So there are galaxies so far away that it would take billions of years for the light to reach us. This light and time is also scientifically measured. So how can a YEC argument stand against this?
That the whole point fo Carbon dating is that it is quick and yet w constantly keep getting measurable ages even from things that are billions of years old.Why not post from a non-biased site for starters?
Not sure why we're talking about carbon-14 here, because it decays way too fast. I measure the age of rocks most scientists will use the amount of lead in objects to determine the decay of heavy elements like uranium.

Well of course you're absolutely right.
The logic and evidence have to be ignored in order to maintain the YEC point of view. Some are able to accomplish that, and count it as a virtue. Others of us cannot do that, and count that as a virtue.
You don't have to ignore evidence to maintain YEC.
You simply have to believe that God created a working, mature universe. He wasn't going to plop Adam into planet where he couldn't see the stars for billions of years, was He? No, of course not, as Genesis specifically says that God created the stars to serve a purpose.

The problem is that measurable amounts of C14 have been found in things like diamonds, which are supposed about a billion years old, which obviously can't be if you can measure the ration since it should be zero, but there hasn't been a zero found in such dating of material that contains some carbon in them.
