic just lovely mountain scenery.
