as I said yesterday, the half-coming depends only on how you look at the divine retribution in the DofJ as expressed in that Luke passage. If you want your beagle to be taken more seriously than yourself, continue on. But if you have taken time to read some commentaries on that passage, I would like to hear your thoughts.

A visitation from God can be an act of wrath. 2 Thess 2 says the DofJ was a present act of the wrath of God. There are reasons for thinking of the DofJ as a coming. But it was not the final day of the world, as you know. Nor the judgement of God on the whole world.

The idea of a visitation is also found in the vineyard parable. First a couple servants 'visit' the vineyard, finally the son. You know what happened. The owner kicked everyone out and had it worked by new people. The owner doing that could also be called a visitation.

Most dispensational leaders consider John Hagee an heretic for teaching that Jews can be saved without trusting in Jesus.

I have only listened to him a few times, and never heard him say such an exceedingly false doctrine, but it is widely reported that he does teach this.
