The law is just a tutor.. Tee hee The law was never intended to be the school master.. Now that we have the Master we no longer need the tutor..

True, but WE have changed. We DIED with Christ. The law still stands, and the ENTIRE law still stands. It hasn't been changed in any way. It has not been reduced to ten commandments, it has not been given to anybody but Israel, it has not been divided. That's like saying , because we know Jesus , we no longer need Him . The schoolmaster didn't go anywhere , & has not changed

I'm not subject to, nor do I need, the law any more than Adam did.
Sin didn't enter in by the law. Sin entered in by Adam. that is why Christ is the second Adam. Adam did not have the law..Correct , but it's because of the Law , that we need Christ , everyday . Therefore , the Law is still relevant to us as Christians .
The torah and the law isn't one and the same.According to Paul in Romans 8:5-8, if you consider yourself to be "of the Spirit," you ARE subject to the Torah of God.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be If the carnal mind is not subject to the law of God then if you are of the Spirit...?
Are you?
Or are you of the flesh and "not subject to the Law of God?"
Marc
YES or NO: Do The 10 Commandments Still Apply To Us Today?
No.... The law is not made for a Righteouse person.
Who is a Righteouse person ?....anybody who puts their Faith in Christ Jesus, instead of trying to live a Law based life for Righteousness.
Peace

I have never been a jew and I have never been under the old covenant. I have never ever had anything whatsoever to do with the mosaic law or been subject to it in any way.holo let's put what is the law or what is the Torah.
If you are of the Spirit are you subject to the law of God?
Since you are of the Spirit are you subject to it?
Marc
The new covenant was mot made with the gentiles either, it was made with the Jews. It says so in Hebrews.I have never been a jew and I have never been under the old covenant. I have never ever had anything whatsoever to do with the mosaic law or been subject to it in any way.
Was the old covenant made with gentiles? No, it was made with Israel. In fact, it specifically starts with "... the Lord your God, who delivered you out of Egypt" - I've never been in Egypt, nor do I belong to a people who have been. Has the law been divided, or has anything been added to it or subtracted from it? No. Did the law use to be only for Israel, but then at some point changed and extended to the rest of the world as well? Nope, the bible certainly doesn't suggest such a thing. Is there even jew or gentile in Christ? No, there's not even man or woman! Is the believer a heir to Moses? No, to Abraham, who didn't have the law. Does the born-again believer need the law for anything? Not that I know of...

Yes we are Abrahams seed.. Who was called the Father of Faith. For Abraham didn't have the law..The new covenant was mot made with the gentiles either, it was made with the Jews. It says so in Hebrews.
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
If any man be Christ then he is Abraham's seed and that is how we are partakers of the new covenant.
We can't just "leave" that discussion, because we need to know what we're talking about. Every time I say I'm not under the law, you reply with "so the torah doesn't apply to you?" or something to that effect, and I have to explain yet again that when I say "law" I mean "law", as in "a set of commandments" - in other words, what is known as "the Mosaic law" given to the jews.holo let's leave the discussion on what is the law or what is the Torah.

I have never been under that law and I never will. I certainly haven't seen it in the bible anywhere that I, as a gentile and a believer, is under ANY of the Mosaic law. Furthermore, if I HAD been under it, I would be under ALL of it, don't you thinkg? Or do you believe that part of the law has been done away with?
Once again Marc as has been told to you many times.. we love Him Because He first Loved us..holo are you or are you not subject to the greatest commandment which is love of God?
Marc
Love accomplishes the law.We don't love God because we are told to.. We just Love God.. Tee hee.
